I’ve always wanted to know the context of the actual story. I never got around to collecting the comics, so this is perfect. It really makes me want to read them even more.

I have been a huge Coheed fan since I stumbled across Delirium Trigger on a Warped Tour sampler in 2003. I have always been aware of the story and characters, but have never dived into it completely. Your videos are exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for making these. Side note: I just saw them Saturday March 5 here in Richmond and it was the absolute best show of the four I have seen. The energy ,enthusiasm, setlsit, literally everything was just perfect. If anyone has a chance to go see them while they are on tour right now I can not recommend it enough. They are on a different level right now. They have always been phenomenal, but this show was almost transcendent.
I used to hate coheed then fell in love with them. Most of the coheed fans I met were weird. Maybe I was too. But damn I never met a hot gorgeous coheed fan like this girl. Now I'm the only one out of any of my friends who listens to them. They're like my best kept secret. About to binge all these since I used to follow the story almost a decade ago.

This is a great explainer, i loved C&C back in high school and knew of the story but hadnt looked deeper, I feel like ive been brought up to speed very well on the conceptual part now. Hey, thanks for this. I just started looking into the coheed and Cambria discography this morning, and as a blind person who can't read comics, I was totally confused. I'm one of those people who hears a concept album and has to understand the full context of the story, I can't just listen to the songs on their own if I know that there is more to them. But with the whole comics thing I was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.

ReSounding Source It’s not for everyone if you’re not really into comics or sci-fi you may not enjoy it as much. The good thing is you don’t need to follow the story to appreciate the music, it just adds to the experience for those who like to know the meaning behind lyrics. I personally think it’s worth reading but that’s up to you. There is a reoccurring theme of dealing with loss and the strength of love.

Yes and no. It depends on the song. For the most part the broad strokes of the plot are in chronological order with the songs, but I feel like the lyrics for parts of some songs relate to other sections of the story.

James LaBrie's vocal style was an acquired taste for me, but it's some of the most amazing music ever made. You will definitely love it I promise! Also, every album Symphony X made were concept albums based off of The Odysee, Paradise Lost, Dante's Inferno, and other tasty shits! Might be too dudely for most girls though, but they're the most underrated band of all time IMO :D
