- I wrote this song a few days after being told that my fallopian tubes aren’t functional and that I will never be able to conceive naturally. It made me think of all the other times in my life where I was so sure of an outcome but was painfully reminded that fate has far more control over the eb and flow of life than I do… When I ended my first engagement… when I got my heart destroyed for the first time… when I realized I might never be able to have a baby… knowing my Grandma will never meet my kids if I can even manage to have any… none of these things were at all what I imagined would happen in my life… but beautiful things have come as a result of each of these things… so I have to trust that there is a reason, let go of what I cannot control and allow what is meant to be to come to me… Hope you enjoy this song 'Dreams Die Hard' from my album called 'Hollywood Dead'.

It is more about healing seeing the smoke go away than a broken person regretting the fire stopped burning. It is beautifully written, nostlagic and sweet, so mature and reflective. I don't say it in a bad way like copying, but this song gives me a Taylor Swift vibe (the lyrics at least). I like it though just like all the other songs on this albums. Impossible to pick a favourite ! 😂
