Am I the only one who is going through a crazy Pokemon phase? Like trying to collect Pokemon cards, watch the show, and play the games within like a 1 month period lol.

The Pidgys, the Tyranitar, the Geeta, all of the Gold's are absolutely 🔥, I pulled the Scizor IR and it's beautiful too. Kudos to the artists for doing such a great job on this set
I do not think that the interest for this set is low... I think that the pull rates are too good! This set is basically Charizard or bust and all of the charizards are "easy" to pull. So a lot of people stop opening packs when they get their 3 charizards after 2-3 booster boxes.
My son got his Obsidian Flames from the Pokémon Center Friday morning. He had only two pulls, but they were the alternate art and full art Charizards. He was very excited.
I really like Obsidian Flames because it’s small and easy to finish I don’t have the money to buy a case and then still be missing half the set, so this is great I can get two booster boxes and get most of the set then buy the singles I need
I recently got back into pokemon collecting, so decided to buy obsidian flames ETB, since it was a release weekend, and the charmander promo card is cool. And I pulled the golden charizard ex. I am happy :)
I think UA-cam guys seem to forget that not everyone is going around buying $700 cases of bb. It’s easy for them to pull because they get more cards than the average person. I’m two BB’s in and nothing.
If there is no "chase", there is no real value to the set as the top rated card will be very cheap. Therefore there is no incentive for people to rip. This set is going to be bottom tier.

I opened 2 booster boxes of obsidian flames and I only got 16 hits both boxes combined… Also no single SAR (double gold star) pulled… HOWEVER I got 2 gold charizards and 1 full art tera charizard. I don’t know how to feel lol

My pulls haven’t been terrible for OF. Opened about 2 booster boxes worth of packs and have 2 charizard ex full art and gold. Enough to play the deck. OF is pretty good for the TCG. Charizard fun to play
Yea I'm gonna stick to what I always say I should do and just buy the cards I want and not open packs lol. There are so many amazing art full art cards in this set that I want and I think they are pretty cheap with everyone just wanting the Charizards.
I think adding the Masterballs would just increase the value of packs, and the only masterball holos that would be costly would be a select few hype cards. It wouldn’t really provide a lot of value for casual pack openers, which is the main target in my opinion for 151 set. Plus a master set would be more of a hassle, I’m personally okay with them not having the masterball foils

Bro I opened one booster box and one ETB and got the Charizard sir, Pidgeot sir, Greta sir, Poppy sir, ninetails, Scizor, cleffa, pidgey are rares. Got every card I wanted in this set on release day which is just crazy! The pulls are so easy and takes away from the fact I pulled the Charizard chase card because everyone I feel like has pulled it :(

Judging from my usual luck, won't be surprised that my 2 booster box on order won't have an zard in them. I haven't pulled any top chase since SW Battle Styles.
Hate to break it to you Jake, but all the SV booster boxes have averaged 3 normal illustration rares per box so you should probably change your expectations down from 6
I think a ton of people are opening the obsidian flames. I can verify that the ETB and the booster bundle had almost No hits... I got 1 hit in the bundle so 1/6. and the ETB I got 2 IR's and that's it lol. Should have done the booster box.
I'm so excited for it! So far, I've loved it so far, and I'm shocked at how great my pulls have been! I pulled the SIR 10 packs into my booster box. Beyond the Zards, there are so many others I have loved.

Congrats on the Charizard SIR hit. I was excited to pull one too from a booster box. The quality control on PE and OF has been so bad. Worst of all sets so far. Whitening, knicks, off centered, cut lines. Disappointing.

I’ve opened 200 packs and have not had a fun time. Not a single SAR card and have only pulled 3 ARs and 2 FA cards. It’s the worst luck I’ve ever had with a set.
the rates of all scarlet and violet sets are awful like actually awful ive opened like 65 packs since scarlet and violet and have gotten maybe 10 hits and not big hits just hits

After opening 2boxes of this set, I really realized how less fun it is to open scarlet and violet sets than older yellow border sets. Not having a little pack trick and grey borders drop the novelty of the pack opening expirmence and the guaranteed holo and ex pull rates don’t leave as much anticipation for opening packs:/
They usually don't. That's one of the things that stand out or give JP products and edge aside from slightly better QC. JP cards will always look nicer and more premium
There's so many people hoarding sets that none of them will ever be "rare" or hard to get. There will always be warehouses full of every modern set. People are just easy to manipulate and pay obscene prices for modern sets because of what happened to vintage boxes.

Opened 2 booster boxes, 1 regular ETB, 1 booster bundle, and all the 3 card + 1 card promo blisters. Got 1 gold Charizard, 1 regular ex Charizard. Have 1 more box sealed, gonna have to buy the SIR Charizard as a single I’m thinking.
I think the problem with your pack opening experience is that you always want the highest priced cards so when you don’t get them your are disappointed. Booster boxes are OP now but you keep complaining about them, even saying you don’t get enough hits 🤯 Same with Paldea Evolved. You got a bunch of good pulls from a booster box previously but because none of them were the ones you wanted (the most expensive), you said the box was average. Not trying to hate on you, just how the videos come across. I think if you were to try and build master sets for example, without an eye on the investment side, it would be a lot more fun to open
Well I got the highest priced card in this video and I still didn't love the experience. I think art rares should come 1:6 packs instead of the current rate of 1:12 packs. That's all
This set is awful, high pullrates and mediocre art, the cards will be worth something for the first month than they will not go for more than 10-20 dollars because everyone will have the chase card. I would maybe turn to japanese set on this one as pulls in those are not that high. Also :) In a month we have pokemon 151 english set. Pokemon just did obsidian flames (as a filler) because they want to milk as much money as they can before 151 will drop because after that, everybody will forget obsidian flames ever existed :)
How can a high pull rate be awful? Pre Scarlet and Violet the complaint was it was too difficult to pull anything ‘good’. Easier pulls makes it more affordable for one thing. Crown Zenith has a higher pull rate and the general feeling is that is a positive for the set

Obsidian flames is way better than paldea evolved and it’s not really close

This is one of those sets that people need to not sleep on….take advantage on booster boxes while the price is low 😊

Pokemon boxes are like women. You have to scoop 'em up and open them when they're low.
The only bad thing is I got bored of it very quick 😅 I have nearly completed the set. The illustration rares are beautiful. I loved the pull rates !

Opened 2 BB's, 2 reg. ETB's, a PC ETB, and a 3 pack. No Zards in any form haha. But 2 Geetas and 2 Ninetails (and lots of Revarooms :/ )
The gold artazon is awesome it has lechonk at the bottom by the bench just chilling deff makes the card worth chasing

There are two good cards competitively in this set: Charizard Ex and Pidgeot Ex. The Pidgeot in particular is gamebreaking.
