This is the craziest hillclimb i have ever seen, and i have seen a LOT! The amount of mental/physical strength in this video is almost unreal, ultra fast for soo long! Absolute fav video i have ever seen! :O
Fantastic David. 4th overall in 9'59 "10 at his first participation in the Trento Bondone is an exceptional result. It's a hillclimb track of a difficulty that does not exist anywhere else in the world. The great champion Mauro Nesti participated for 7-8 consecutive years before to be able to get on the top step of the podium. To achieve a result like that of David al Bondone you need to be complete drivers: speed, memory, great physical and mental preparation and lots of courage. After more than 20 participations I realized that every time there is something to discover about this hillclimb track. It 's very sad that David is no longer racing in hillclimb races.
Boa tarde !!!! Abraço do Brasil.......
Svegliatevi !!!
Hello David, first of all its a very smooth drive, respect to that ! But...to the matter what the car is able to do... look to the run ... switch off the tone , and feel where you loose your time. In the slower parts, 180tees, for example... theres no constance in breaking in, an acc. out. The harmony is missing. In respect , i do motorsport more than 30 years , specially carting. I have no Idea about the feel in high speed , but in slower speed you can do much better ! Thank you !
2 years late to respond to this, but the reason why there is no consistent braking in the low speed corners is because this isn’t a circuit that can be memorised. This driver has to judge every single turn seperately as every single turn has a different approach and entry speed. This makes it incredibly hard as a driver to tell when a braking point is. Eventually you are able to sort of guess, but that margin for error is too small when doing such dangerous driving that it is better for him to brake earlier. I am sure that he’s capable of braking 10m+ later but won’t because of the risk!
David was at his first Trento Bondone. It is a very difficult track to learn. There are 42 hairpin curves, one different from the other and must be tackled in the right way only after many participations. It's not that simple, you have to be here to drive to understand how difficult this race is.
+JDMTurboful Indeed, it is a crazy looking video, but it is absolutely not fast forward. That's just what onboard footage looks like for F1 and GP2 cars, driven by great drivers, on a tight course. Hauser's recorded time for this run was 9:59.10, same as in this vid. That's an official FIA time. What's crazier than this? That same day, Simone Faggioli did this run 38 seconds faster, in an Osella FA30.
This is one of the most amazing hillclimb videos I've ever seen! Such commitment in such a fast car on such a long and technical course, amazing.
Impossible to comprehend the skills and the senses needed to drive like this.
+Th3uNn3rV3d You forgot the balls.
Dyr_gl PSN Yes, HUGE brass balls.
This is the craziest hillclimb i have ever seen, and i have seen a LOT!

I'm still in awe even after all this time seeing what humans have been able to achieve with an opposable thumb. What a fantastic run!
This fantastic ! thank you for sharing.
