@@InJasonsGarage As you may know, as of Dec. 31 2023 the company was forced to change its formulation. The VOCs (volatile organic compounds) were reduced to comply with new EPA regs. Is it just as good as the old formulation? Time will tell. Probably not. Around here we call it WD-41.
Technically -it was invented for military to spray on your joints to prevent arthritis due to long periods in trenches. W/D 40 stands for WAR DEPART 1940 the year it was invented then multiple uses were found, the list goes on and on. I’ve seen the patent for it that’s how I know for a Fact!!😮😅
I used the product as routine maintenance to all seals etc. Thought the door seals would be good to go for winter, but not so. I’m having to apply it constantly in upstate NY winter weather. Any ideas of what might be going on? Thanks!
How often is constantly? If the seals were pretty dry when you first applied it, it might need a few applications to "soak" in. Also, if the weather has been particularly nasty, you might need to apply more than when the weather is milder.
UPDATE for WINTER BLAST 2021: My truck has been sitting covered in snow and ice for 4 days straight. Once I cleaned the snow off, the door opened clean and without issue. The stuff works great!

Spray something with silicone. Get in the engine compartment and under the vehicle and spray all the rubbers bushings. The shocks struts axle boots anything where you see rubber. Rubber dries out over time and this will help keep them from not drying out.
i,ve been using silicone spray for years,not wd40, but just silicone spray on a rage and wipe your door seals all around, then spray it in the locks and door mechanisms and have had perfect results with no stuck doors no torn rubber seals or anything, anything with water in it will freeze up.
Yup, there's lots of stuff that do the job, but I prefer to use this stuff as it is made specifically for the application. That's why I made the video! 😎
I used Vaseline on my car door seals which seemed to not damage them but currently I haven’t used anything on my new vehicle. My new Toyota, RAV4 doesn’t seem to have problems as often with the door freezing
gummi's are for conditioning rubber, a "conditioned" rubber will still freeze.Gummi's marketing said it's also water repelant but I doubdt it can repel water more than wd 40... use wd 40 silicone instead of the regular blue one.

I grew up in Michigan, so I feel your pain.😄 For car windows, I always kept something like this handy and it worked reasonably well: amzn.to/3WeuqS7 I kept one in my house for the mornings so I wasn't holding a freezing cold can, and I kept one in my car for when I was at work, etc.
I must have gotten a bad batch. The Gummi Pflege I bought was a messy, disgusting rust color and did not have the applicator. I bought it online and didn't bother to return it, but it wasn't what you demonstrated, that's for sure.
If there is a phone number on the product, give them a call and let them know what you found out. Chances are they may send you some type of coupon or voucher you can use on next purchase. It has helped me on a couple items. Just be nice to customer service on phone. They are there to assist in getting you satisfaction.
I was told to use silicon spray on my window jambs so that the power windows would slide better, faster, and cause less resistance on the regulator and window mechanism. It did seem to help and also quietened any squeals or squeaks. Would this Gummi Pflege be better in this application as well?
Interesting thought. I don't think this would work well for the window guides in the door, this is more for conditioning rubber rather than lubricating moving parts.
You don't want bad door seals. I bought a used truck with a huge hole rusted through the floor board and the bottom of the door from water getting into the door, rusting out the bottom of the door and then rusting out the floor. I can stick my leg out bottom of the truck through that hole if the carpet wasn't covering it. Take care of your door seals.

Good question, but not a good idea...it may leave streaks that are hard to remove. You want the treatment to remain on door seals, but not to block your vision. Wiper blades are meant to replaceable on a regular basis, but door seals with proper care should not. I personally change wiper blades out once a year or two, based on usage. These are the wiper blades I have been using for MANY years that I have found are well worth the price: amzn.to/47TzK0o. They are expensive but WELL worth it. Give them a try and see. And for over 20 years I swear by this glass cleaner for glass (and pretty much anything that touches it including wiper blades) : amzn.to/47Ii2N3 So...bottom line...use the right tool for the right job. Gummi Pflege for door seals, quality wiper blades for the windshield, and quality glass cleaner for everything else. It might cost more up front, but does a better job and requires less maintenance...and you will be happier overall.
Twice during the winter season. Once before winter gets severe and then again before January 15, if you get a warmer not so cold sunny day. For the rest of the year, just keep an eye on the door seals-if they look dry you might apply more, just for fun, depending on how OCD you are. The name itself is fun, gummipfleige, and when I tell people they go-What? No, seriously? Gummy bears? Remember my dear, If you take care of your automobile She will take care of you. Applying gummipfleige is oddly satisfying...the rubber takes on a lovely glow of contentment.
@@InJasonsGarage yes. It happened this morning . Door was frozen shut and after I got it opened the actual latch wouldn't latch shut. After I manipulated it for a few minutes it must have loosened up, because it finally latched shut and I could drive without my flapping willy nilly. And, no, it was frozen shut also but opened after I couple of yanks.
@@coconutgirl816 Ok, go it. This is for weatherstrip and door seals, which it sounds like you need to get your doors open. However, the latch is a different issue and sounds like it needs to be lubricated with the proper product. I'd recommend cleaning any gunk and grime away from it using a rag and an old toothbrush, and then lubricating it with white lithium grease, which you should be able to get at any auto parts store. Hope this helps!
What if I don't have a microfiber cloth? Sometimes I wonder if microfiber cloths really have micro fibers or just abnormally small fibers pawned off as micro...

Nice video! I also used it. However, the trunk opening of my Seat Leon which has the same trunk opening as a VW Golf is always freezing in winter. The mechanism itself, do you have an idea on how to solve it? I thought of spraying silicon spray into it.
Slight correction in the pronunciation I know we Americans pronounce it Gum-me In German it actually pronounced Goo - me. Same for Gummi Bears (Gummibär).. its actually Goo-me bear. Plan buy some of this for the winter. Thanks for the tip.
Here's a real trick that dont cost nothing: push the door in a little bit first and break the ice lock without pulling on the handle. 😉 (it's not just the rubber that can ice up, its the whole door line.) 303 works fine as well to keep it slick and conditionned. Much cheaper too. 303 replaced pretty much everything slowly. Vynils, trims, headlights, laminated leather, anything plastic/pvc, waterproof bags, kayaks, name it. If its plastic and I like it, its got a coat of 303.
Interesting tip, but with the thing body panels I'd be worried about pressing a dent into the panel. I do like 303 products, used them for many years. Good stuff!
@@checkle1 I wouldn't recommend that myself. Repeated impact will form a dent, especially with the thing sheet metal modern cars use. Doing it the right way is my typical advice.
I couldn't get into my car today. (Missed 1/2 an apps.) Also if I needed to get away from-a bad situation, lets say, I would be stuck! So if my car had a key I would be able to spray the lock, but guess what? These new fangled cars have no keys. And I couldn't even press the button that electronically is supposed to open the door. Not even sure it was the sales that were frozen but maybe the door lock itself. My gas door was also slightly stuck. I did get it open to find a lot of water inside around the gas input. How that gets in is behind me. this is a new car and I am very upset that it freezes so easiy. At least I have a remote start but after starting it twice I still couldn't get the car to unlock. I sprayed a little deicer which is all I could find around the door lock area but don't know if it helped or not. Finally I was able to unlock the door and get it to open. What about Olive oil spray. I saw in another video that it could be used instead of silicone. Thanks for the tip on WD40.
I'm always worried I'm gonna break the door handle on Cadillac escalade... Because GM use plastic door handles... Krazy on why they using something like that on something thats being used daily
I'm wondering how this would work on the C6 Targa tops that "creak?" I've solved my creaking by of course adjusting each one of the three clamps to lock the top in place, but also used dialectic grease on all the weather stripping. It works, but does leave a residue that can be seen when the top is off. Not exactly good for car shows. lol What do you think? Save the Wave.🙋♂️
There is no residue left over after you let it soak in a bit and then wipe any excess off and then let it fully dry. It might be hard to see in the video, but it makes the seals look new again. I'd say give it a try and let me know if it solves your problem. I'll bet a lot of C6 owners who have creaky targa tops will be happy if it does!
Thank you Jason. You were reading my mind in my wondering if this product would improve the looks in that I couldn't tell from the video. Yes, I can think of at least a half-dozen members in my club who would be interested in how this would resolve their creaky top issues. I spent two hours doing all the adjustments on mine. I had to adjust the clamps, fit and test drive and then repeat and then repeat and repeat until I was satisfied. The grease was literally the "icing on the cake" in the creak dept. but not pretty.

@@jojokukahiko sounds like the latch mechanism is frozen up on the door…the part that connects with the striker on the body. If you can, use a hair dryer to warm it up and see it it moves. Also, on some cars they can get out of alignment. Try pulling the inside lever a few times and then try closing the door.
Yes, surprisingly on my Nissan Ultima my old Nissan Altima the door rubber seals. I did spray with WD-40, and it did curl up the seals. They made them curling distort
I like the gummy shtick but the applicator is always 100% useless. Break the thing off and use a finger pinch and a rag. Or clean extensively your trim (not good) before applying it. You want to keep the good cake on and condition to retain new. Once you start cleaning it up hard its starting to age. I follow that for all machines pretty much. Engines, and mechanical parts. It works differentely. It loves grease and dirt. Same goes for your door jams (white lithium grease 😉) or latches. Keep them well lubed proper and you can make any car last forever. Its also the best anti rust (coatin your backpanels and frame 100% with good grease not drippy oils).
WD40 is basically crap. It´s a cleaner and it´s good to remove rusty bolts that´s basically it. It´s not a lubricant. I didn´t know that German product is known in the US, interestng. You can also use silicone spray instead if you happen to have some.
Ha! More than a fair question. Even thought it is water-based, doesn't mean it will necessarily freeze like water does alone. It has more properties to it than that and I have been using it for a long time with no freezing issues. As I type this, it is in the single digit temperatures from the ice storm we are having here and my doors are still not frozen shut. The stuff works and using it is much less expensive than replacing door seals!
For some reason, there's zero voice, I'd just got done watching another video that played fine on something else, hate to give thumbs down on it but can't hear it, not the best reader especially when must be fast at, I lose and fail at that, I use Synthetic Spray oil that's made for Rubber, haven't read up on W-D40 in a long time, been buying other names that's been proven to me by others, I use Synthetic spray that's great for Rubber seals, many car sales men use on all body mounts to stop any sweaks and something to look for, some like me use often to keep condition in very good shape, I buy cheap sponges and after I wash my vehicles, I wipe them down with a shami that rolls up and fits in plastic tube, best I've ever used, keep one for door jams and under hoods and trunk area, they can be washed but never dry, always should keep wet, even keep one in house for any spills as it picks up any liquids fast and holds about 1 1/2 cups at my guess, then with my cheap sponge that I keep in a zip lock bag just for this purpose, I spray it down good on one side and try to wear a rubber glove to keep oil off hands, I scrub the rubber seals with Sponge part with Synthetic oil made for Rubber and many other things, my yellow Sponge is black on 1 side with oil on it, I use the blue paper towels shop towel and wipe off any extra so none gets on your clothes at all and don't scrub oil out, just a quick wipe of paper towel, yesterday, my truck wasn't done yet and tree service must of been called to tree on wires on pole and my SUV parked under it across the street, just 30 feet, I went to open my door and it was done last year but we had 2 inches of rain for 2 days and weather went from 56 degrees down to 10 degrees with wind chills of 1 degree outside at 8:30 a.m. my handle almost broke, I stopped and then used a quarter in pocket and put at just below trim so if chipped paint, not as noticeable, I pryed with quarter just a tiny bit and kept a steady pull on handle so it wouldn't break off in hand, I've seen people just pull even harder and fast, then handle is in hand before I can say don't do that. Do all Seals that's used and if can wait until SUN hitting vehicle after being that cold or having automatic start, then start vehicle up to help it, still use oil that's made for RUBBER or can cause damage to them, Dealerships sell it in tubes for car's with Sunroofs and T-Tops, this oil I wouldn't use on windows at all, if those seals are starting to dry up, then buy Dealership stuff made for those window treatments. Oil will spear windows as it goes up and down. Not good for that. I'm sure if he made a video that I can't hear it and it's WD-40 then it wouldn't surprise me that it's good for rubber, WD STANDS FOR WATER DISPLACEMENT, NASA Made it by accident for another product and it was there 40th time trying to make it what they were trying to make and someone decided to market this oil for all around use. If vehicle has distributor cap and driving in rain and hitting some big puddles and vehicle stalls and not starting up, spray WD-40 Around the Distributor Cap and it should start right up like magic, might not run perfectly but will get it running again and that's a sign that you can have a hairline crack in the Distributor cap and need a tune-up. I'm no professional at all but learned enough from making mistakes and watching others do this to my vehicle as a friend that knew more than me. Enough to leave an impression on me that I never forgot it, years later Google came out and finally figured out how the name was started. I use BLASTER SILICONE LUBRICANT. it states it works on glass but again I wouldn't but that's me. Spend enough time cleaning stuff that I'll use right stuff if needed. I need to buy some for my sunroof as its dried out and want revive it right so no leaks, will buy Dealership stuff when cold goes away and try then. Best Regards to all. Again if live in cold area, save money and buy what's best for you as long it's good on rubber. I learned of this product from PB BLAST to get rusted nuts off and then they came out with this stuff. Still have WD-40 in garage.
Unfortunately the gummi pflege did NOT keep my doors from freezing. Highly disappointed. I did just like all these folks on UA-cam did, but sadly to say no work for me. Good thing I did not spend that much money on it.
Sorry that you had that experience. That's very strange as I and others have been using it for years and it does great. I just applied it again last month. Were the seals wet when you applied it or anything like that?
@bruce wayne How long have you been using it? My concern is there might be something in there that degrades the seal, like I mentioned ha s been _alleged_ with WD-40. I believe that de-icer has some alcohol in it (haven't used it in years) but if so, it might dry the seal out and cause it to crack early. As I mention it the 2:00 mark, I always say that wherever possible, use the specific tool for a specific job. In this case, a container of the right stuff is much cheaper than a new door seal. 😎
@@InJasonsGarage oh yes i agree, ive been using it for some years but not all the time,depending on where you are and how cold it gets! its useful if you go to unlock your door and the seal is frozen together just to get you into the vehicle, then you cold use a silicone spray to treat the seal and keep it in good order but i guess it depends on the condition of the vehicle and how much you care about it .

Silicone is okay but it dries. Also you want to put something better under your car or truck and that is woolwax

Recently moved to New Hampshire. Nobody warned me about frozen doors! I tried the silicone- no luck. Maybe Gummipflege can help!

When my car door freezes I use a bottle of warm/hot water and run it down the door crack. Its melts the ice and works every time and costs nothing

Sounds to me like yes, it was a bad batch.
Sounds like you got a tube of processed animal fat which is what happens to it over time. It turns brown. I think you got scammed.

Good question, but not a good idea...it may leave streaks that are hard to remove. You want the treatment to remain on door seals, but not to block your vision. Wiper blades are meant to replaceable on a regular basis, but door seals with proper care should not. I personally change wiper blades out once a year or two, based on usage.
These are the wiper blades I have been using for MANY years that I have found are well worth the price: amzn.to/47TzK0o. They are expensive but WELL worth it. Give them a try and see.
And for over 20 years I swear by this glass cleaner for glass (and pretty much anything that touches it including wiper blades) : amzn.to/47Ii2N3
So...bottom line...use the right tool for the right job. Gummi Pflege for door seals, quality wiper blades for the windshield, and quality glass cleaner for everything else.
It might cost more up front, but does a better job and requires less maintenance...and you will be happier overall.

Keep all your vehicles rubber pliable by periodically spraying / wiping with 303 Protectant .
303 makes some really good stuff, but I prefer to use this stuff as it is made specifically for the application. That's why I made the video! 😎

I used this on my 4th gen Firehawk and now my seals leak near the rear pillars on both sides. The seals are as hard as the rubber on the tires now.

Twice during the winter season.
Once before winter gets severe and then again before January 15, if you get a warmer not so cold sunny day.
For the rest of the year, just keep an eye on the door seals-if they look dry you might apply more, just for fun, depending on how OCD you are.

After freezing rain, it will open fine but won't close securely? And to be clear, you are talking about the LATCH and not the SEAL?
@@InJasonsGarage yes. It happened this morning . Door was frozen shut and after I got it opened the actual latch wouldn't latch shut. After I manipulated it for a few minutes it must have loosened up, because it finally latched shut and I could drive without my flapping willy nilly. And, no, it was frozen shut also but opened after I couple of yanks.
@@coconutgirl816 Ok, go it. This is for weatherstrip and door seals, which it sounds like you need to get your doors open. However, the latch is a different issue and sounds like it needs to be lubricated with the proper product. I'd recommend cleaning any gunk and grime away from it using a rag and an old toothbrush, and then lubricating it with white lithium grease, which you should be able to get at any auto parts store. Nice video! I also used it. However, the trunk opening of my Seat Leon which has the same trunk opening as a VW Golf is always freezing in winter. The mechanism itself, do you have an idea on how to solve it? I thought of spraying silicon spray into it.

Here's a real trick that dont cost nothing: push the door in a little bit first and break the ice lock without pulling on the handle. 😉 (it's not just the rubber that can ice up, its the whole door line.) 303 works fine as well to keep it slick and conditionned. Much cheaper too. 303 replaced pretty much everything slowly. Vynils, trims, headlights, laminated leather, anything plastic/pvc, waterproof bags, kayaks, name it. If its plastic and I like it, its got a coat of 303.
Interesting tip, but with the thing body panels I'd be worried about pressing a dent into the panel.

I've been doing this with all my cars. I just bump it with my hip in a stronger spot and it breaks the ice nicely.
@@checkle1 I wouldn't recommend that myself. Repeated impact will form a dent, especially with the thing sheet metal modern cars use. Doing it the right way is my typical advice.
I couldn't get into my car today. (Missed 1/2 an apps.) Also if I needed to get away from-a bad situation, lets say, I would be stuck! So if my car had a key I would be able to spray the lock, but guess what? These new fangled cars have no keys. And I couldn't even press the button that electronically is supposed to open the door. Not even sure it was the sales that were frozen but maybe the door lock itself. My gas door was also slightly stuck. I did get it open to find a lot of water inside around the gas input. How that gets in is behind me. this is a new car and I am very upset that it freezes so easiy. At least I have a remote start but after starting it twice I still couldn't get the car to unlock. I sprayed a little deicer which is all I could find around the door lock area but don't know if it helped or not. Finally I was able to unlock the door and get it to open. What about Olive oil spray. I saw in another video that it could be used instead of silicone. Thanks for the tip on WD40.

I'm wondering how this would work on the C6 Targa tops that "creak?" I've solved my creaking by of course adjusting each one of the three clamps to lock the top in place, but also used dialectic grease on all the weather stripping. It works, but does leave a residue that can be seen when the top is off. Not exactly good for car shows. lol What do you think? Save the Wave.🙋♂️
There is no residue left over after you let it soak in a bit and then wipe any excess off and then let it fully dry. It might be hard to see in the video, but it makes the seals look new again. I'd say give it a try and let me know if it solves your problem. I'll bet a lot of C6 owners who have creaky targa tops will be happy if it does!
Thank you Jason. You were reading my mind in my wondering if this product would improve the looks in that I couldn't tell from the video. Yes, I can think of at least a half-dozen members in my club who would be interested in how this would resolve their creaky top issues. I spent two hours doing all the adjustments on mine. I had to adjust the clamps, fit and test drive and then repeat and then repeat and repeat until I was satisfied. The grease was literally the "icing on the cake" in the creak dept. but not pretty.

@@jojokukahiko sounds like the latch mechanism is frozen up on the door…the part that connects with the striker on the body. If you can, use a hair dryer to warm it up and see it it moves. Also, on some cars they can get out of alignment. Try pulling the inside lever a few times and then try closing the door.

Yes, surprisingly on my Nissan Ultima my old Nissan Altima the door rubber seals. I did spray with WD-40, and it did curl up the seals. They made them curling distort

I like the gummy shtick but the applicator is always 100% useless. Break the thing off and use a finger pinch and a rag. Or clean extensively your trim (not good) before applying it. You want to keep the good cake on and condition to retain new. Once you start cleaning it up hard its starting to age. I follow that for all machines pretty much. Engines, and mechanical parts. It works differentely. It loves grease and dirt. Same goes for your door jams (white lithium grease 😉) or latches. Keep them well lubed proper and you can make any car last forever. Its also the best anti rust (coatin your backpanels and frame 100% with good grease not drippy oils).

WD40 is basically crap. It´s a cleaner and it´s good to remove rusty bolts that´s basically it. It´s not a lubricant. I didn´t know that German product is known in the US, interestng. You can also use silicone spray instead if you happen to have some.

Ha! More than a fair question. Even thought it is water-based, doesn't mean it will necessarily freeze like water does alone. It has more properties to it than that and I have been using it for a long time with no freezing issues. As I type this, it is in the single digit temperatures from the ice storm we are having here and my doors are still not frozen shut. The stuff works and using it is much less expensive than replacing door seals!

For some reason, there's zero voice, I'd just got done watching another video that played fine on something else, hate to give thumbs down on it but can't hear it, not the best reader especially when must be fast at, I lose and fail at that, I use Synthetic Spray oil that's made for Rubber, haven't read up on W-D40 in a long time, been buying other names that's been proven to me by others, I use Synthetic spray that's great for Rubber seals, many car sales men use on all body mounts to stop any sweaks and something to look for, some like me use often to keep condition in very good shape, I buy cheap sponges and after I wash my vehicles, I wipe them down with a shami that rolls up and fits in plastic tube, best I've ever used, keep one for door jams and under hoods and trunk area, they can be washed but never dry, always should keep wet, even keep one in house for any spills as it picks up any liquids fast and holds about 1 1/2 cups at my guess, then with my cheap sponge that I keep in a zip lock bag just for this purpose, I spray it down good on one side and try to wear a rubber glove to keep oil off hands, I scrub the rubber seals with Sponge part with Synthetic oil made for Rubber and many other things, my yellow Sponge is black on 1 side with oil on it, I use the blue paper towels shop towel and wipe off any extra so none gets on your clothes at all and don't scrub oil out, just a quick wipe of paper towel, yesterday, my truck wasn't done yet and tree service must of been called to tree on wires on pole and my SUV parked under it across the street, just 30 feet, I went to open my door and it was done last year but we had 2 inches of rain for 2 days and weather went from 56 degrees down to 10 degrees with wind chills of 1 degree outside at 8:30 a.m. my handle almost broke, I stopped and then used a quarter in pocket and put at just below trim so if chipped paint, not as noticeable, I pryed with quarter just a tiny bit and kept a steady pull on handle so it wouldn't break off in hand, I've seen people just pull even harder and fast, then handle is in hand before I can say don't do that. Do all Seals that's used and if can wait until SUN hitting vehicle after being that cold or having automatic start, then start vehicle up to help it, still use oil that's made for RUBBER or can cause damage to them, Dealerships sell it in tubes for car's with Sunroofs and T-Tops, this oil I wouldn't use on windows at all, if those seals are starting to dry up, then buy Dealership stuff made for those window treatments. Oil will spear windows as it goes up and down. Not good for that. I'm sure if he made a video that I can't hear it and it's WD-40 then it wouldn't surprise me that it's good for rubber, WD STANDS FOR WATER DISPLACEMENT, NASA Made it by accident for another product and it was there 40th time trying to make it what they were trying to make and someone decided to market this oil for all around use. If vehicle has distributor cap and driving in rain and hitting some big puddles and vehicle stalls and not starting up, spray WD-40 Around the Distributor Cap and it should start right up like magic, might not run perfectly but will get it running again and that's a sign that you can have a hairline crack in the Distributor cap and need a tune-up. I'm no professional at all but learned enough from making mistakes and watching others do this to my vehicle as a friend that knew more than me. Enough to leave an impression on me that I never forgot it, years later Google came out and finally figured out how the name was started. I use BLASTER SILICONE LUBRICANT. it states it works on glass but again I wouldn't but that's me. Spend enough time cleaning stuff that I'll use right stuff if needed. I need to buy some for my sunroof as its dried out and want revive it right so no leaks, will buy Dealership stuff when cold goes away and try then. Best Regards to all. Again if live in cold area, save money and buy what's best for you as long it's good on rubber. I learned of this product from PB BLAST to get rusted nuts off and then they came out with this stuff. Still have WD-40 in garage.
Unfortunately the gummi pflege did NOT keep my doors from freezing. Highly disappointed. I did just like all these folks on UA-cam did, but sadly to say no work for me. Good thing I did not spend that much money on it.
Sorry that you had that experience. That's very strange as I and others have been using it for years and it does great. I just applied it again last month. Were the seals wet when you applied it or anything like that?

@bruce wayne How long have you been using it? My concern is there might be something in there that degrades the seal, like I mentioned ha s been _alleged_ with WD-40. I believe that de-icer has some alcohol in it (haven't used it in years) but if so, it might dry the seal out and cause it to crack early. As I mention it the 2:00 mark, I always say that wherever possible, use the specific tool for a specific job. In this case, a container of the right stuff is much cheaper than a new door seal. 😎
@@InJasonsGarage oh yes i agree, ive been using it for some years but not all the time,depending on where you are and how cold it gets! its useful if you go to unlock your door and the seal is frozen together just to get you into the vehicle, then you cold use a silicone spray to treat the seal and keep it in good order but i guess it depends on the condition of the vehicle and how much you care about it .
