I’m Irish & Catholic & I love theses parades. Plus i for one don’t want anything to do with a United Ireland. Anyone who does really doesn’t understand what there asking for. No free healthcare, paying for water, higher tax, etc etc, Northern Ireland is better off being part of the union. Anyone with a brain cell could see it. Is it any wonder the people from the Republic of Ireland come across the border to buy Groceries, fuel etc etc. The cost of living in the republic is a joke. If these bands were marching around Catholic housing estates then that would be a different issue. But there not, as they stick to main roads ie the Queens highway. The orange lodge marchers are unionists (descendants of English & Scottish immigrants to Ireland who want to be governed by England) They resent the natives & those British immigrants who want to end the colonial legacy and enable Ireland to be an independent nation because they are afraid that they will be disenfranchised without the protection of the English government. They are generally viewed in England, Ireland, and overseas as somewhere between ignorant & hateful, like remnants of South Africa's apartheid advocates. The history is quite complex, and over almost a thousand years of warfare a lot of baggage and hostility has accrued, but that's the context.
