What a GREAT idea! Field of Dreams is my all-time favorite movie, and the sight of those guys coming onto the field through the corn gave me goosebumps! Hats off to whoever thought of that!
Thought this was dumb at first but when you see the players walk out of the corn field and the old-school wooden scoreboard you just gotta' love it. And what a game!!
That opening was actually pretty awesome. MLB keeps looking for ways to “improve” the game. IMO more stadiums like this would be awesome. More games around America in small towns. Not everyone can get to a city to see a game. I go to my local Blue claws games here in NJ. A cool little stadium in Lakewood NJ. Just right down the road. And the games are always a blast and such a community feel to them. Love this game
I agree! How cool would it be to see MLB taking over a farming community in the Midwest as they play a game on a town team field! They did this now in Dyersville and have done it for the LLWS...begin a tradition!
The one thing I would include even tho it’s probably really “corny” is when a team has to make a substitution or a pitching change, the player being taken out has to leave the field by walking back into the cornfield.
That has nothing to do with the downfall of the game. The reason why ratings are in the toilet is the "home run or strikeout" mentality of batters. NEITHER of those creates any lasting excitement for fans. Strikeouts are 100% boring, and home runs create excitement for a few seconds and then suddenly, the bases are empty and it is back to striking out again.
Getting tickets for this was next to impossible. And those who did, a lot resold them for ridiculous amounts, which takes the shine of it a bit. The whole thing was fantastic though. How MLB presented it, the field, Costner, and of course an incredible game. Watching it on TV was an honour.
@@KnickKnack07 I think that’s why they banned the sticky stuff. Just all those strike outs and no hitters. I agree bud. The huge strike out rates are frustrating to watch

As a Yankee fan I didn't like the final result so it took me a couple of days to watch this video but this was a HUGE SUCCESS for Major League Baseball. It got very high ratings and the game really was a classic. I hear they will do it next year too.
They should and MLB should make it mandatory for every team that gets a chance to play in this field to wear old uniforms of that time period like the Sox and Yankees did.
MLB need to do this at least biannually.. Like how NHL has Winter Classic, Stadium Series, and Heritage Classic.. MLB need to have the special game like this too
Good God, thats a gorgeous field!!! Everything was perfect!!! No doubt they'll host another Field of Dreams game. But the first one will be by far memorable. The players are no doubt having a lot of nostalgia and fun.
Lance Lynn really looked like a pitcher from that time period the way his body is built with that Chicago White Sox 1919 uniforms. Pretty cool to see. I DVR the game and hoping to watch it this weekend.

@@bumpadump-5490 wheres the ”world” part in it? Its just USA and Canada
@@default902cause people come from all over the world to play MLB, and people all over the world could watch it
I got chills when the players walked out of the cornfield.
@LEE KINGS NATCH ur cringe for thinking its cringe
Yeah. Me too!
Yep it was awesome. Chills and eyes all misty. Perfect!!
Me too! Then I cried...one of my all-time favorite movies!!! Kevin Costner is my "bestest" actor! How about Yellowstone!?!?
ua-cam.com/video/wI8XOHSSwFc/v-deo.html🙏
What a GREAT idea! Field of Dreams is my all-time favorite movie, and the sight of those guys coming onto the field through the corn gave me goosebumps! Hats off to whoever thought of that!
Thought this was dumb at first but when you see the players walk out of the corn field and the old-school wooden scoreboard you just gotta' love it. And what a game!!
U shoulda started by saying “Thought this was corny at first but…”
This was truly the most beautiful thing I've seen in baseball. Well done.
This truly was the greatest game. I just hope this becomes a yearly thing.
Me too
That opening was actually pretty awesome.
Tim Anderson...what a clutch guy!!! He is a gem. This is from a TWINS fan respecting a division rival like Chicago. What a game. You could not have scripted it any better.
Sox vs Yankees this game Will live on forever
This is one of the most memorable things I have ever seen. Incredible.
Yes it is,
I just want to also share my investment strategy with you
The best way to create a passive income is to invest in the right opportunity and allow your money work for you.
All thanks to Victoria Davis for helping me create a sustainable wealth.
Intro gave me chills!
Stadium looks like a custom ballpark I would build in MLB the show 21.
FYI, the stadium was built to replicate Comisky Park in Chicago where the Sox played from 1910 through 1990...
Chilling intro, Incredible game.
More of this MLB. Give us some Sandlot games while you're at it.
This turned out to be a great Field of Dreams baseball game, right down to the traditional scoreboard!!
ua-cam.com/video/wI8XOHSSwFc/v-deo.html
Kostner did it right! He reminded us the nostalgia of the game... The simplicity of the bond between fathers and sons... THIS IS WHAT WE ALL NEEDED. thank you for a great game
I just wish his voice wasn't so monotone.
ua-cam.com/video/wI8XOHSSwFc/v-deo.html
It's impossible to not be hyped watching a game like this. Baseball at its best
I don't think I have ever teared-up watching highlights for 2 teams that I don't care about.
Watching the players walk out of the cornfield really did look like ghost from the past appearing suddenly in the outfield. Gave me goosebumps. Whoever thought of this deserves a big raise.
As a Yankee fan I didn't like the final result so it took me a couple of days to watch this video but this was a HUGE SUCCESS for Major League Baseball. It got very high ratings and the game really was a classic. I hear they will do it next year too.
Wow. Just wow. What a game. What a field. Just a spectacular event all around. Even cooler than the outdoor NHL games.
Helps having the movie to draw from, the only way the NHL could do this is if they get some bums from Alaska to play 🤣
ua-cam.com/video/wI8XOHSSwFc/v-deo.html
I watched this live and when Tim Anderson hit that dinger to end the game, holy I was going crazy!
it was a ball right down the middle and zack britton was pitching.its hard not to expect that but yea it was good
ua-cam.com/video/wI8XOHSSwFc/v-deo.html
This was not only great for the game of baseball but great for sports in general. What an experience.
This was such a absolutely brilliant idea.
Now I’ve gotta watch the movie all over again.
Same here
What a cool change of scenery! MLB should definitely do more of this.
They should and MLB should make it mandatory for every team that gets a chance to play in this field to wear old uniforms of that time period like the Sox and Yankees did.
MLB need to do this at least biannually..
Like how NHL has Winter Classic, Stadium Series, and Heritage Classic.. MLB need to have the special game like this too
pretty innovative and cool!
Agree
@@derkaiserzen “The Cornfield Series”
One of the best games I have ever seen in my life.
Incredible game. One of the best ninth innings I have ever seen.
Greatest 9th inning I have ever witnessed
Game of the year. This was just amazing!
This is the magic baseball needs. Epic moment Thank you MLB for making this happen.
Good God, thats a gorgeous field!!! Everything was perfect!!! No doubt they'll host another Field of Dreams game. But the first one will be by far memorable. The players are no doubt having a lot of nostalgia and fun.
As a Met Fan , this was one of the greatest games I’ve seen this season. They need to have more games in this field 🌽 🌽
That was the best game I have ever seen.
Lance Lynn really looked like a pitcher from that time period the way his body is built with that Chicago White Sox 1919 uniforms. Pretty cool to see. I DVR the game and hoping to watch it this weekend.
I was thinking the same thing 😂
ua-cam.com/video/wI8XOHSSwFc/v-deo.html
Made me tear up, baseball is just a beautiful sport.
As a Yankee fan here, this as one of the best games I’ve seen, defibrillator the best 9th inning this year. Great Comeback but a disappointing lose.
But this, I loved this game.
That was an amazing comeback by the Yankees. It's a shame either team had to lose.
ua-cam.com/video/wI8XOHSSwFc/v-deo.html😊
defibrillator?
one of the best games i’ve ever witnessed. just the magnitude of it and what it means to baseball players and fans
Still watching this is 2022 when the season is going on I want red Sox’s vs Yankees in Field of dream and I want one of these games every year
Coolest MLB game of our time.Would like to see MLB do this again!
Great game, great venue, great choice of teams, big personalities, MLB really hit a homerun with this one!
thank you also to FOX tv for televising it FREE nationwide/other countries
plus the LIGHTING COMPANY and drone for what we got to see.
there are many more BEHIND the scenes folks involved in making this a reality including:
iowa state highway patrol, county sheriff/police officers directing traffic, etc.
thank you ALL in whatever capacity you served in for the last 2 years designing and building the field making it a finished game to play on and in!
god bless you all.
betty gordon, ames, iowa proud fan
this really felt like a movie, the opposing team gets the late lead and the sox have their last chance and clutch the win
It will go down as one of the greatest considering the circumstances.
@@jaimep3432 what specific circumstances are you referring to? thx for explaining.
My favorite White Sox game I've watched over the past few years. Beautiful from start to finish!
The game started as the Field of Dreams but ended as the Natural. Bravo. 👏
The Natural and Chariots of Fire are my favorite sports movies! Field of Dreams was great too!
EPIC GAME! EPIC FIELD! Field of Dreams is one of my favorite sports movies of all-time along with The Natural and Chariots of Fire!
Oh my god I love baseball. How can you not love it, it’s poetic. Thank you for blessing us with that gem of a game.
😆⚾🔥👍
I don’t even watch baseball but this brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful!
35 years of Southside WhiteSox fan & huge movie fan, seeing my team emerge from the field brought me to tears. Something I can't explain. This is why we call baseball *"America's Favorite Pastime"*
Same, and i especially loves the uniforms. The White Sox are a historic team that predates the Yankees. We're were one of the top 3 most popular team alongside the Giants and Red Sox. This game just brought back nostalgia, pride, history, and emotions
I'm a Braves fan but I enjoyed watching this game. That movie was one of my all time favorites and seeing MLB do this was epic for baseball. Especially after the epic blunder with the All star game being moved
I hope we get to watch the Braves play here soon!
Anderson's swing is a beauty.
This is why baseball is the greatest sport in the world! What a freakin game
Tim Anderson is a great player so good and consistent.
This was special. Glad I was able to watch from 10,000 miles away.
When the players walk out from the corn field... oh my goosebumps all over my body. That's so surreal and beautiful.
This was one of the best ideas the MLB thought of, was having a baseball game at the Field of Dreams
I was an extra in the movie and my good friend Dan Kennedy was 1 of the baseball players coming out of the cornfield... just so many memories of that day just came flooding back... Thanks MLB...
