The screw does not need to be installed at all. It's only purpose is to limit the amount the throttle can travel. Without the throttle you'll be able to Rev it full blast which on that tiny engine will be fun, fast, loud and probably vibrate Alot. Let me know how it goes 🤙
Yes. This lil mini works very well for my little ones. Easy for my kids to grasp when there is no gears on the motorcycle. Its all gas, balance and brakes. Don’t get me wrong, if I had unlimited cash, I would buy a higher quality Honda mini for them however, this small investment and it being their first bike, I think was well work the small price and they love it.
I actually made another video prior to this one with my son riding and we go over that and more. He is 4'1" 50 lbs in his riding clothes. 55" isn't necessarily too big. I'm sure your little one would have a blast on it. Good luck 🤙

Just curious... Can't you just relocate the screw without removing the housing? Got one of these for my son for Christmas.

How tall/old is your kid? Mine is 55” which might be too big

Hey, max lbs on that bike is 178 lbs . You might be able to hop on as well lol
I have ridden it. Even at my weight it can get up to 30mph. It vibrates like a mother above 20mph for my weight.
And I’m 52 inches tall and 8 years old because I’m the kid
