Lyrics:
(by Shaun Morgan)
Gotta find a better way to quit the cigarettes
Gotta drink another drink until I can forget
Gotta find a way to feel like I’m myself
Whoa
With the whiskey came the things that I do regret (well this erodes my body, erodes my body, erodes my body, breaks my body down)
and I know there were things I should not have said
I believe you’ve already got them written down
Whoa
When the world around me can feel so rotten
I am sorry for making you feel so low
Never gonna lose these feelings I regret
always gonna be the same old tired shit
What would you do
What would you do
There will never be a feeling I suspect
All apologies are something heaven sent
What would you do
What would you do
I lie awake at night I’m trying not to break a sweat
Mind is racing there’s no comfort for me yet
Gotta find a way to get away from myself
Whoa
I really wish I could erase all the things I did (well this erodes my body, erodes my body, erodes my body, breaks my body down)
I really wish I had a path to the wreck against
I really wish I had a way to cleanse myself
Whoa
When the world around me can feel so rotten
I am sorry for making you feel so low
Never gonna lose these feelings I regret
always gonna be the same old tired shit
What would you do
What would you do
There will never be a feeling I suspect
All apologies are something heaven sent
What would you do
What would you do
Never gonna lose these feelings I regret
always gonna be the same old tired shit
What would you do
What would you do
There will never be a feeling I suspect
All apologies are something heaven sent
What would you do
What would you do
What would you do
What would you do
What would you do
What would you do

Still a band I can hit play and listen to every song on every album, they just don't disappoint me!!!
Totally agreed , only Seether can do this!
Same here, I ❤️ them
😈
Come on every song
They're even better in concert
I can't believe they didn't release this song on the album, it's one of the best sad songs they've had.. this really hit me hard.
For me is .broken
🚬 = 🚭" you can quit " 😎
@@timshanemelton I don't smoke cigarettes:[ that's actually the 1 part I don't relate to lol.
The lyrics that makes the hardest times easier..
I've been a seether fan since I was little, and I absolutely love this song
immediately within the first 10 seconds i could tell this would be a banger, but what else do you expect from Seether. love you guys.
Me toooo
SAME HERE I just heard the intro and I liked the liked button, there's no way
you read my mind!
Same!! Saw them live back in 2017, they were so fucking badass!!! Best concert of my entire life, it was such an escape. Like Shawn was reaching out to all of us saying, it’s going to be okay.
This is good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎧🎸🎶
Loved this band back when they were called Saron Gas and they have only improved each year. Shaun is a talented relatable man.
They have been Seether since 2001. They were only known as Saron Gas in South Africa
@@XxSEETH3RxX Yeah I know and they released an album before they were called seether I believe it was titled fragile or something. Had a few songs that would be ported to disclaimer and a few that didn't make the cut
@@XxSEETH3RxX they were known as Saron Gas since 1999 till 2002, they changed name when they moved to the United States to avoid confusion with the deadly chemical known as sarin gas.
He is rather awesome - and I must listen to Saron Gas - also I hot into the band Veruca Salt who had a song called Seether which is where they got their name from.: ))
Leaps and bounds. Hell, even rerecording Disclaimer from Saron Gas to Seether was a big change. They actually got a good producer
*Seether in 2021... The nostalgia tho.*
20 years of career in 2021 :)
@@Maedrya They've actually been around since 1999 when they were called Saron Gas. They changed their name to Seether in 2002, the same year they released their first album, Disclaimer.
This is great music. Glad to hear it feels like 2002
Try thinking of them as Saron Gas in 2021. Cliffy's PMB. That's nostalgia
They have their own sound, noone else can even touch em
This song should have been on Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum... and it should be a freaking single. The lyrics hit so close to home for everyone out there fighting for all the reasons to survive. This song definitely pulled at my heart strings. Very heavy. Very emotional. Absolutely amazing!!! Love you guys!!! You guys are the true definition of what music is supposed to be about.
Totally Agree! 👍
Morgan said the album could have had 16 songs but they chose this route instead. They did the right thing. It's better than whacking extra songs on an album although I must say it worked out really well on disclaimer 2
Feast of famine should have been there too!
Gotta find a better way to quit cigarettes...
Hits home
Anyone who smokes is stupid anyway
I love how this track sounds like early 2000s

Wrong song
@@adamspitfire It is the right song.
@@kiedis13f oh shit sorry
" 'Cause If I Stand Up, I'll Break My Bones, Everybody Wants To See A Fall Unfold." Reminded me of that one. Which is not a bad thing.
That opening riff that keeps circling back. Pure gold.
The lyrics from "Words as Weapons" speak through me the line when he says "Take what you want and feed me to the wolves" that hit me. Bad ex experience.
@@derekedge2089 The opening of See You At The Bottom as you load up a new album and hit start on track 1 was so hype. It goes in heavy and I love that.
I am always impressed by the great material Seether always brings. This depth and strength in the lyrics are overwhelming. Whenever I hear Seether I dive into another world.
I fuck with this comment foreal 🤙🏼
I've seen them live a few times... They jam thru. A friend of mine purposed to his wife at their show. Dunno how he slipped backstage but they helped him set the stage.
As always impressed one of the best bands around for over a decade
Do you know Hugh?
HUGH DAMN RIGHT!
@@clarkgriswald7030 Yes I Do 😄 🤣 😂
I can't believe that the band that survived the golden era (2002-2007), continues to create rock music that can be listened to in the 2020's
First time I listened to seether was around the age of 11, 12... I'm 25 now and still listen to them every single day. Greatest band of all time in my opinion🤘🏼
Same story for me, they defiantly fill a void that no other band can fill for me.
My only criticism of seether is that I like their songs and wish each song was longer, and had one more chorus.
Same for me first song I heard was saron gas and I was like woah this band is something else.
Welcome! Go find their album when they were known as Saron Gas (it’s on UA-cam; just spell it like that though). Fantastic album. Unbelievably raw emotional roller coaster. It’s a less-finessed version of some of their best known Seether songs. These guys were letting it all out on the line before they broke through as Seether.
This is good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎧🎸🎶
This instantly became one of my all time favorite seether songs. Thank you for leading me out of my own demise and continuing to help me through the darkness. To anyone reading this, stay true to yourself and stay strong you'll get through it stronger!!
🍀🍀🍀
This song actually sounds like some from Disclaimer great job
Immediately what I thought !!
Yea thought the same thing as well
The guitar at the start reminds me a lil of stained also they did great as always
It is insane, ain't it? So rare for a band to come back THIS hard to their old and loved style. I am completely in love with the song.
Definitely
Shaun is an amazing man. Coming through drug addiction, alcohol addiction, a break up with Amy lee, this man is a strong human. His voice is just incredible and I’ve loved them for over 12 years !
Drug addiction and alcohol addiction is hard to overcome I have respect for anybody that does it. I was a heroin addict and alcoholic for years and it destroys everything around you. It's so hard to fight through the sickness and change ur life to stop using. I have 5 years clean now so songs list this I can fully relate to.
@@justinhetrick3472 awedome work. Respect from germany . You went through so much to walk on the straight line. Never forget what you have achieved!
@@LcBoy131 thank you. I work in the drug and alcohol field now as a recovery specialist. I spend everyday trying to help others get off the drugs and showing them it is possible and I'm living proof of it. So many look down on addicts like they choose to be that way, but most of the time that isnt the case. Most of the time they get hooked before they realize it and cant get away from it no matter how hard they try. And so many are afraid to seek help because of all the stigma facing it.
This is good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎧🎸🎶
The death of his brother was also something too, but everything else yeah it's amazing he survived through it & he kicks ass at guitar and vocals still
To me its has the rhyme of Staind and Nirvana. But also a very great song.
Yeah it kinda does sound a little like its been awhile lol
@@atticusstephenson2895 i know right
Good assessment 👍 I had my playlist on shuffle and immediately thought this was nirvana. Not so much staind, this is way better than anything they did imo.
@@ingrown_cactus9178 i really do appericate it, my friend.
Right!
Always incredible. This band never disappointed me. They always talk to tired souls. Tks.
Tierd souls. Damn man, that describes it perfectly.
@@kelliesmith2189 They are great
Tired, or cynical, lately? I'm not so sure yet.
Van my land af
This is good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎧🎸🎶
This is - Fine again - 2.0. Amazing. Great band and a great song
Your comment brought a smile to my face😊
The "what would you do" part is legendary
I felt that shit. Seether, one of the realest bands. It feels like this guy picks apart my brain and searches for my thoughts to write music. Thank you bro.
Definitely in the top ten bands to come out of South Africa
I never knew they came from Africa always figured Australia cool.
Intro "It's Been Awhile" Vibe......Love Seether!!!
I thought the exact same thing!
this song is really hitting me in the soul right now.
seether has a way of puting you right where you need to be,when you need to be there
Это просто восхитительный EP. Завораживает ♥️
Согласен, понравилось. Вообще одна из любимых групп:)
I regret not living more spontaneous moments. The fear of leave my family when I was young, and adventures in another place. But far away I don't regrets my two beautiful son/daughter ❤ 💕 ♥ 💖
Blessings🥰 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I hit "Like" before "Play". well done Seether as always! 🤩
did the same, just knew it would be great
Love this song. The words mean a lot to me. It’s at a time where I can really understand the words so much. It’s beautiful. Thank you for your music! Your the best💕
If all other bands just faded away overnight, I'd be set with just Seether. Can't think of any other bands I can say that about.
This is Shaun's most powerful song lyrically to date. Takes a real man to expose his regrets, especially to the world. My respect for him has gone through root. Hes a good dude that has been through shit and made mistakes like we all have. I can totally relate to this song. I wonder it he really knows how much his music has helped people? Seether is not only the best kick ass band of their generation, but they're also therapy.
Now make this a single!!!!
A band that's been that one hand I can grab in the darkness...thanks a million fold
Seether, set's back and reflects on past. ✍ song and hits nail on the head. 55 and crying 😢
I DO LOVE THIS BAND. I am South african and feel so proud. no one talks of Seether but i have been following since saron gas days and they are just amazing. GO BOYS.
This song, and The Gift are probably the most soul clenching songs they've ever written, I can never stop listening to this one.
Shaun never fails to write relatable music, and he knows what's it's like to be lost, and hurting.
Thank YOU, Seether!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Goodness
Rock is back
Watta lovely early 2000 sound
I've loved Seether since my emo days in highschool, and they just keep releasing music that makes life bearable 🖤💜💚
Seether NEVER disappoints. Thank you for everything you do. You got a lot us through those dark times brought us serenity.
Everyone has a band they love and can't get enough of. A band you always see live when you can, when they come to town. Seether is mine. I love those guys!! 💖
Agree!!
Same! Just saw these guys live a few hours before commenting this and they put on a hell of a show!!! They never disappoint us
Yesss
Talk about consistency. This band hasn't lost their sound since day one!!
Grunge isn't dead!
Una de mis cosas favoritas es salir a caminar y escuchar Seether mientras voy pensando en la vida, recordando cosas, trayendo ideas a mí mente para el futuro, sentir su música me da mil años de vida. Gracias porque me han ayudado infinitas veces... ❤️🤘🏼
👍

@Troy Red Eyes B
The beginning of this song gave me stained- it's been awhile vibes
The world without Seether would be empty... thanks you guys for your music, it follows me since so much years...it helps me to get up and continue to live
I am hoping that they play this song at their shows. This is one that would sound great live. As always Shaun doesn't disappoint.
FOREVER MY FAVOURITE BAND
This is good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎧🎸🎶
This song gives me sort of a Finding beauty in negatives spaces vibe. Seether's signature sound! Love it
This is one of my favorite song from the purgatory album.
This song hits home in every way. The lyrics couldn't be any more real. I was bawling by the end. Just amazing.
The best song on the EP, no more, no less. Just the best lyrics and the best melody
This song is AMAZING! It has so much feeling.
one of the most touching songs seether has ever released. this song can reach deep within your soul and pull out the deepest parts of yourself that you never wanted to see again...and help you work through the shit.
only seether can make a song like that.
Shaun Morgan, one of the best singers of all time.
I have been a huge fan for so long.
So have I. Seether never disappoints! 💙
Seether, or the band which can bring me to tears each and everytime I listen to them... This song is gorgeous and so powerful... And this lyrics...
Thank You Shaun, thank you Seether for everything !
It's fantastic!!! Listened 3 times already. Rock on.
I love this man
Yall never disappoint love yalls music to death.
Not sure why every album these dudes get less views. One of the few bands who have been rocking at a consistent level for damn near 20 years!
🔥🔥🔥
The more I listen to Seether the more addicted I get! Am I the only one?
Shaun and Gavin both of them are amazing. I would love to hear their duos again!
This is good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎧🎸🎶
I've seen Seether live several times. They never disappoint.
Saw them open for Nickel Back and they blew nb away.
Both bands on stage together covering Nice Shot Man was great.
The hate for NB always seems unfounded. If Shaun likes those guys enough to go on stage with them? Good enough for me.
This chord progression is something outta this world
Eh? This is E minor. Quite popular progression :D Althought the song itself is very good/
True to Seether form… music from the heart, and not from a producer.
Simplesmente insano de perfeito!! Música que deve ter uma energia incrível ao vivo
The album's name speaks to me and this song relates to me in many ways I cannot explain
One remedy song for these dark days.....thank you Seether!
Finally the real seether stood up!
👏🏻 💯
"i believe you already have it written down"💜
Why isn't this song on the album? And why isn't this a single?! 🤯
I’m so happy they’re still here. I literally thought hip hop is taking over and rock is slowly going down the drain. I’m glad bands like them are still sticking around. Breaking Benjamin, Korn, and them. They been around for years , and they’re still going on. I love the way they express their life and their feelings and their struggles and put in music. It’s sad of course, but at least they’re letting it out instead of taking it to another level. If you know what I mean. Music like this is like I’m not alone. And I can understand people.
This song just seeps into my bones....love it
seether has matured so much as a band,i think they just get better with time, killer tune right here
MORE! MORE SEETHER....
I'm getting a cross of disclaimer and karma in effect with this song, I really enjoyed it
I usually keep my music to myself but man I'm gonna get my whole friend group into this song including my crush 🤘🏼
your a brave soldier, i applaud
Lets go SEETHER 🤘🤘🤘🤘
It's glad To see that Seether didn't change their music style 👍 , It's feels too good ❤️😍

a top 5 seether song for me
Saw them in concert back in July and they sound amazing live. I want to see them over and over. They are my favorite band ever.
I’m addicted to this song…
One of my favorite song for the purgatory album...
I love it. They refuse to cave to modern music trends and sound just as good as nearly 20 years ago
Can’t wait, Tuesday night LIVE!!
That mid 2000's sound still shines bright, dudes!!!!! Love it. Saw these guys with A7X and BFMV on the Uproar fest in Grand Rapids over 10 years ago. Never a bad tune.
Love you seether
Old School South African Vibes, Welcome back Saron Gas!
Staind and nirvana vibes 😃 Seether never dissapoints
This is a great song.

Seether is one of my favorite ten bands of all the time....
And always will be 🖤

The first 5 seconds sound like heartshaped box from nirvana, love this song, seether never disappoint...
