Lynda Bellingham played the central character in the long-running "Oxo Family" series of TV commercials, starting in 1983, playing a mother who binds her family together by cooking them meals featuring Oxo products. The advertisements typically featured the family sitting down to a meal at which Oxo gravy would be served. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, the family was seen to grow older. When the campaign was retired in 1999, the family moved out of the house.
Linda Bellingham was also the lead role in the stage version of the Calendar Girls. - Розваги
What a shame Lynda’s personal life wasn’t as successful as her acting career. She seemed such a happy person and didn’t deserve to be treated so badly.
Fond memories of Lynda in the OXO ad's when I was a young'un. RIP.
I handmade those Oxo cubes.
What a wonderful woman and a great actress, great memories .
I’ve watched tv very little over the past 20 yrs, but I always remember Linda in the OXO ads. Just thinking about them makes me smile - & how we saw those kids grow-up over the years.
@@minkgin3370I handmade those Oxo cubes.
Lovely tribute to Lynda. Can't believe it has been 10 years. She didn't deserve her first 2 husbands. Also feel for her sons xx
Didn’t deserve her third either, he only wanted her for fame. He swindled her sons out of the money due to them
Meet her Christmas eve about ten years ago , she was lovely and so warm and approachable, such a shame how her last husband robbed her sons, RIP Lynda x
Did she not leave a will ?
A lovely lady, she deserved better in her relationships.
I remember her saying she wanted her boys to be looked after....l think she expected 'Mr Spain' to do the right thing...she trusted him...how sad she mis-judged him and he turned out to be a greasy oik....wen l saw him being interviewed on tv he gave off a bad vibe...RIP..Lovely Lynda ....❤
I agree I think he was a wrongen stood bye her only because he knew she has money and hook around pretending to care. That grave looks neglected imo
Rest in peace. A beautiful Lady
I loved Lynda best in All Creatures Great and Small. This programme was so comforting as a child growing up and she played the perfect part. RIP Lynda you beautiful soul 😊
I also loved her in that ❤❤😢 so sad rip Lynda
The grave next to lyndas is his mum and dad by the looks of it and it looks like his dad died 4 yrs before lynda and his mum died going on 2 yrs after lynda had died.he should have given her 2 sons all the money they were entitled to it was awful what he did,the headstone is lovely its like on stage with the curtain open.R.I.P. lynda.🙏
I agree that was her boys' money r.i.p. Linda 🙂
Beautifully covered. ❤Such an honor to Lynda.
Mmm not that great he got pattimores name wrong,!!!
I had a girlfriend who used to look after her kids when she was up in North Yorkshire filming All Creatures and she always talked lovingly about her.
I'm glad I came across your kind tribute to Linda.
Its sad her grave looks a little lonely.
Its a pity her husband wasn't so appreciative of her benevolence towards him, that he cant find the time to visit, tidy or give her lonely place a regular supply of lovely fresh flowers.
Thanks Alan,a lovely tribute to a wonderful and gracious lady, Rest in peace Lynda 🙏🌹❤️
That's very thoughtful of you Graham

A beautiful tribute to a wonderful Lady. Thank you.
I met Linda, when she was filming on the Isle of Wight. She was a wonderful woman. Thank you muchly for sharing Alan. 👏
Thanks for sharing that Kev. All the best, mate
Great video. Poor Lynda No husband should be taking their wives money at the end. Should go straight to the children. He was wrong for that.
Horrible nasty man
?
Totally agree 100%
Loved Linda. I feel sad when graves don't look visited very often.
Loved her as Helen Herriot and as the Oxo mum. She was a very pretty girl as well. Nicely and respectfully done. Thank you. 🌺👍😃
Glad you enjoyed it
Girl ? !! Definitely a woman surely!
Lovely tribute to Lynda Alan. What a wonderful lady she was and such a very brave one at the end. You've done her proud Alan...thank you.
Thank you Louise I was doing my best she was a favourite of mine :-)
I remember growing up watching her on TV in All Creatures Great and Small and the OXO adverts and think then as young lad, what a lovely warm person she appeared to be.
She was what she appeared to be thank you
😅For me Lynda will always be the beautiful OXO lady . R.I P. beautiful lady . 🇬🇧
I always loved to see Lynda on LW. She was lovely and came across as very sincere and genuine. ❤
Headstone looks like it’s going fall its shame she died lovely lady husband was greedy man feel so sorry for her sons
Just as a bit of a side note, my father is resting in that grave yard and I saw his stone twice in your great vid. Once shortly after you left your van as he is close to the side of the chapel of rest and then again when you filmed through Lynda's seat. RIP Dad xx
Hi Hank I didn't know that and I'm so pleased that you saw the grave as I passed. My very best respects to you and your father. Much love, Alan
Thanx Alan for your wonderful respectful tribute and video. It's so sad she was treated so terribly in 2 of her previous relationships. I grew up watching her as the OXO mum, and the memories of that, always makes me smile. ❤You are a star, Alan, always love your videos. 👍🏻
Hi Sara Isn't it ridiculous and ironic that he had such bad relationships when she was such a lovely person. Much Love to you Alan
Lovely lady.
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep Yep, it is ridiculous, and ironic. She always came across as a warm hearted, lovely person. I really appreciate you replying to me, I'm sure you're very busy, and have a lot fans, so thank you for taking the time. :)
I grew up with her as the OXO mum and use to love the sitcom Faith in the future in the 90s too. Remember when Lorraine Kelly was talking about her death and all the fire alarms went off live on TV.. as if she was saying goodbye. Or just a coincidence? She was a lovely lady!!
It might have been Lynda !
Lovely Linda ..I loved her in General hospital and as our Lovely OXO lady ..A brave kind soul 🙏 🌹🌿🌹🌿
Much lovely Michelle she was special
Lynda Bellingham. Charismatic, authentic, & intelligent! She was 'always' engaging in conversation, was an actress of considerable repute, and deserved 'so much better' in terms of her personal life! RIP Lynda! As ever 'great content' from you Alan!😊
Thank you Adrian you're a star
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep That's very kind Alan, and 'likewise'!!
A really likeable woman. I loved to see her on tv it’s so tragic she’s not here anymore. God bless her.
That was lovely,i would watch anything with Linda in,she was a lovely funny Lady.Yes gone but not forgotten.Thank you for this tribute.RIP pet.
She was lovely!
Bit fishy that she changed her will at the last moment? Sometimes odd there? Her poor sons!❤
Thankyou for your lovely tribute to lynda, she was a lovely lady and a great actress, as you said she was very brave towards the end, please do read her book, I did and thought it was really good, Rest in Peace lynda we miss you. ❤️🙏🙏
Hi User I definitely will. I've got the book. Thank you my friend
Never even knew she wasn’t here anymore
Where have I been ?
I feel sad xx
I think Mr Spain was a con man. He abided his time. Linda should have made sure her sons were priority (will wise). A very sad lesson for us all. Shame on Mr Spain.
He certainly was
I'm not agreeing or disagreeing as I DONT KNOW but I WILL ASK where you got your Information from? Is it JUST a feeling or do you ACTUALLY KNOW?
It's a shame she at least didn't split the Will 3 ways butcwe DONT know what was going on behind closed doors & we DON'T KNOW the FULL story.
@@DavidJHarrisonEssex. You’re right and this is what I was just thinking….
The Will ought to have been split 3 ways.
Apart from money, there would also have been the Family Home. The boys should also have had a third of that each. Sad!
You've also got to remember that I'm a gravestone she put the words 10 years was not enough so that shows you how she felt
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep his words not hers and I know what I’m talking about because I’m related to Pattemore thankfully only by marriage !
Bless you Alan for taking us with you on your visit to Linda's resting place and also for your commentary on her life. What a truly lovely man you are, so respectful and caring x
Hi Melliehay It's wonderful to connect with people like yourself thank you keep in touch Alan
@melliehay982 Yes, I was just thinking the same...and you worded it so well 😏
I loved her she was true to herself and liked to make jokes. Beautiful inside and out. Didn't realise it's been so long. What a lovely headstone and church grounds. Feel sad for her boy's. Love from Holmfirth west Yorkshire 💜 🫰
.Hi Gill
If you wanted my honest possible observation she was a successful woman and pretty and I think she attracted the wrong types. And when you're not the wrong type you don't see it. Like you, I was attracted to a character. Thank you I do appreciate you Much love Alan i see you hope one day.
Loved Linda so much a Beautiful soul inside and out hope that Mr. Spain gets
his just desserts one day. ❤ LoL
I have fond memories of Lynda Bellingham in faith in the future, great funny series ,it’s a shame some people just take advantage of niceness, thanks for the laughs Lynda RIP
Aww i loved lynda ....what a lovely lady she was. I loved the bisto adverts....saw me all through my childhood. ❤
Thanks Alan for a lovely tribute to a wonderful lady.
Thank you Tangm

That made me cry Alan. What a lovely tribute ❤️ You really do make such warm videos with so much respect x
I grew up with Linda watching one of the most amazing families on TV! It was like I was watching family, but with a lovely happy life I never had. Watched them ads like it was a soap opera! RIP Lynda x
Hi Amaan It's a good job you didn't see the first take I did because as I was leaving I did shed a tear, it just seemed too unfair. My computer crashed and I had to do it all again :-) thank you for the interment I hope we meet again Alan.
Yes, a truly beautiful woman..must admit 2a bit of a teenge crush on her😢😮
Lovely video. Pity his name is on that headstone after how he behaved when she died. Her boys are lovely and were treated appallingly by Pattenmore 😤
Thank you GT
What a most perfect tribute to our Lynda Thank you Alan
Hi Foxy all the best mate
Thank you, Alan, for your lovely tribute to this wonderful lady. I also remember her fondly in her role as Helen and as the Oxo mum. Came across as such a warm personality on screen but often hiding a difficult personal life.
I watched there quite a lot on loose women and she was my favorite one. She always seemed to have a very level head and she also made great friends in real life. Such a contrast to a relationships apart from the last husband who she seems very happy with. I personally miss her I like her personality. Thank you for the great comments you're giving me. You are wonderful.
Hi Alan ..I am back from my Holiday ..Loved Lynda Bellingham ...So sad she married horrible men ... Lovely Tribute Alan

A lovely and talented actress! I loved her in Second Thoughts and Faith in the Future, and she was brilliant as Irene Radford in The Bill. R.I.P.X
She really was a lovely lady, so sad. Her book is very good, have only just read it myself, she was so positive. I agree with what you said about her husband getting on with life but he did turn out to be a bit of a rotter! I hope her boys are doing well. Beautiful resting place, thanks for showing us
HI Jean Like I said in the film I did see a few years later that the two boys were in a reality program about the hotel and the oldest one look very happy best Alan
She was just pure class in every way a person can be. God bless you Lynda. ❤️
A wonderful woman
Nice one Alan, she has always been one of my favourites and she did a lot for carers rights, what you see is what you got. Very sad about her personnel life she didnt deserve that.
I did not know that James very interesting thank you for the great comment.

Wow Alan hard to believe it is 10yrs this year, she was a lovely lady, thanks again for another great video 💖💖
I know exactly what you mean Tricia time seems the speed up so we better enjoy every moment you and me :-)
What a narcissist her last husband was
I did not want to say.
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep
Why not?
@@MotorHomeBeepBeep
Mr Pattemore surely must have understood her deep love for her kids being the sweet and kind lady that she was.
Very unkind to just completely disregard her final wishes to look after them.
Just goes to show, we should all make our last wishes known in a legal format by making a will. Unless it is on paper, sadly the spoken word carries no weight under the eyes of our legal system.
I do hope the guy has finally taken up his responsibilities to recognise the duty he had to honour her words and look after them financially.
You are making judgements about nothing you know nothing about
How did you know ...did you read that somewhere
Another one off my list Alan, I am going off you. A brilliant video as usual about the life of a wonderful lady. Well done buddy.
Do you think you could do me a favour Darren and send me over your list then I'll try not to miss any :-) cheers my friend see you soon.
She actually gave up chemotherapy in September 2014 but didnt make it to Christmas - she died 2 months later on 19 October 2014. Which is sad she didn't get her last Christmas. I enjoyed watching her - she made you feel you'd get on with her if you knew her. Thanks for this.
Your a gentleman bringing us tributes like 👍 this thank you for the time and effort you put in sir.
I worked in a bank in North London in the eighties and Lynda came in a few times. She was one of the most natural lovely people I have ever met.

Hi Alan, what you said at the end is so true. I am back in the UK from Australia as my darling mum passed suddenly. I was actually in your home patch Whitby on Wednesday with my family as she loved going there. My granny met all the creatures great and Small tv personalities as they filmed regularly in Wensley ( mum grew up there)and she knew the real Mr Herriot he gave her a cairn terrier he had rescued from a greyhound yard. It's in one of his books. So this was really lovely to watch. Thanks ❤
Hi Tracy I am very sorry to hear about your mum she sounded lovely. A lot of fascinating little story I wonder if he actually mentioned their name in his book come out I read them all when they came out many years ago. It's a timeless story as we know it's come back again recently with different actors. I hope you're enjoying the UK I wasn't in weight there I was down south. Glad you enjoyed the film really best to you Alan
Just love your work. This was the first one that I saw and it was shortly after a friend had taken me round the cemetery to show me her mothers grave. I only moved to Crewkerne recently. We did spot Lynda’s grave then.
I love your work and how clearly you explain things and also include pictures and clips.
I’m watching lots of old ones now. TgNk so much. Keep it up.
Thank you for a great video
