A well made and handy tool. In case you haven't picked up the tip about cutting threaded rod or bolts - if you put a nut onto the thread BEFORE cutting to length, after cleaning up the cut end, removing the nut removes any imperfections and really forms the thread nicely, making it easy to get nuts back on.
Great tip! thanks, I had heard that before but didn't think of it at the time
Merry Christmas. See you next year. Thanks for all that you do for your viewers.
Thank you and Happy Christmas!
I like the way you upcycle and use what you have.. That's the way I practically build every thing I can.. It saves lots of time and money as you know!
I found out that I need one. I'll try to make one next week. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job Keith, there's something satisfying about making and using your own tools, wooden square next maybe.......
Nice little project for the workshop
thanks
Look forward to seeing what you make with it.
thanks Matt
I find it very nice to make your own tools and above all to be accurate. Nice job . I wish you Merry Christmas health and happiness !!!

Nice project, you need some 4 1/2 slitting discs for your angle grinder.
Thanks! I do!

Thanks you too!
Lovely job!...
Respect matey, you said “pillar drill” where on gods earth did the annoying drill press come from eh....👍👍👍👍👍
Allen Durham Drona O'Rourke America, I suspect.
.

King of Briwax. Thanks for Keith, nice and simple, very enjoyable little vid. Happy Christmas mate.
I spread it on my toast! Happy Christmas!
Rag 'n' Bone Brown wow! I'm gonna' try that! I need all the woodworking talent I can get. (Note to literalists: I'm not really, do not put Briwax on toast and eat it...)
that clean cloth looks suspiciously like an old sock lol.
Quality man

To you too Keith.
Very good mate, I have bin watching all your videos from scratch man lol,
Do u have the sizes? Please I really need one, this video seems to be better than most buddy, cheers, and well done mate .
Cheers! I think the measurements are in there - the beam is 600mm and 27mm square, not sure about the oak piece, but I just used scraps and made them work.
you should make a marking gauge
Hey Keith great build i could use one of these to thanks for showing how to make this, hay mate you myt want to check you angle grinder it looks like you have multiple cutting disks on it or you are using a grinding disc that's used for grinding not cutting that"s y its overheating u need to buy a cutting disc they are much thinner your local hardware store he should be able to help you cheers mate wants again great work ;)
Cheers Robert. I didn’t have any cutting discs so just used what I had at the time. I do now though
@@RagnBoneBrown some times we have to improvise your a legend mate
What kind of disc was on that angle grinder? it looked really thick
Pølle NamNam A grinding disk. Used for grinding metal, as opposed to a cutting disk that is used, predictably, for cutting.
I think that may of been the guard we see as its a bird's eye view. Probably a normal 3mm blade.
It was a grinding disk. Probably didn't have any thin cutting disks in.
it's a cutting disc, at least that's what it says... It is thick though - about 10mm! I just used what I had
Rag 'n' Bone Brown you can get 1-2mm cutting disks, they work great and whatever you are cutting won't get as hot. Loved the video tonight. Have a great xmas.
Great video and project, what made you choose to use threaded rod over bolts . Thanks and have a great Christmas with jasper
Thanks! I mentioned in the video I didn't have any bolts the right size but did have some M8 threaded rod. Happy Christmas!
Hi do you have a new tablesaw insert?
Yep I talk about it in my circular plywood coffee table video
How do you like that new trim router
ah well spotted haha! I am going to be talking about it in my next vlog which should be up tomorrow or Sunday
Rag 'n' Bone Brown oh thanks are you going to mention all of your makita tools then
Looks suspiciously like a sock to me!
♥️🇹🇷
