I am always amazed when I see someone scribe. Two pencils held together by a rubber band (for a quick fix) was the first time I saw this done. Great work John.

This is a purdy pair. Last winter I picked up the combination pack from Harbor Freight with inside , outside dividers , n such. While keeping warm in the evenings I'd file ,.polish these items. After they looked presentable I rust blued them. Sure they ain't Starett , but it gave me something to do while watching TV.

I didn’t look at the date but you was saying how you was burned out on woodworking.
I was wondering if you had other interests?
The reason I ask is because I saw your camera case and wondered again if you like photography?
The reason I’m asking is because I’m not Savvy at identifying trees in nature or looking at the lumber and knowing what species of wood it is. I say all of this because it would be nice if there was someone who (when doing a wood project) would be able to show the trees in nature, and what kind of environment they grow in, where they could be found geographically. Also it would be nice to learn how to identify what the species of tree the timber comes from just looking at the timber.
    Thanks for showing your work.

Nice how you teach how to not sweat the things that don't matter. Also, seems like you could as easily make that vertical cut with your screw-advanced box join jig.
