You missed an important point. Majority of those Indians getting a chance to work in US are either with really good academic or financial background. Achievement of this sample set is being compared to the entire white population ranging from those with poor economic & educational background to the best. That could be one reason why white's stats look very bad. Factors told in the video are also valid, but we cannot ignore this issue with sample set

As for Indian MBBS graduates, passing the USMLE for getting their medical license is much easier when compared to obtaining a good rank (even after all the reservations) in the NEET PG for getting admissions to post graduate medical degrees in India. And, if one doesn't get the PG admission to Government medical colleges, then private medical colleges can charge a minimum of 1 crore INR per year just as fees. When compared to that and when comparing the salary afterwards (taking into account, the PPP and all), becoming a doctor in the US is always a better alternative. Similar stories can be said about medical licenses in the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada, etc.
@@encunorth That list of toughest exams in the world doesn't prove anything as it's only based on the difficulty of the questions they ask and the number of available seats, right? Well, my point was about NEET PG. It is the MCQ based competitive exam in India that all MBBS graduates can attend to secure a seat in PG. I called it difficult as there are very limited seats for each department in the whole country. For example, for someone to get a seat in General Surgery, whether Government or private, the available choices are very less, numbers less than 1000 for the 1 lakh above MBBS graduates (numbers may differ). And that, too to get into a private MS seat, they pay 2 or 4 crores INR for some seats. Already the exam is difficult, then they have to get a very good rank, after all reservations in India, then it's damn expensive. It costs the student at least 10 crores INR total for that. And the salary they get after graduation is 1 to 2 lakhs INR per month after enough experience. Starting salary for freshers is mostly around 80k INR per month. You see, it's the high expenses, difficulty in getting a good rank and competitiveness which makes me think NEET PG is tougher. Now, NEET PG is going to be replaced by NExT which is very similar to USMLE, but the ranking system and fees of 10 crores, still exist. I am saying this as I have many friends who went through both NEET PG and USMLE, and concluded that USMLE is easier to crack. The procedures and residency programs afterwards is another topic to discuss. But, for now when comparing the competitiveness and availability of cheaper seats and fees for private management seats, I say this. Question wise difficulty, is obviously for USMLE, but with NExT that too will be the same in future, probably during the late 2020s.
The biggest fact here is the visa policy of US govt. To get a visa here for an Indian you need to be qualified in a field where there is demand. Illegal and family related immigration is very less. This ensures only those who can earn well can make it here in the first place. The others are just additional reasons, not the main one.
@@shajivarghese2102 no it doesn’t work like that. You cant just bring relatives like that esp Indians. May for few categories it might but it is very less. Most Indians are on h1b like visas and it is very hard to even get GC.

@@shajivarghese2102 your is a different case as it is a about citizens. I was referring in general, it takes lot of time otherwise. Those migrated in 70s etc is entirely different thing. That wouldn’t happen now. Families are more nuclear these days. So the case like yours is going to happen less. Anyway still their immigration system is better and they dont let in more ppl like in other countries. If you look at h1b, most are engineers who are high earners in India itself and when they switch job there, they get paid almost double. That category of folks are highly paid and nowadays most tech companies are majority Indians

In those days I felt Americans were more friendly to us and easy company joining to us and only difficult thing was the malayalies were very rare to see and more Punjab’s and Gujaratis are seeing and they were owning businesses in New York City.

You missed an important point. Majority of those Indians getting a chance to work in US are either with really good academic or financial background. Achievement of this sample set is being compared to the entire white population ranging from those with poor economic & educational background to the best. That could be one reason why white's stats look very bad. Factors told in the video are also valid, but we cannot ignore this issue with sample set

As for Indian MBBS graduates, passing the USMLE for getting their medical license is much easier when compared to obtaining a good rank (even after all the reservations) in the NEET PG for getting admissions to post graduate medical degrees in India. And, if one doesn't get the PG admission to Government medical colleges, then private medical colleges can charge a minimum of 1 crore INR per year just as fees. When compared to that and when comparing the salary afterwards (taking into account, the PPP and all), becoming a doctor in the US is always a better alternative. Similar stories can be said about medical licenses in the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada, etc.

Well, my point was about NEET PG. It is the MCQ based competitive exam in India that all MBBS graduates can attend to secure a seat in PG. I called it difficult as there are very limited seats for each department in the whole country. For example, for someone to get a seat in General Surgery, whether Government or private, the available choices are very less, numbers less than 1000 for the 1 lakh above MBBS graduates (numbers may differ). And that, too to get into a private MS seat, they pay 2 or 4 crores INR for some seats. Already the exam is difficult, then they have to get a very good rank, after all reservations in India, then it's damn expensive. It costs the student at least 10 crores INR total for that. And the salary they get after graduation is 1 to 2 lakhs INR per month after enough experience. Starting salary for freshers is mostly around 80k INR per month.
You see, it's the high expenses, difficulty in getting a good rank and competitiveness which makes me think NEET PG is tougher. Now, NEET PG is going to be replaced by NExT which is very similar to USMLE, but the ranking system and fees of 10 crores, still exist. I am saying this as I have many friends who went through both NEET PG and USMLE, and concluded that USMLE is easier to crack. The procedures and residency programs afterwards is another topic to discuss. But, for now when comparing the competitiveness and availability of cheaper seats and fees for private management seats, I say this. Question wise difficulty, is obviously for USMLE, but with NExT that too will be the same in future, probably during the late 2020s.

The biggest fact here is the visa policy of US govt. To get a visa here for an Indian you need to be qualified in a field where there is demand. Illegal and family related immigration is very less. This ensures only those who can earn well can make it here in the first place. The others are just additional reasons, not the main one.

If you look at h1b, most are engineers who are high earners in India itself and when they switch job there, they get paid almost double. That category of folks are highly paid and nowadays most tech companies are majority Indians
