That slightest Connor's grin at 6:05 after his line "poor Cole didn't make it"... Sounded like a sign of superiority to me Didn't expect that one from a machine unable to feel emotions.
The RK800 and RK900 are systematically programmed without the locks that others androids have. This is why they behave like "deviants". It's also how they can track deviants and be diplomat as cops/detectives. "Deviancy", with these models, amount to cross a whole different ledge and acquire more than just feelings. That's what I believe from my completionist experience with the game. (Every android is programmed with deviancy. As Kamsky himself said : there is a backdoor for every protocol.)
11:26 this is such a contrast to the first time he falls off a building, during the first hostage mission. Back then he looked at peace, eyes closed and LED a calm blue as he uploaded his memory. (Or should I say 'it'?) But now it's a stark red, and he looks afraid. You can even see his hand reaching out. I find that really interesting.
I like the one where Connor recalls the story of Hanks son, Cole. And then lets Hank live. And there's that moment of silence when Hank is alone on the roof. The realization that sinks in that Connor actually does have feelings, at least for Hank anyway. What benifit would it be to an android's mission to know the background of Cole? None. Connor took the time out of his investigation of deviants to learn his story because he sympathizes Hank, cares about him as a friend.
emotional manipulation is a pretty good reason. or to make sure that the investigation goes smoothly to act as if sympathizing. but I do think he cared geniuinely
I didn't know there was a way to reconcile or unlock a "Friend"path with Hank on the rooftop. I've only seen them fight in this scene! Thanks for showing us all the options!
Thank you for watching. Yes that particular path only happens if you insist on talking to Hank about his son. Otherwise the fight will always end with either Connor tossing Hank off the roof or Hank tossing Connor off the roof ( trust me, I tried to get Hank as friendly as possible to see if it was possible to do the fight, then save him and NOT have him try to push Connor off the roof at the end, but that doesn't seem to be a thing ). If you think anyone would find this video interesting please spread it around amongst your friends. :D
WolfPackPlayz Getting aggressive with Hank on the rooftop always lowers the relationship to a negative one. "Tense" at its least severe. Guess it's Quantic Dream's way of ensuring that Hank feels justified in sending Connor off that rooftop should je get the chance.

He couldnt have done it by accident. He must tracked conner using insider info. Way too much suspician.
"I should have done this the first time I met you". Eh, no, there's no curiosity or pro-revolution. If he was he wouldn't be rounding up androids for destruction like every checkpoint and militant group in the city was doing already, nor so quick to defy an android who attempted to help a little human child, regardless of whether Connor succeeded or not.
@@RopeDrink Him defying conner was before the revolution really kicked off. If you paid attention, you should know the luitenant was the same way at first but changed as he saw the andoids express themselves. You never see him rounding up andoids at checkpoints. In this case, he would have to be careful not to be caught acting suspicious by people outside of his squad, so he needs to act like hes hunting androids or something. A lot of people have broken rules and laws to secretly help the androids in several scenes. And yes there is curiousity, if you werent autistic, you could read it in his facial expressions and body language at certain moments. Also the way you typed "eh no" was disgusting. But the fight against the Swat is just much cooler and satisfying lol If you are going to be machine Connor might as well just have hank commit suicide. I don't like killing him here and I dont like Hank beating Connor cuz it just looks stupid.
Wrong, the swat LEADER won the fight against Connor, he's trained to fight humans and in that case Connor couldn't even last that long before Allen puts him on a choke position
Seeing a sour relationship between Connor and Hank hurts my heart. In my own game, I can't for the life of me choose 'machine' Connor. Connor and Hank are happy and friends in virtual world, and they're staying that way! LOL
That was a close one Connor but I’m not going to pull you up see without you I become the new fan favorite character I just wanted to look you in the eyes as I took it all back
Its surprising that a alcoholic who has problems with his son can actually put up a fight with whats known to be besides from rk900 the most tactical android amazing
The more you follow Conner's mission, the more robotic his expressions are... But the more you disobey and become deviant, the more human he acts... Detroit: Become Human is a truly amazing game.
If only there were awards for acting in video games! Bryan Dechart pulled all versions of Connor off wonderfully. I STILL can't stand any version of Hank and Connor fighting, though DX.
I dont get why people like Machine Connor. I could never bring myself to keep Connor a machine. Deviant Connor is way more likeable, and the bromance with Hank is priceless. It just seems anticlimactic if you raise your relationship with Hank and make humane decisions, only to just backtrack on that and stay a robot. I also like Connor and Markus as buddies, instead of one having to die to complete your playthrough. Also, Machine Connor is screwed no matter what. Even if you succeed, he gets replaced and deactivated anyway. Machine Connor is pretty tragic imo.
I love how they have such amazing technology, with artificial humans/androids. Yet they got plastic... what looks like an* Sako TRG-42 sniper rifle, just on demand yet can't survive a distance about the same size of my ego. Good job.
And its just the Scope that's broken. Just remove it and use the RK Series' prototype ocular units that can somehow scan blood on a microscopic level, or even find traces of an unstable powersource liquid that has evaporated. Plus there's that quote from the Tower Investigation "The Shot was s o precise, only an android could do it", hinting that an android's hand-eye coordination is always at peak efficiency. Heck, at the initial aiming, it was shown that its a windy and snowy night, so Connor has to also factor in windspeed and temperature on top of distance and the curvature of the earth. So in essence, the only thing stopping Connor from accurately shooting the Deviant Leader is a plot hole.
J. Louie Dinorog this whole scene is riddled in holes. Like why did he wait so damned long to take the shot? This guy is a supercomputer who can basically freeze time to analyze shit, there’s nothing keeping him from shooting Markus or North but bad writing.
Wow this is exactly what I would have liked to find in the game. Seeing all the variations without playing every chapter hundreds of times. Great video mate!
Technically killing Hank is deviant behavior. So you can't classify any ending where Conner purposefully kills a human "machine Conner" as doing so is in direct violation of his code. Machines are programmed to defy their own sense of self preservation to protect humans. Nothing, not even their prime directive can override those basic security protocols. And that isn't even in universe trivia, that's just AI 101. Anyone who creates an autonomous AI or machine that can kill humans on purpose, meaning it knowingly selects a human target with the designed intention to kill, is classified as a weapon. And a stupidly dangerous one that no military would dare make knowing the danger it could pose to their own people. There is absolutely no sane reason to develop autonomous weapons. There is no shortage of crew who could pilot or admin such a machine remotely. And no loss of life if the machine loses contact with it's controller and is unable to complete its mission do to missing clearance to kill as a result. This is not so much science fiction as it is just fiction. Engineers are already ahead of this problem. It would take a rouge human to make a rouge machine. And with that said, who ever creates the machine is responsible for anything it does outside the control of its operator. So both in this game, and in real life, the manufacturer would have to answer for every crime an android commits, including but not limited to that pretentious man-bun millionaire. The DPD has no business investigating a matter of national security. While I understand the PR and reasoning behind the company responsible trying to get ahead of the problem by sending their own people after the problem ahead of the feds. Reaching out to the local authorities would eventually reach the ears of the feds, which is exactly what the company doe not want. In any case despite how amazingly well written the characters are, and how interconnected it all is. The actual plot relies on several factually incorrect premises that totally undermine the whole thing way to easily. Its not a matter of suspension of disbelief. The tech required for this is covered by that. That's not a problem. Its the fact that despite how well written the characters are, the factions they are part of are not acting logically.
@TruthSeeker 1453 no, we can absolutely enjoy things and criticize it at the same time. That's how progress is made. The lore IS deep, so what's wrong with "look waaaay to deep" into it. Looking deep into a story is part of enjoying it, why do you think people make fanfic and meta essays of a tv show if not for the deep lore. Lore is fun, lore is life. Im sure David Cage would appreciate that people take such a detailed look on something that he came up with, it means we actually care about his creation :)
Well I mean if the human interferes with the prime directive then it (Connor) would in fact kill a human because it will accomplish its mission choosing the beat course of action and dying would be equivalent to failing its like a Mr Meseeks (look at me)
They never said Connor was programmed with Isaac Asimov's laws. You missing that. Would you program an android soldier to not kill people? That makes no sense.
I love how Hank's fight is way harder than Captain Allen + three cops. Even having gone through all what happened to him, he continues to live by his name as the exemplary lieutenant he once was.
Dflowen Not gonna happen. David Cage doesn't believe in DLC. He believes that games should be released complete to his vision, which is a good way of seeing things if you ask me.
"Stay right there." *Connor stood on the ledge* "Connor? Connor!" *Connor fell off the ledge* Imagine if Captain Allen caught his hand and pulled him to safety
What happens during the bridge scene if you failed to find where the blue-haired Traci went? What does Hank say then? Because he can't ask why you didn't shoot and he can't be mad that you did shoot, cause you never got to that point.
Funny that you mentioned that I actually have a video of the different things Hank says depending on if you find the Tracis, let them go, shoot both of them in the back or have one of the Traci shoot herself with Connor's gun - ua-cam.com/video/qZIoQDhyR1k/v-deo.html
Thanks! It's so awesome to see how much time and effort was put into this game and all its possibilities. One thing more though. I found a gif-set of a scene that I didn't see in the video. I was wondering if you could tell me when this happens: rosewaterhag.tumblr.com/post/174766554640/what-about-you-connor-you-look-human-you-sound . If not, that's ok.

"What benefit"? Emotional manipulation is a perfect reason for a machine to collect info like this
@@specialopsdave A machine hell-bent on completing his mission?

Thank you for watching. Yes that particular path only happens if you insist on talking to Hank about his son. Otherwise the fight will always end with either Connor tossing Hank off the roof or Hank tossing Connor off the roof ( trust me, I tried to get Hank as friendly as possible to see if it was possible to do the fight, then save him and NOT have him try to push Connor off the roof at the end, but that doesn't seem to be a thing ). @@katiebayliss9887 Its the vibe he gives off. He seems like a savy dude with a good sense of right and wrong. He also seems to be reserving opinions about conner, like hes really curious about him. He couldnt have done it by accident. He must tracked conner using insider info. Way too much suspician.
Yeah you'd think he'd have let him take the shot first.

Glad that you happen to have found the channel. I've got quite a few videos of what happens if you decided to go this route instead of that. XD
How is there not more likes on this?
@TruthSeeker 1453 no, we can absolutely enjoy things and criticize it at the same time. That's how progress is made. The lore IS deep, so what's wrong with "look waaaay to deep" into it. Looking deep into a story is part of enjoying it, why do you think people make fanfic and meta essays of a tv show if not for the deep lore. Lore is fun, lore is life. Im sure David Cage would appreciate that people take such a detailed look on something that he came up with, it means we actually care about his creation :)
Well I mean if the human interferes with the prime directive then it (Connor) would in fact kill a human because it will accomplish its mission choosing the beat course of action and dying would be equivalent to failing its like a Mr Meseeks (look at me)
Connor was programmed to be deviant. Its program is different than other androinds.
They never said Connor was programmed with Isaac Asimov's laws. You missing that.
