Lok Cheung is a global treasure. There's something deeply endearing about watching a genuine, earnest, and pleasant person organically experience tech instead of an overly produced studio + cutscene cookie-cutter review. Please never stop making videos.
I watched you when you showed us the first X-Pro2 and did a short Fuji factory tour. I was so impressed that I pre-ordered one straight away. I have loved the Fuji marque ever since and now also have an X-T2, X-T3, X-T4, X-T5 and X-H2. Now I have just pre-ordered an X100VI to add to the stable. Looks like another triumph for Fuji. So, thanks for introducing me to Fuji, thanks for all the amazing videos you and Kai have made over the years and if I am lucky enough to bump into you at the Photography Show in Birmingham on the 16th of March, it would be a great pleasure to meet you, thank you in person and perhaps buy you a coffee. (I know you LOVE your coffee). Pre-ordered the X100VI on 28th Feb '24 and collected it 31st August '24. What a beautiful camera it is turning out to be. Very pleased with the purchase.
Really enjoyed this video. My 100VI is due next week - this juiced me up in anticipation. A freind asked me about the camera and why it was my choice when I had been a Nikon film guy. In a nutshell - it is a film camera with 20 films already in the camera and all the exposure triangle controls - ISO, shutter speed and aperture. Oh yeah, it has a fixed lens, IBIS, and it is also digital - but you can use it like a film camera and control everything. I think he is about to buy one!
Love your essay on this Lok, specially the last line: "If they have it in stock anyway..." Fujifilm produced yet another unicorn where it is almost impossible to get one. Will I get lok-ky? :)
I use an X-T5 and an X100T for black&white only. X-trans II did that better than any of the following sensors. I'm happy they've decided to make the X100VI more accessible to people by moving production to China though. I owned the X-T1, X-T2 and X-T3 (made in Japan) and the X-T5 (made in China) and the build quality of the X-T5 is the best one yet. If that means they can ramp up production then it's a win/win.
No they are not. The X-T5 has hollow plasticy knobs, and far less impact resistant paint. Compared to the X-T2 the paint is way thinner. I can’t compare them in terms of impact resistance and reliability for obvious reasons, but solely from touching, that’s how I feel. That said, I don’t blame it on the production in China but rather on cost cutting.
Love your reviews with and without Kai! I use a Q2 at work, but in retirement in a couple years it’ll be hard to decide…used Q3 or a Fuji. Megapixel envy I guess! But I still use a Canon 5D too!
Great video! I like the ibis and the V2 lens in this camera (I have the IV and the S). But I am concern about the need for 40mp photos and the size of the raw files.
Get a Leica M guys. Save your money for the best and your x100 will be a unused toy on your shelf, so don’t waste your money for a shelf-queen and go get your dream camera.
Shooting without a camera strap while holding an umbrella with the same hand, that's savage.
While holding another’s camera with the other hand
He trained at the Kai Wong School of Juggling.
And in the rain 😅
Lok is unintentionally flexing a fraction of his power to us mortals
I cannot watch this, it gives me an actual anxiety attack!
Holding Umbrella, the camera and vlog camera and keeping your self in frame is awesome Lok!

Well said, I enjoyed the video and seeing him spread his wings. He’s doing a great job. 👍🏽
This is how Fuji intends you to use x100vI! Nice Lok!

I thought I was bad having an XT-4 and the X100VI!
@@CorvusHyperion Oh it gets worse. I have 2 Nikon Zfs that I had ALSO pre-ordered. 😂
And as of the 31st of August I now have the X100VI
This is the only X100VI video I’ll be watching

Lok, the OG of UA-cam camera review
New loK LETS GO!!!
Damn. Fujifilm X100 with IBIS?! I'm now sold. Great videos. Keep up the great work!
I love your energy!!! And really enjoy your content!! Thank you for covering the X100VI
Really thorough overview, Lok! Nice shots and presentation 👏😁
Love your essay on this Lok, specially the last line: "If they have it in stock anyway..." Fujifilm produced yet another unicorn where it is almost impossible to get one. Will I get lok-ky? :)
Hopefully the Firmware updates lean into the IBIS to create better video stability!
Loved this. You're so easy to watch and listen to.
Obviously shooting with the X100VI is what's important, but damn it certainly looks good too.
Way to go Lok! Don't shoot Fuji but running in the BG
Great video lok! Fun and informative at the same time
Love your videos, Lok!
Brave man. No strap + umbrella + camera in other hand

I like Lok! 🙏🏽
lok woop wooop 👍👍👍 great review
Great perspective, very good video as always!
Good video, Lok!
Great video!! Does this camera have better image quality than the Sony a7c 33mp camera?
Missed ya ;D
Thanks for your sharing!
Great video. Many x100vi videos out there, but I like the way you show this camera. I’m on the waiting list now!
Pentax MX + SMC 40mm, 50mm, 135mm, 200mm with Illford Kentmere 400ASA
Why am I reading all the comments in Lok's voice. Ok, you just read my comment in Loks voice.
8:00 - All OM-1's have a shutter speed ring. Not just this one...
:)
AHHHH Fuji please give me my black pre-order nowww 😭😭
There is no money in street photography. Being a street photographer is being broke. Would like to see this camera used for other things
Thank you for the vid!
I would love to see a Nikon FX Z mount version of this.
I expected the vid performance to be far better with IBIS. That's pretty surprising
Awesome, Lok! Love your videos!
thank you
does it still have warm issue like V?
great video Lok
Let me know if you want to get a beer or yakitori in Ginza if you are still here
i find the X100 series a little to bulky compared to my GX7

I like the ibis and the V2 lens in this camera (I have the IV and the S).
But I am concern about the need for 40mp photos and the size of the raw files.
I just want an optical viewfinder and I can't afford a Leica M10
The white list should've included Alamby
I wonder if they will have one in a black paint version😭
It’s already available in black!
@@TheLokCheung black paint?
@@bngr_bngrblack anodized aluminum only, I'm afraid!
it’s AR !!!
It’s all about flipping! 99% of first hand buyers would never take a single shot on the camera 😂
Is the silver one always the limited edition or is there a different silver?
Same silver
Ok it’s all nice, but without a strap it gives me anxiety 😬
I would love to find out for myself but Wex is pants at getting preorders out to people.
Sorry to hear about your experience with WEX. I have used them quite a few times and always had great, prompt service.
The shooting experience is exactly the same as the X100V.
Well duh it’s the same camera with just ibis.
10:24 1.5 Ricoh GR IIIx 🤣
Best thing about fuji some is some of us grow up and get a Leica. The real thing.
X pro1 x ever
Video IBIS is awful. Such a shame that this essential feature is a fail.
Fujifilm is now Leica since everyone is is saying "it's all about the shooting experience." 😂
“Polycarbonate glass fiber char sui” Real OG’s will know 😊
Get a Leica M guys. Save your money for the best and your x100 will be a unused toy on your shelf, so don’t waste your money for a shelf-queen and go get your dream camera.
Over priced by £400
very noisy lens and crappy AF compared to Sony
english subtitles please
He is speaking English 😂 Turn cc on and you have English subtitles
I heard him just fine.
There is nothing wrong with Lok's spoken English.
triangle
Ppl keep mentioning the V , forget about the V , no one in their right mind wants a V for nearly the same price as the new Vl . Holaaaaa !!
