I’ve been watching BFDI for years, and I am a up and coming smb1 runner myself, never in a million years would I think people who make shows about reality show style objects fighting for a dream island, would ever commit to one of the best community’s in speedrunning. BFDI is one of the main reasons why I’m inspired to make content online myself. Thanks Dudes.

And also, right after Windows XP had its end-of-life, AndrewG stopped speedrunning SMB1 because he thought his computer will crash but it didn't, and now his computer is 17 years old and still works! Well, maybe sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. His computer is a Windows XP Service Pack 2 HP desktop with an AMD 1024a processor, 1GB RAM, and 256GB HDD storage. When that computer was made, it was considered the "computer of tomorrow", but now the new "computer of tomorrow" has an even better processor, 100 times more RAM, and 64 times more storage in an SSD. Because of that computer being old, it often breaks down and the technicians have hard times to repair it due to compatibility issues of replacing parts and to repair a broken processor they must find the bad transistors in the microprocessors and replace them with good transistors. On March 7, 2022, AndrewG's computer crashed displaying a BSOD and the Red Power Button of Death, and it is currently being repaired at a Quincy Best Buy and now, the technicians are still repairing that computer! When you see new Twitch videos from AndrewG's Twitch channel, that means his Windows XP computer is working. When you see that his last Twitch video was a few months ago, that means his Windows XP computer is broken.
By the way, he just posted in Twitter that he needs a new computer. He wants a Windows 10 laptop, but he will still use his Windows XP desktop. He got a Windows 10 laptop a few years ago but now he thinks he would sell his old laptop and get a new one, but he will keep his Windows XP desktop. If he streams in his 1990 channel, then he is using Windows XP. If he is streaming in his speedruns channel, then he used his laptop. While he uses his laptop, he uses his desktop. If his desktop breaks, he would not use his laptop and he would stop streaming. Right now, his status is that his desktop is being repaired, so he hasn't streamed ever since last month.

By the way, now the 4:53 has been discovered possible for Super Mario Bros. Extended! Super Mario Bros. Extended is a ROM hack where the levels are played Lost-Levels style (There is a "Luigi Game", Luigi has its own physics, red Piranha Plants upright and inverted exist, and the fireworks don't go off unless your coin number modulo 10 equals your time number modulo 10. If your coin number modulo 11 equals 0 and the former condition is met, you can 1-up by flagpole. Therefore, you can save 1 extra framerule by getting a 243 in 8-3 and doing FPG, so, along with lightning 4-2 and playing 8-4 11 frames faster than the current record, 5 frames off the TAS, it is possible to get a 4:53.998 in Super Mario Bros. Extended.

I'm sticking by what I've said for a long time now: 4:53.xxx is going to happen. I can see as many as 4 Frame Rules' worth of time being left to save.
