I have an idea for a bit. "Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen" have Josh, Nicole, Vi, etc all in that tiny kitchen. Each one individually has a piece of the recipe for the whole meal they are collectively making. And they each has a restriction like one person can't talk, one person isn't allowed to read their section of the recipe, etc.

Jordan is probs the most legit judge I've seen for these competitions so far. Literally commented on everything I wanted to know. As much as I love the random mythical peeps being judges, they don't describe the food that well.

What's funny is someone that would compliment it for being "something new" if they were talking about someone that was from the culture, instead of just shitting on it like she did
@@jer280 I suspect josh also didn't do it right, so it's not necessarily a sensitivity double standard thing, they didn't name the dish properly from what I could tell but from the ingredients and descriptions I think I know what it's supposed to be and it looks like josh tried to do it on giant french fry sized bits of potato when you're supposed to do it with toothpicks. Probably had the same result as deep frying a whole potato and wondering why your potato fry didn't turn out good

18:39 whoever added the foley sounds of ice cubes as Nicole dropped in the butter, it's a very nice touch and did not go unnoticed! I chuckled.
It’s either that or the sound of the glass bowls being set down, since the butter in the pan was in slo-mo

I love Jordan's honesty and her clearly listing all of the positives and negatives about each dish. I really hope she makes return appearances as a judge.
I think the real goal here was "how can Josh get away with making the most horrific steak that will pissoff all the die hard pure blood steak enthusiass.s

Didn´t really seem like a throw, he just wanted to do something different but the judge didn´t care for it. "I´ve had this before but good" after being explained what it is, sounds like the typical kid that always knows the answer but only after it is said out loud

I loved Mica's ongoing crisis, and in spite of it all, her steak and potato turned out so great!
as someone who grew up in China, Josh always gets points for trying new stuff that a lot of people may not have heard of, but his recipe for the sichuan potato strips was completely off. Thinner strips, like through a shredder, and an emphasis on star anise and sichuan peppers, not a lot of chilis actually, and when you add chilis you add them whole, garlic whole, ginger whole, spring onions also in strips the same size as the potatos. But bonus points of MSG, just needs more, and please please please YOU NEED FIRE, HUGE FIRE! UG UG UG, MAN NEED FIRE!
I feel validated in my seasoning of steak 🤣 I do the same thing as Nicole, and just season 1 side! I do it because I don't feel like handing it unnecessarily 🤷

Lifetime Vegetarian here, my favorite vegetable is eggplant, I love earthy flavors in general, rosemary, potatoes, garlic, onion, asparagus, mushrooms, basil, and oregano, just to name a few!

Josh’s potatoes remind me of a type of chinese cold dish of almost raw potatoes that I loooove, except I blanch it’s and then marinate/pickle it. It’s crunchy like jicama… I’d love to try that anchovy butter yum! Duno if on steak tho lol… Mica did a great job and she was so adorable in front of the camera!!! She reminds me of me when flustered if I was cooking and talking to myself! This was awesome 🎉🎉🎉

I don't understand why Josh made that dish. It feels like intentionally throwing the contest.
sometimes he tries super hard to do something he;s unfamililar with or thinks is "cool" or unique, like in the pizza battle.
and then he flubs it because he's not actually testing his own dish and making sure its cooked right, or making sure the person judging likes it. Again, like the pizza battle.
He said it was so that he could eat the leftovers, and honestly I could totally see Josh throwing a competition just to get a snack.

They really need to fix the horrible cooktop/burner situation. I can't believe Josh would have even touch the steak to that pan. And the wok, yikes, that needs way more BTU's! Nicole's dish, wow, that looked amazing. I have a jar of that Peruvian paste left over from that pasta dish they made, so maybe I'll try it.

My favorite cut is hanger steak. Sous vide, seared and butter basted. With twice baked potato.
