Hello my friends! I know it’s probably confusing to see an upload today (after my burnout upload on Friday) I was supposed to be in Mexico during this time, so I scheduled the final 2 videos in the series to be released while I was gone. Thanks again for all your love and support!!
It was an awesome surprise I clicked on it right away!! Great views again Ryan and as always a great adventure with great friends!! :) I had commented on your previous video that you should write a book and I was not kidding you have untold stories that haven't been revealed yet and how you felt about it all. We see you in short videos but I can tell how very much you can feel this earth cry and shout so put it into your own words from the beginning and maybe it will help to heal your soul and ease the pain of the grief you are feeling for others and knowing your grandmother is not well is of course concerning to you. It is not a crime for Ryan Van Duzer to take some me time off, go get right with your world Ryan and if you do or don't publish your book maybe some reflection will make you feel better. :) :)
I know these are challenging times for you, but your work has not suffered. Excellent episode, Ryan. We got your back every step of the way. Now let's get up that hill together. ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮
Such stunning and beautiful landscapes. If you stretch out your legs (and pedal) long enough, you'll come face to face with the majesty and splendour of Mother nature.
I find solace and peace in the desert too. I hope you find renewed energy and exuberance as you work through burnout! Thank you for all you do. The world appreciates you!
Maybe to spice up your adventure's maybe your viewers could invite you on a mini adventure if someone has a paraglider or a boat or hang out and fish just give your viewers a chance to hang out with u
Much love ryan we have been with you along time and will continued to support the amazing channel as it has changed the direction of our lives for sure thank you !!! Ollayyy !!
The views! The views! Mother nature is always full of surprises. Re: your note about being confused. Not confusing, I know you have an upload schedule and the previous video was a personal update. Thank you.
Another great episode of you, John & Mira. Give yourself time to relax Ryan, so that you can bounce back even better with that massive affectionate smile that you have , we love it ❤️ Your friend across the wee pound 🇺🇸❤️🙏🏴
Yes, the desert! There is something special about it for me as well. Enjoyed seeing this installment again. That little clip of Baja had a big impact on me. Love it down there. Thanks for sharing what you do. Saludos y abrazos. :-)
Thanks for your sharing your challenges. We all face them but many don’t share. Wishing you blessings in 2022 and beyond! Relax, Recharge, Reload and Return, with a smile! :). All the best!
The tiny river you see is not the size of the river that gouged out the canyon. Like the Niagara Gorge, glacial melt water loaded with sand and gravel gouged it out over numerous advances and retreats of ice. The river water shed, or basin, are the Rockies. Imagine the amount of ice in the glacial era. Keep the faith Ryan.
Great trip! Also fun to watch because we were there in Page AZ and the Southern rim of Grand Canyon in early March 2020. I love that area. If you're ever in the Chicago area come by and see the bike garage!
Life is good as you said. Hope you get the rest you deserve and get back in the saddle so those of us with desk jobs can live vicariously though you and hopefully get inspired to “Get Out There”.
The one time I was at the Grand Canyon...it was completely fogged in. We could barely see ours hands in front of our faces. I took a picture anyway. LOL!!!
I have been enjoying watching you three! You all make a great team. Grand Canyon has a special place in my heart too. When my friends and I did the AZT, from the North Rim of the Canyon to Jacob Lake, we got to the cabin Edward Abbey stayed in, I took a picture of his carved initials in the wall of the cabin. It was pretty cool.
Reminds me of my 11k mile bike trip in 1992. 💩, this is 30 years ago. travelled from LA around the SW US including GC all the way up to Alaska and back.
The Grand Canyon was my first real experience when visiting Arizona in 2000. We fell in love and bought our retirement home here near Phoenix in 2010. Retired and moved here from Boston in 2017. Been back to the Canyon a bunch of time since and it never gets old. John is a biking machine and I wish both he and Mira a great, successful journey!
The G. C. is one of my most favorite places. It's just stunning. What a great adventure. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more of John's travels as well. Be safe
Awe-inspiring. Last August I took a dreamy coastal bike trip that was so good I lost my urge to do more for awhile. It was the kind of trip that I keep thinking about all winter long, wondering if I will ever feel that good again. Almost like a hangover after a very fun night.
HI RYAN , JOHN & MIRA 👋 BREATHTAKING BEAUTY COLORS VIEWS SCENERY VIDEO WEATHER LANDSCAPE FOOTAGE ! AWESOME CAMERA FOOTAGE ! CRYSTAL CLEAR VIDEO & SOUND ! BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏 ENJOYED !
I love your videos Ryan, they inspire me to ride my bike , get out in nature and challenge myself. John, your Round the World trip sounds amazing, and with your best buddy Mira. Just a word of warning for Australia, that quarantine will be a big challenge with Mira, so please do some research. If you can make it, you will love cycling in Oz!
Thanks for the great videos, good luck to john and Mira, and enjoy your recharge time. It’s important to realize when you need a breather. Hope to see some new videos soon Btw john and Mira have inspired me to take my dog with me in some bike trips, he only weighs 20 pounds though. We enjoy his company on our family bike rides
What beautiful views around the canyon! We hope you are getting some well needed rest. John's plans sound amazing! I can't wait to see him come through Europe!!!
What a fantastic video, loved every second of it! Truly spectacular scenery from start to finish and 2 amazing guys and the adorable Mira👌Good luck to John and Mira on their world tour, that's quite an undertaking to travel the world with your dog👍
Plate tectonics created the Colorado Plateau uplift, lifting the rocks high and flat. The Colorado river has been carving the canyon for the past five or six million years.
Grand Canyon is one of those things that never disappoint. Was on my bucket list for quite a while and I was starting to wonder if I would ever be able to visit. Then as chance would have it I was able to visit twice within 3 years. It is truly breathtaking.
Spent three weeks on a kayak/raft trip in the river back in July of 89. Hot has many meaning for me now. 119 degrees in the shade when we got to Phantom Ranch. Quite the view from the bottom too.
As a video guy, I really appreciate how difficult it must be to film these biking videos. Well done sir! Wow, that echo really bounced! Agree, the desert is indeed a unique place. Been to the Grand Canyon many times, it never disappoints. I love that East Entrance, probably the best views of the Canyon.
So sad that you are going to stop all this spectacular way of life... I hope that you will keep biking around and sharing us these great moments... I wish i could be there...
Ryan good news. DJI Mini 2 now has active track with 3rd party software. I don't know about you but I don't feel 100% safe when riding and flying at the same time.
ALL the batteries.... lol I know that feeling, there's so many when you're filming. Those bright blue skies! 😍 So jealous, it's sooo dreary here in the UK at the moment. Edges with no barrier or railing make me feel a bit ill, it's something I struggle with when riding on roads even. Any tips let me know!
I just reread Desert Solitaire it never gets old. Such an awesome meditation on society and the needed ability to escape into the wilds. Parts seem particularly pertinent in our lockdown mandate happy society. In my opinion Abbey would have said 🖕. Anyhow 2022 I'm stoked let's rock ✌️.
Does John ride the same bike as yours’ ? It looks like it but I couldn’t tell in the video. And once again a great production. Love the music selection too.
Man, if we don't get more normal snowfall in the High Country here in Colorado, the River might not exist in the future. Yet another down here for snowfall here - snow for skiing sucked again this season. Naturally, it snowed today in the High Country and most resorts are already closed (except for Breck, A-basin, and Loveland (we ski Copper). Argh. LOL
Ryan, todavía no visitas la Patagonia, cuando viajes tendrás un aspectos mas amplio de la naturaleza Saludos desde la Coyhaique Patagonia Chile.... ya termine de ver todos tus videos, eso sí con el traductor automático. Bna

We all have stuff to deal with. You help us get through it. We want to help you.

Was just there at the end of December. It was my wife and daughters first time to the south rim. It was covered in snow. Beautiful, but very cold.
Enjoy your well deserved break. My wife and I enjoy watching your videos together immensely.
The views! The views! Mother nature is always full of surprises.

Those steep cliffs make me queasy, just to watch.
Wow. Ryan you have an amazing eye for nature's beauty. Thanks for sharing this with us. Get some rest and go for a no pressure ride.

Ryan: Glad to see you've embodied John's and Mira's life philosophy ..... know when to throttle back and when to "re-create and rejuvenate"!!
Best! 🙂
How I wish Sir I can do such things. God has given you the strength to explore His blessings. Ride safe Sir and God bless
Another spectacular day. Your all a great team. Take care and stay safe, Al

I've done a 7 day river raft trip and backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon. Both were truly bucket list type of trips
Thanks a lot for your share Ryan, hope you are fine today and all the day after 🙂
You keep getting better and better with your videography and narrating. Keep up the great work.

The river did not carve out the GC. The canyon walls were pushed up by tectonics. In some places, the walls are gaining altitude every year.
Plate tectonics created the Colorado Plateau uplift, lifting the rocks high and flat. The Colorado river has been carving the canyon for the past five or six million years.
Its Duzer Time. Enjoy your break Ryan. See you again soon.
Yay!!! Episode 6 is here!!!
