I also noticed the visual promo of Nomad Cruise 😅 So glad I met you at the Savona train station, thanks again for the taxi ride to the cruise port! You are not only an excellent vlogger; you are a kind person!!
Great Video!! According to Pakt, the 45L backpack is only 41L when unexpanded and 53L when fully expanded. In it's unexpanded state, it shouldn't raise too many eyebrows going through the airport. Although could be close when fully expanded. I'd be curious to know how much more room does this pack (unexpanded) hold vs version 1 (which was 34L). Looks like the internal waterproof pocket is removed but is the bag "bigger" otherwise?
I was thinking about sticking with my Aer Travel Pack 3, but after watching this video, I don't know 😅. This 45L Pakt bag doesn't look as large as I thought it would, and if you've been getting through airports without hassle, maybe I may consider it. Good review.
@@sergiosala Nice Review, one question: do you need to buy them separately or is there a set? For the two backpacks, the travel one and the daily backpack?
I was drawn to this the travel pack for the less attention grabbing (thus less prone to theft or robbery) design, color choices and durable materials used. The clamshell dividers are uniquely practical for a more wrinkle free travel. I like the zip out expansion pack that can also fit the 15 liter day pack while transiting but one has also the option of using it as part of the under seat stowage in a larger commercial plane too. I am guess 45 +10 =55 liters in total would not be accepted at carry-on by most airlines. The 15 liter day pack with that is amazing flexibility both sliding into the expansion pouch or under the seat carry-on is perfectly thought out. The 35 & 45l v2 travel back pack is out of stock and overprice for non US residence. It does not include the 15l day back which is another overpriced $185USD. The daisy chain loops don’t have much of a functional use. The hip strap does no longer double as a fanny pack as like in version 1. I would to compression packing cubes instead of the PakT branded ones regardless of the loops. The clip-on pouches are very expensive for they lack luster utility. There are more functional and cheaper one out there that make more sense. The front 2 pouches can’t be combined into an one cable locking system like Peak Designs 45 liter. The aluminum back stays have been replaced with a cheaper plastic set. The water bottle pouch is not long enough to be used alternatively, as a tripod or monopole & stand pouch.
How would you compare this pakt vs Tortuga pro 40L? I was thinking of buying the pakt but the tortuga pro is also very good and has proper weather protection.
Funny enough im doing a review of the Tortuga! The Tortuga is a bit more heavy but it has better weather resistance.. I do like the expansion and clamshell opening on the PAKT. Tortuga has better shoulder pads tho..
I just bought the 35l because I think the 45l is too large for me. I want a carry on bag that is larger than a normal book bag but not large where I would be going hiking haha
@@NathanMerana It can. I have done it. Be aware that when using the 15L in the expansion area, that you should try to compression-zipper the expansion area, and also try to minimize the front pockets. In short, it can get a bit bulky, but it is doable.
@@arlencarlson nice!! Thank you ! Which airline did you use? I would want to use this backpack/s combo as a personal item. And then still have my roller carry on haha. That way I have more space
@@NathanMerana Air Canada. That's exactly what I like to do and the reason I went with the 35L version. Although, I have to admit, on the return trip on the last two trips I took. I ended up putting my roller in checked for varying reasons. I do think for certain airlines in Asia (and Europe?), I would probably use the backpack (and 15L) as my sole carry-on and personal item----reason is that they weigh carry-on items, and even personal items.
Hey! I am From Colombia... You can live here! very cheap... 1000 you will live like u were earning around 3000 us dollars in the USA. 2million for a rental, then 1m pesos or food, 1m pesos for nights outs and transport. Decent life. Not a fancy one, more fancy or posh, It will be like 4k where you can personal trainer, and maid service to clean your house. Go to best gyms. 4k in USA or Europe you still working class, in Colombia middle class with benefits.
Hope you liked the updated review! You can buy the bag here: geni.us/pakt

Thank you! Let me know if you get it!
Looks great ! Will check it. Always good info from you, Sergio
Glad you like the video!

@@Productivity-jc1scUnfortunately yes separate
Really want to know if the 22l would fit into the 35 or 45l
How do you remove your tablet from the everyday bag for security control? I think it needed an additional area for a tablet to quickly remove it.

Would a 40oz owala bottle fit in the bottle holder?
Is there a budget alternative to the Pakt Travel Backpack V2? What I need is a "Dual-compartment packing" main compartment model.
Just invest in this one, will last for a while
Where can you put a laptop?

Is there any way to place a lock on the zippers?
In case you need to dispatch the bag due to lack of space on the cabin? Thanks
Yes you can! In all of the zippers, I just don’t usually do that so I forgot to mention it
Many thanks@@sergiosala It's an awesome bag :)
This looks really good. I may go for the 35l

Can the 45L fit under the seat?
