That part number saved my ass. I couldn't find it anywhere. I just replaced my whole ac system but this line and this line blew off today bad spring. Smh now I have to drain the oil from the compressor and re add
To add to this video, for the g owners, the product number would be: 92440-am601. Z1 motorsports has them for 65$. The picture that they show is just a stock image in case it deters anyone. I sent 4 emails with pictures making Absoulutley sure that the piece is what it was supposed to be and they assured me it was. Not only did it come 2 days after order, (i also bought their silicone oem intake couplers) but it was the right part. By far the cheapest i found anywhere.
Thanks man!!! Been trying to figure this out on my own for weeks now!! Hah. Thank to you I’ll be picking up that disconnect kit tomorrow and fixing my G. 👍🏻 Fire 🔥 quality video too bro! Thanks again. For some reason I thought these donut shapes were crimped on from factory. Lol. Ugh. Live and learn.
Good job! I did a ac compressor, condenser and dryer install on my Z. The weird part was I thought I had bent the high pressure line while removing the old parts, but upon looking up images on the internet, I found that those " kinks" were actually part of the routing design. Weird.
Z33 Garage Yeah, these high pressure lines were designed kinda dumb, they should've made them in 2 pieces, not one long piece from the firewall all the way to the condenser lol. But thanks for the support man, much appreciated!
My local G Z shop guy how about that. So I finally got my G tuned and running great with those large bore TB's as well as installed my cooling parts and got my stereo slapping as well. Just need to wire up the external fogs from the non sport and install my 2 camera rear view mirror setup to go with my tesla screen. Your the man I can't wait to bring you my Bi@tch to put a new rear end in. Either that or it's ready for the air 2 air soho stillen suoer charger. Clutch feels great by the way and I still have those O2 sensors we put in wrong for sale and some wheel Hubs and bearings. Let me know. Stephen
Pretty sure this is what is wrong with the AC in my Z...after about 6 years of my intake tapping/vibrating/moving/etc against the AC line, it finally gave way to a small hole. Actually fixed it for about two years using some high temp epoxy/jb weld...but it finally gave way again so at this point I think it's just time to replace
Hey so I basically just did what you did. Didnt have ac in the Z for about 2 years and finally pulled the plug due to the heat wave we ate facings right now. So I installed the high pressure line what's the next step after that?
Thank you for another handy vid! I need to remove my front bumper/rad/mount etc to do my timing chain, do I need to discharge the ac to unplug the lines from the ac rad?
If the ac hasn't been discharged from a collision or damage to the condenser than I always have it evacuated by an AC technitian that I know. It sucks but if you just dis-connect the ac lines it leaks all that freon everywhere, stinks, bad for your lungs, and the environment. But to sum up the question, yes you need to evacuate the ac system before unplugging the hoses from the condenser.
@@fullthrottleperformance I did this, but it caused the pipe diameter to narrow and therefor becoming a reducer. The pipe is now icecold right after the weld, and AC is not doing much. Make sure the dent, which it was in my case, isn't too big, then welding should do the trick.
where did you get your AC line? I Have bought 2 new ones and they are wrong ( correct year, not my error). They are bent the wrong way. ( I cant find them used. I found one but the ends were messed up)
You tried the dealer? They can run your vin, and get the right one to you. And the ac lines at the dealer arn't much more than used ones. Usually right around 130-150
@@fullthrottleperformance I will try that. Thanks! I think I tried auto zone for power steering lines but they were insane so I just thought AC lines would be the same outcome. I will check out the dealer though for the AC line
I was just filling my lines the I had the same AC line pop from where you press it in. Do you think it could be that the lines were clogged and the spring might be bad or have you heard of any issues that were similar?
I always take my cars to a local AC shop that puts the lines under vacuum, and checks for leaks prior to refilling with freon. Sorry for the super delayed response
Hey im having problem with 2006 nissan 350z the check engine light irs been on the whold time i tried to use my scanner to see whats the problem and i get the code it was P0014 P0021 P1081 and its say performance system over advance etc... but ive been changing all the camshaft sensor so many time and still the check engine light still going to show up after i drive for couple miles so please help with this one what should i do...
So my lines were snapped after i replace them do i need to take the car to get freon in it or can i just use the bottles from walmart until its full again
Take it to an AC shop and have them put it under a vacuum for at least 15 minutes. That way there's no air or moisture in the lines, then they'll put the correct amount of freon in.
@JAY NISMO You need to vacuum the lines once you connect the new ones. Moisture can get in once you disconnect so take the extra step and avoid future damage.
welsh man I use eBay's global shipping program, I ship to them and they ship to you. All you gotta do is check the item you need, if you don't see an option to buy, send me a message👍
Probably if your putting a new one in you would use some snips and just cut it in the spots where it is clipped in to take it out quicker. But great video. I know the firewall Clip must be a son of a bitch to take out.
Damn….Ive been looking for this for a while.Cant believe a 5yr old video was more helpful then all the other ones I’ve watched
That part number saved my ass. I couldn't find it anywhere. I just replaced my whole ac system but this line and this line blew off today bad spring. Smh now I have to drain the oil from the compressor and re add
Bro my ac just went out yesterday! And this video is saving my life! 🤟🏻 had the hole in the same spot too
Selfmadecouch That's crazy, lol. I found out my girl had a hole in the same spot a week after me too, lol.
Old thread but this happens in G35s as well. The air intake rubs a hole through it

Look who's back!! Another great video :)
My intake did the same thing today on my z!
Thank you so much for this video.
Will do it soon, ARC intake rubbed it right where the thing connects to the AC rad.
It happened to my car, then literally a day later my girlfriend said her ac stopped working lol. Same exact thing to both our cars lol
And thanks for the support, much appreciated!

Hey Charlie is the high pressure ac line the same on the G35 and the 350z ??

How did you take out the windshield wipers because mine aren’t coming off and I did the same way you did
Mine is leaking from the exact place 😂 thanks to the video!

@@fullthrottleperformance many thanks for your reply! That's good to know now before I dive in! Looking forward to the next installment 👍
My z had the same exact issue .if the hole is small enough try welding it .
Talking about brazing? or tig? lol not the first time someone has said this
Sorry for the super delayed response

This is exactly what had happened to my z( bought it with this problem). Did you have to relieve any pressure??
No because all the pressure was already lost thru the hole
@@fullthrottleperformance awesome, I live in texas and desperately need the ac lol. Thanks for the reply.
Great video as always!

Thank you! You made it seem so easy haha
Sweet, thank you ! 👍😎
Ik I just saw it with my own eyes but how difficult is this to do?
Thanks a lot bro
Dominic Wimbley Glad I could help!
I was just filling my lines the I had the same AC line pop from where you press it in. Do you think it could be that the lines were clogged and the spring might be bad or have you heard of any issues that were similar?
It wasn't clicked in completely or the spring is missing. Make sure you can't pull it out without the tool when you press it in.
Same exact thing happen to me, those damn intakes lol, good video thank you
Did you have to vacuum the AC lines after replacing this part
I always take my cars to a local AC shop that puts the lines under vacuum, and checks for leaks prior to refilling with freon.
Sorry for the super delayed response
Your car actually has a built in tool to disconnect the lines. AT 8:25 see those white o-ring clips at the end of the line ;)
That's not a tool, it's a clip to hold the spring when disconnecting or when the line is not in use(before being sold, or used on a vehicle).
What’s the line Thats next to the ac line ?
Hey im having problem with 2006 nissan 350z the check engine light irs been on the whold time i tried to use my scanner to see whats the problem and i get the code it was P0014 P0021 P1081 and its say performance system over advance etc... but ive been changing all the camshaft sensor so many time and still the check engine light still going to show up after i drive for couple miles so please help with this one what should i do...

Take it to an AC shop and have them put it under a vacuum for at least 15 minutes. That way there's no air or moisture in the lines, then they'll put the correct amount of freon in.
I hope you didn't forget to vacuum pump the line so that any air/moisture from outside doesn't mess up the compressor.
Of course, I use a friend's very nice snap on ac machine that does a vac/ leak test before putting in new oil and freon
@JAY NISMO You need to vacuum the lines once you connect the new ones. Moisture can get in once you disconnect so take the extra step and avoid future damage.
How much would this cost to do professionally
Probably in the $600-700 range including the A/C line. At least that's about what it would be at my shop
Were you able to fill the compressor right after the install?
Yes
🙏🏼
how you replace an ac o ring from a infinity m35?
my 350z ac make a hissing sound on the dash meter when turned off , is it the ac line leaks ?
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean
Same problem as me
Do you ship to the uk
welsh man I use eBay's global shipping program, I ship to them and they ship to you. All you gotta do is check the item you need, if you don't see an option to buy, send me a message👍
Is there a way to remove this completely
Like remove the line? You can take all the lines, and compressor out etc. You just won't have ac of course
Can it be welded if its cut in half?
Honestly I don't think so, but I don't know. Might be able to tig it
Dis u ever try welding it my lines were cut as well
Probably if your putting a new one in you would use some snips and just cut it in the spots where it is clipped in to take it out quicker. But great video. I know the firewall Clip must be a son of a bitch to take out.
Good idea, I honestly didn't even think of that lol
Good vid!
TripleM__QGTM Thanks bro!
Aye
Isn't that the low pressure line
No the long skinny line is the hi pressure line
@@fullthrottleperformance and these are the only ac lines right that run under the intake
@@devingarcia7698 yes, you have the flexible low pressure line and the skinny high pressure line
