30 DAY RICE WATER CHALLENGE | BLACK Rice Water for Hair Growth *real results*

  • TODAY I am finally trying the rice water challenge for hair growth! Instead of white rice I will be using black rice simply due to smell (there is none!) Stay tuned to the end of the video to see my results. However, in conclusion, I don't think this is something I'd do very consistently just for the simple fact that I am not very pressed for hair growth! Let me know if you guys enjoyed this video by leaving a thumbs up -- thanks for watching!

    I didn't do rice water correctly. I didn't let it ferment long enough. But my hair texture was so soft and shiny. I like it but I'm like you I wouldn't incorporate that in a regular hair routine. Maybe monthly.

    I've been using organic white rice for a few months and already I can see and feel changes with my hair , good changes. I'm on medication for chronic migraine and my hair over time was getting thinner and thinner and then small bald patches started to appear.Thanks for your video, i'm going to try different types of rice. I wanted to let you know to store your fermenting rice in a glass container as plastic is made with petrochemicals and gas's that leach into your food or what ever and you really don't what that crap in or on your body. Glass or ceramic is safer Plus I think your hair looks healthier and that's what's happening to mine , its not growing madly long but it is getting the heath back and I'm SO happy Its natural and it works how good is that :) Thanks again for the video and all the best

      kxdsheldy the reason why some people have dry and frizzy hair after they use it is because they haven’t done their research. rice water has a high amount of protein and if you abuse it it can cause protein overload, which causes the hair to become brittle and break ect. rice water is good but you just have to know what you’re doing 🤷🏾‍♀️

      @@basicallyyh8595 it's good to have protein on your hair every 3-2weeks (weekly) because it smooths the hair shafts so that the products will retain moisture. I have color treated hair so I go based off the way my hair feels. If it's too soft you need a protein treatment. If it's to brittle you need to deep condition.

      Ferment for 5 days?! Doesn’t it get old & start to smell bad

    • @TheAmazingXman
      @TheAmazingXman 4 роки тому

      @@kxdsheldy It does release some of the gases that can bit appalling. but as someone who is a chef and also a wine sommelier I treat the rice water as if I'm pickling a vegetable. It's in a cool dry place that is temperature controlled and away from sun light. The proteins in the rice release the lactic acid which has the anthocyanins, iron, calcium and other trace minerals. From denaturing the protiens of the rice. (Which is why they can swell and burst) the longer it sits the more fermented it can be. I do also add in rosemary, peppermint, lavender, and citrus essentials to help combat the smell. To me it's very reminiscent of beets, it has a earthy smell. You will get a stronger more effective product for sure. The Yao women boil theirs and ferment it too. But like anything that is 100 natural you have to use it in a timely manner I make sure it doesn't have any impeding side effects on your health. Hope this helps!💙😇

    It’s been like 6 months and my hair is only 4 inches i think something might be wrong 😂 maybe this could help?

    • @kxdsheldy
      @kxdsheldy  4 роки тому +2

      that’s a bit faster than the normal growth rate imo. The average person grows 6 inches per year.

    how long does the rice water hv to stay on ur hair??

    • @kxdsheldy
      @kxdsheldy  4 роки тому

      SHORTgamer it varies, I leave mine in for 30 minutes. I’ve seen some people leave it in but that puts you at risk for growing bacteria + “protein overload.”

    White rice is very good for hair growth

    Do you apply it every day?

  • @tjtanner9311
    @tjtanner9311 4 роки тому

    Why rinse it out? Why not just leave it in?

    • @kxdsheldy
      @kxdsheldy  4 роки тому +2

      It increases the risk of it hardening your hair making it susceptible to breakage. Also invites more bacteria & it may start to stink lol
