    I’m sticking to my black rice water, coffee and tea rinses. I mix them with aloe vera juice and acv. My hair is thriving. I will also use onion water as a pre-poo treatment to help grow my edges back. I eat healthier and drink more water as well. It’s more important to eat healthier and drink more water than anything you can put on your hair.

      I agree. Don't forget to nourish the inside of your. I think that may be that may be reason some of us (including myself) aren't seeing the wanted results after doing all the external hair remedies. Also, ladies let's drink more water and limit the soda and other sugary drinks.

      Do you use the store bought aloe Vera juice?
      I also have been prepooing with onion diy before washing!
      I also have been using a green tea diy, but haven’t gotten the results I wanted yet.
      I may just stick to the onion diy and maybe try black rice diy.

    I have been watching rice water videos for a while, but since I only had forbidden rice I was reluctant to try it, two weeks ago I decided to give it a go, so I mixed the rice water and fenugreek seeds to make the water and added Aloe Vera juice. My hair is currently in a protective style, I did notice that I have great new growth. I also added fenugreek powder to my Shea Moisture hair creme. Will keep you posted once I take my hair out next week to wash it.

    How often do you think you can use black rice water? I just used it this week and the first day I saw the elasticity improved in my hair. Even in the front part where the curls were looser they became tighter coils...so exciting!! 😂 I’m just wondering how often do you use it for low porosity hair and would you prepare it by boiling the rice in the water and fermenting it that way or would you just place it in room temperature water and leaving it overnight?

    I had to give black rice water a good go before commenting. I have 12 yo locs and suffer from alopecia areata. Since 13 yo. I only have a small bald patch at my hairline on the right. My other larger patches on both sides are full of hair. However they do not grow more than mm. I tried brw to see if it helps. I have had a little more length. But I have noticed that its excellent at building protein in to the actual locs. I just don't understand why my patches seem stuck short. They used to grow back normally. But have both just been short for years. I was really hoping this might help. I dermaroll and use nutrients internally. I honestly am at the end of my tether. AA is such an unpredictable disorder. I appreciate your videos. I just can't seem to find the key. Although I believe my hair growth cycle is at fault thanks to your help

    • @SpiceRackProductions
      @SpiceRackProductions 3 роки тому +4

      How often you use rice water depends on your hair’s porosity. If you have low porosity hair only uses it every 6-8weeks and make sure to moisturize and seal afterward. If you have high porosity hair you can use it more like once a week or once every two weeks. You can apply it on your scalp if you want but the magic happens when you spray it on your strands. The water can last pretty long if you refrigerate it

    How would we incorporate it into our regimen? Do you recommend spraying it on daily or as a rinse out? I am relaxed now and wondering also if this is good for my hair?

    Love the new name. I am late to your channel but my understanding is the hair that we see essentially is dead the life is at the root. If we eat a good diet then this will make a difference to your hair. These treatments are limited in what they can do as the problem has already occurred. Am I wrong?

    • @CurlyChemistry
      @CurlyChemistry  4 роки тому +4

      A good diet is good yes, but hair treatments/regimens are important to maintaining healthy hair. Even though hair is "dead", it still responds when we neglect it (dry/breakage) or care for it (soft/manageable).

      PLEASE don't believe that!
      I eat a very healthy diet and take herbal supplements from European to Asian to Ayurvedic. I went through a busy season at work where all I had time to do was eat, shower, and sleep during the few hours that I was off everyday. Wash day takes a minimum of 5 hours for my best nourishing routine. And, that's the quick version. It usually takes a full day, sometimes extending overnight into the next day. With no off days in sight, all I could do was wear a satin bonnet literally all day and sleep in it too. I would take it off to let my hair breathe for a few hours. But, eventually, after 3 months of NOT washing my hair, it became dry, tangled and matted. I had no patience to spend hours detangling it so I actually had to cut it. 💇🏾‍♀️ So, please listen to this wise woman, Curly Chemistry. And learn from my experience. You can't neglect your hair. You really DO need to care for your hair in between wash days. Eating a healthy diet alone will NOT sustain healthy hair.

    Hi so I like to binge on your videos 🤦‍♀️ Could you perhaps do a video on Onion Juice treatment? I use in every 2weeks on wash day but I would like to hear your learned opinion❤️
    Onion Juice:
    One brown onion
    2 garlic cloves
    Cayenne pepper
    I blend the onion and garlic. Strain the juice than add the pepper.

    Hello I am a low porosity natural and the white rice water made my hair hard or brittle....from your scientific insight do you think the black rice be more moisturizing for a lopo natural?

    • @irresponsibleparent3
      @irresponsibleparent3 4 роки тому +1

      No rice water should go on low porosity hair. It's too drying and your hair will break, leave rice water alone and focus on moisture!

    I add citrus peel, oils & butters & may add nut milk next time ( 3 - 6 months) to soften the hardness of the protein.

    I use black rice water and love it! I boil the rice until it's half done and pour it in a mason jar, cover it with a paper towel, let sit for three days, and then use on the third day. I also eat the rice because it's to expensive to waste, it's great for digestion, full of fiber and nutrients, and it tastes good. I mix the black rice water with my shampoo and conditioner. I also just recently started mixing it with aloe juice and essential oils in a spray bottle. I use that to spray on my hair to help detangle my hair and help add moisture when styling my hair. I like it a lot.
