Awesome vid yet again, I enjoy the commentary so much, amazing how you can do that so enthusiastically and play at this level! : You should make something with infestors :D
You could potentially send in your lings and burrow before the lurkers when playing vs terran to bait out scans, then unborrow run them further in and burrow again to get another scan. Then hit with the lurkers, maybe bait with the remaining zerglings by running them to the lurkers you snuck into the back with the overlord.
Ayy the lurkers, the terran's bane of existence! This one is pretty interesting because of all the lategame possibilities even if they hold out the early aggression. Btw, are you still considering a 100k special of some sorts? Thanks for the awesome content on both channels anyhow!
Brilliant idea to get pro coaching for the zerg and protoss strategies! Consider to get the coaching on stream so we can follow the reasoning behind the different optimizations and learn from the coach too.
Hi Marc, if you're going to get coaching, I would love to see a couple of coaching vids too, if you were comfortable publishing those! It would be very interesting to me as a noob to see what kind of things rely on good mechanics in general, and what kind of things are experience with the race.
Many of these games are not even cheese. A hidden expansion is not equal to cheese in many cases. Many are just clickbait, but good content none the less.
In the last game the lurker drop is too funny and I am gonna start doing it... But after you killed his reapers if you had a baneling drop follow up I think you would have won that with baneling or muta follow up too. His lack of vision and being fooled into (what I 100% would have thought) a baneling bust/ling flood scenario.... Anything flying into the main would have wrecked him...
Would love to see the corrupter spray used on many buildings at once. Its DPS gets silly after it ramps up. With ~2 corrupters per building, their entire main dies in under 20 seconds. Much faster if just interested in depots or pylons.
Incredibly satisfying seeing you destroy that salty hater in the end. If you end up throwing out homophobic nonsense when you lose you are either taking the game too seriously or you're a terrible person. Thank you for always staying loving and positive Mark!
Mark, how are you this good? Seriously, how do you know the maps so well? Do you watch gm games behind the scenes? Do you play off of video too? Or what? You’re so fun to watch! Amazing!!!
He was a professional for many years, which is why he can make these ideas work so consistently. He is being matched with players very far below his skill. You'd likely find most if not all of your own crazy ideas will work against someone 2000 MMR lower than your normal level.
@@tuhaggis To be fair, he has/had fair success against GMs and pros too. The early matches against lower MMR players are more for trial & error and refining the builds. But yeah, it's easy wins at the start.
@@mariogutierrez4989 That kind of reinforces Mr. Tuhaggis point. He's good enough to mess around and do fun strats against the top players and win. He beats pros like Harstem consistently while doing challenges for himself. Unless he makes major or numerous mistakes, very few players on the ladder can beat him. He may not have been the most successful pro out there, but if you can't play good enough to qualify for sc2 tournaments, you still dont stand a chance unless hes being extra dumb.
Now i understand WHY your games are 100 times more interesting then Maru , Seral ,HeroMarin. uTermal love the CHAOS. And good Micro plus "ebraice the Chaos" is Best posible starcraft. And Cool Nucks. I still remember few brutal Nucks from THE 90's Broodwar.
Lurkers are the main reason that Terran and Protoss are (usually) better off building an air army vs Zerg. I still want to see a half-hearted Ravager bust into into Mutalisks, as a cheese. It's basically Muta/Ling/Bane, except with Roaches/Ravagers instead of Banelings. When you have to defend the rear bases against Mutas and the front bases against Ravagers breaking your walls, something will give way and the Zerg will get in.
I slightly disagree for a complete air army, but it's definitely beneficial to have some air *units* at least. You shouldn't transition into fully air until you see proof of lurkers unless that was your plan in the first place.
I think because it takes so much longer to get online. BW, its just lair + den + an upgrade, den doesn't require lair just pool so can be made same time as lair. In SC2 its Lair ->Hydra den->lurker den + upgrades to get them efficient. So significantly longer to do so. The only reason it comes "faster" in SC2 is because you start with 12 workers vs the 4 in BW so a lot of the time is just getting economy up. If you started with 12 in BW you would have lurkers up by 3 min.
hello again! question: what do you think of the lurker drop but with only one lurker per overlord for maximum micro so as to not lose the second lurker?
In these early episodes I like it more when you make it extra challenging, like in proxy nexus pretending to be afk or in terran challenges not using the 5 marines 1 reaper. Doing good cheese builds, although off-race and unconventional, is a bit too dominant at this level...
uthermal: get coaching from a pro protoss... not sure who... and maybe serral for zerg. Then... next tournament... play to win as random. No limits. I wanna see how crazy you can make your strats to abuse random race.
I had a nits flst screen when flat screens first came out as Samsung was too expensive... when I upgraded it a decade later... there was so many more colours and tonal range.... the k ky down side to hdmi and the new cables is that it limits data speed as I found parallel ports with the chunky blue screws is faster speed. As the hdmi could have up to 5mms or more delay. Huge in fps playing.. so you are not seeing g what is actually going on I the computer the delay made no sense to me, lol. Upgrading monitor that is built for gaming it can be super smooth, but sometimes the software uses a frame filler or blur to make it smoother, which creates minor delays to render lag... I would rather have it come from the source rather then a secondary degradation, but for a TV show that's not live playing works great.
Every time uThermal starts talking about playing like a baboon, I start wondering about these highly trained Starcraft baboons running around, an what their purpose might be.😅
These are all shorthand ways of referring to build orders. rax is short for barracks, so 2-rax means they build two barracks, 3-rax means three. 3-rax reaper means they build three barracks and start with a few reapers. Similarly, for Protoss, a 2-gate means they build two gateways first, 4-gate means four gateways, etc. 17-17 refers to the supply count at which zerg builds their first buildings, which will be gas, hatchery, and/or spawning pool: at 17 supply, they build the first building, which sacrifices a drone, then as soon as the next drone finishes and they're back up to 17 supply, the next building is produced. 17-18 would mean the same, but allowing an extra drone to build in between, so the second building happens at 18 supply. The only other naming pattern that springs to mind is for terrans: 2-2-2, 2-2-1, etc. These numbers refer to the number of each production facility you build, in the order barracks-factory-starport. So a 2-2-2 opener means building two of each, 2-2-1 is two rax, two factory, one starport... and so on for other patterns.
Generally for races that have production facilities (terran/protoss) numbers mean how many of a facility they have, and for zerg, numbers usually mean the supply count when things get built.
That last one, he didn't even say gg, Uthermal sitting there saying he did good and praising the guy then the guy goes "soo gay" like bruh... if that's your response you weren't good enough for that MMR rating anyway.
