That single line is perfectly in-line with my constant mood. I've always loved how Cooper isn't afraid to speak his opinions, no matter how "controversial" the public thinks it is.
Skillet, when this came out I was homeless, in and out of jail, and unhealthy. Now I have a house, a good job, and a husband. This song and "Clover Cage - Lies From The Devil” are the two songs that helped overcome my depression. I just want everyone to know things do get better, and they will! We are in this together. I love you 💕

When I was a teen, Skillet was my favorite band, but then I don't know for almost a decade couldn't bare to listen anything connected to my teen years. A few years back, I gave it a go again. While many of bands I used to listen to back then had all changed style, Skillet still had the same sounds than when I left them. Point is, I still love Skillet as much as I did back then!!

They will always have a place in my heart, too, but I don’t like any church or Christian artist turning all political. I became so disappointed in John during the pandemic & deeply saddened. I felt like someone scrambled his brain like most cause what little politics i participated in, I was Republican. Most of those either act like him now, worse, or are like me & ask “what the heck happened?!. I’m apolitical. But One perWhat world are we living in?!? Skillet was all about loving the outcast, the unloved, the forgotten. Then they became the opposite. I will listen to this song since everyone is saying the “old” skillet is back. I love good music. The Atlantic years were super safe lyrically, sure there were songs about God but they were very general and "safe". Bring back the blatantly Christian lyrics, I miss those, and I'm hoping it'll be more like the older days lyrically.
Definitely agree. Obviously it's still Skillet's signature sound, but you can tell it's different, it's got a bit more fuel behind it. I already like this one song more than every song on Dominion (although I loved that record as well, because Skillet). I don't think Atlantic would have let that out-of-left-field "whatever" slide either, becaue as far as I'm aware, none of their other songs have anything very similar to that. Skillet is definitely doing what they want more freely now. I got a good feeling this new album is going to be insane!
