I used to skate for about 6 years. I remember skating in Sacramento at a local skatepark (he's from Davis which is 10 minutes from Sac) and I see the kid you see in all the Tony Hawk Games. Kid could shred and he was super nice! Handed out stickers to everyone. Good guy.

I remember thinking that this kid was going to be the future of skateboarding. That was spot on. When I think of the really good pros at the time it's crazy how he blew all of them out of the water. Some of them like Paul Rodriguez and Chris Cole hung with him for a while.
This is what *"Glo Up⬆️"* means....I remember him winning the gold two years in a row with the psychedelic dreads 🤙 and no shit less than 2 years and multiple tourneys later he got a haircut and then I was like "yea he's a superstar now" lmao he has so many haters that are pure blood thrashers but there is no success without haters....period!
My best friend told me. It's that kid with the dreads. Rocking the scene !! I saw SLS tour In LA just a few days ago were he was competing. Dame bro do you know how many kids feel like they grew up along side of you.?! Skating is pure joy and fun. I love it bc it's freedom. Thecommunity. The fact that most of not all pro skaters are very humble and nicest ppl you'll ever meet. Everybody else ? Is all about money

After that I lost all respect for the award. Shane is the most technical skater I've ever seen. Can Nyjah do a switch flip back tail switch flip out? Nope. Shane can do things Nyjah can't and Nyjah does things Shane wouldn't even attempt. Shane is better at skating switch, and Nyjah skates bigger stuff than Shane. I like watching super technical stuff, and nobody is more technical than Shane. If you've got a skater more technical, I'd love to hear to hear about them. Contest skating is about consistency. Street skating is about creativity, skill, and style. That's why I've got Shane O'Neil as the top street skater in the world.
