It just sucks that people have to hate on him because he has "no style". He's literally perfected almost every trick and people are hating on him for that...
Dude is insane but doesnt look good doing tricks, maybe it's the dumb clothes :(
mr Burger lol yeah it’s def the yoga pants and skirts none the less he is still a beast
@@Dan16673 So now we judging skaters off their clothes? If that's the case, there should be tons of pros being made fun of.
I never understood that. His style is perfection. People dissing his long t-shirts fantasize about men in crop-tops.
@@Dan16673 , pause
I do not understand how anyone can criticize this man. I love his style. He’s so precise and clean. He deserves the world man for the hard work he puts in. Work hard kids!!!!
idk the sexism maybe?
@@aFutureCorruptX Yeah, I think people just get annoyed when someone is winning every single contest. I remember getting some hate too back when he was winning everything. it’s dumb. Nyjah does win a lot but he’s winning because he really is doing the biggest and best tricks, it’s not because he’s being favored by judges.
he's one of the greats.
"LiL'JpD."
people will always hate on greatness
@@joeray7899 lol sure
Jesus. On the first day? This man is so consistent
Insanely good but i don't see this winning and def not my favorite. I think so many skaters today are constant is because they have access to indoor parks. says it here that he has in own indoor park.
@@bobkilla430 I can't begin to even fantasise about doing it better than Nyjah, but I did feel like he didn't lock into the blunt slide on this one. Definitely not as clean as in his own indoor skatepark. Not hating on it, but I kind of think he should have cleaned it up more.
He was probably there less than an hour lol. This guy is insane.
First fully committed try
@@bobkilla430 i dont see anyone else doing something anywhere near as hard as this, not even sure another pro out there would even attempt it, also its way to early to call winners...
Imagine not having to go back multiple times for this trick. Guy is insane.
But he did go up back up multiple times for it..
Christopher Rivera he means actully a different day
Jsnowyy xactly
He didn't even do any warm up tricks to get a feel for the ledge. Just went straight into trying the full cab noseblunt lol. Who does that??
underrated comment
What a sick contest. Loving this.
Nyjah Huston is 25....and somehow been pro for 45 years.
IYKYK ;)
@@vincemead2491 lol
Such a good idea
Minimum Brad bwahaha, I like what you did there! Hahaha
Seriously brilliant.
I understand why people criticize him but at the end of the day he's undeniably one of the best skaters alive. Especially when you learn about how he grew up it's only natural that his style is so precise. Dude literally was raised from a kid to be a professional skater.
"Dude literally was raised from a kid to be a professional skater." Right, but this is true for pretty much most of today's pros though. You can't get into skateboarding at age 20 and compete against kids who started at age 6 and have been doing pro competitions since age 13. It just can't be done in a sport this technical and skill based.
PHeMoX Most pros grew up skating but a lot of them did whatever they wanted when they skated as kids. Nyjah’s dad put him through what is pretty much the skating equivalent to circuit training while he was growing up which is why his tricks are so perfect every time. I guess what I mean is Nyjah trained more systematically than anyone else as a kid and his style reflects that.
jxtg i didn’t know that, i know my chances of being pro are close to 0.001 just because i started at 15 years old
@@tomybogadjian1487 just cause you started at 15 doesn't mean you can't make a career out of skateboarding tho there are youtube skaters who are arguably just as successful as many pros
Nyjah is one G.O.A.T. This man loves the sport and puts his entire heart and mind into it. Remember we all do this because we love it. Don't knock someone just because it's cool to hate. Always strive to be the best version of yourself you can be
Next he'll be doing cab flips into it. 😱 he's sick
not far fetched
Was just thinking the same thing. His next part guaranteed.
First “real” attempt to put it down and he stomps it. Just had to get the feel. Cmon bro he’s the Goat.
You have any what the "goat" means cause I don't think you do.
The greatest of all time what tf else would it mean
@@TheJsjr he's nowhere near the goat
Dude is so humble, every interview I've seen him in he is just chill and never braggy
dude is a monster.
yes
Dude won. This trick is so gnarly
Nyjah is perfect. He is brave and doesn’t give up.
Never could comprehend the hate this man gets. I used to watch his parts when he was a kid, when I was younger and would think "this dude is going to be unstoppable when he grows up" and here we are. I saw a comment below and couldn't agree more, you're watching the MJ of skating.
RIP Keith Hufnagel
who?
@@samoketis Google it
@@734wheeler5 i guess would get an aswer if it was someone important, but now i really dont care, thank you anyway
@@samoketis you're so edgy wow
Samo Ketiš it was someone more important than you, that’s for sure.
This guys skating is so smooth. I remember watching all the x games with him in it and all his tricks are smooth like butter.
Nyjah so smooth with it; the momentum your body's going at after the half cab to lock into a blunt down a steep hubba could go wrong in so many ways and this man just rolls out butter
I respect this man so much. Takes so many spills with the mindset of conquering it each time. That’s greatness. That’s it right there.
Give this man his Gold Medal 🥇
I wouldn't be so hasty. There are many great tricks from the other riders.
@Jeses Just curious : what's special about clipper ledge? It's been featured many times, but doesn't seem so special to me. I guess, as usual, it looks much gnarlier in real life than on video.
Ultimately, I don't care much who wins. This contest format is interesting, I've seen great tricks and discovered new skaters.
far beyond difficult so many factors the half cab execution, the lock in going down at steep angle, maintaining a blunt slide after spinning, finding a krispy way out of a spinning sliding steep stunt bravo my friend.
love him or hate him, he's one of the best to ever do it
The fact people hate on him is mind boggling to me. Like yeah, he’s a little flashy these days with his cars and big house and all that. But so is every single other established pro that has had a similar level of success. Burnquist has a mega ramp in his yard. Hawk has a skatepark at his house and a private vert ramp. And Bam, when he was still pro, flexed harder than any other pro at the time with his Ferraris and castle bam. I just don’t get why people get so salty about Nyjah.
Because hes better than them
You gotta earn a name in skateboarding. You can’t think some energy drink & sponsors that don’t give back to the culture make you some legend when he ain’t the only guy sponsored but what’s he doing to help like Tony hawk. People Hated him & he became a major role in skateboarding history & actually giving back. Not spending money from sponsors on crappy exotic cars-Not acting like you don’t gotta give back to those who even support you. So when you become sponsored it’s deeper than money, the wins. This is a culture & some exploit it & give back nothing & take everything so we don’t expect everyone to get we dot mess with sell outs, explosive brands & wack posers who think every pro is the best when they can be pricks, narcissistic & some sponsors & awards don’t make you the best skater as many have died & been good but great because what they did for skateboarding.
Because skateboarding is about having fun, not flashy cars and the money behind it. Lol.
Having fun doesnt negate making money.. your gonna have a terrible life thinking like that.
@@SoPoTheVibe it's his money though, he can do whatever just like we can. Thats his choice
Telling you people buy his shoes and hold them for a couple years once he wins the olympics the price is gunna sky rocket... Your watching the Michael Jordan of skateboarding and you dont even realize it....
thats a good idea haha
@@Lil-yl4qz telling you mayne! Esp the olympic colorway
Except skateboarding is not nearly as big as basketball..
@@ronpark5195 we all know that whats your point lol
Dudes been mj since first competing if you didn't see him coming sad haha only other skater that didn't pan out was chaz ortiz lol
Even tho he is not #1 on my list but you cannot deny that this guy is the best ‘big trick’ skateboarder to ever exist
he is technical and can do so many tricks it just doesn't look cool
idk
@@griffinrotundo3339 I don’t really get why people say that. I think he does make tricks look good. Maybe it’s the way he dresses??
schland9 yeah he dresses like a tennis player but he’s probably the Best skater of all time atm
schland9 his style makes tricks look easy and effortless (even though they obviously aren’t) and people associate that with a lack of style. It’s all subjective and what an individual likes particularly. The fact that he’s held in such high regard as one of the greatest skaters ever also breeds with it a lot of haters. That’s more or less the reason people brush him off in passing. But he won those medals for a reason. He’s insane
To me, skill is more important than a certain style. He is incredibly consistent and can do so much, it should not matter what he wears, and his tricks are precise and never sloppy.
He’s just so consistent. He makes it look so easy. That’s why he wins. He has style. It’s clean and bolts. And it never looks like he’s trying. He’s the definition of a pro.
Peeps don’t hate! Let’s be happy to see skaters like him during our lifetime!
Love watching this dude skate. So methodical
Nyjah, you are the greatest skateboarder on the planet . I've watched you for nearly a decade now. What drew me to you and your style was not only your skating ,but the fact that ... I thought you were a true Rasta person, what with your great dreads and everything. One thing though, you need to stick with what you truely believe. Dreads represents true Rastafarian in nature to the cause of why rastas wore long dreads. It's a culture, that came from the heart. You can't cut it off because you felt you need to make a change in your life. Too many young people these days use things and discard it in a flash . You are showing just that by suddenly you changing to a culture that shouldn't be your new way to describing you. You now are showing a look of rap , I think you are rapped up a little too tightly. Look at your name, Nyjah, you and I know ,if it's your parents who named you , then you should take this to your soul and treat it like an honor and wear it like it was intended. Don't abandoned it just because ,yeah, just because ! This culture of Rastafarianism isn't something you can just toss aside like an old rag doll. I dig your skating, keep it up , thanks.
So stocked to see skateboarding continue to push boundaries. Go back 5-10 years and this trick would’ve been a far fetched dream!
Definitely one of the very best to do it!!!! It gives me chills watching this guy.
His tricks are so flawless. His freestyles are fun to watch.
That's why hes my favorite.
James Lick class of 99! Watching people skate this is in middle school is what got me to get my first skateboard. Stoked you blessed the ledge with such a banger! 🙏
Above and beyond...
One of the best skateboarders of all time!
Much love from Switzerland
This contest format is awesome. ... Crushed it!!
Best I’ve seen all the respect.
he is just awesome
Nyjah Huston stops for no one. He sets his mind on something and absolutely shreds it!! ✌️🤘
Nyjah Huston, you are the GOAT of our generation. Amazing talent! Keep it up and enjoy every moment while you can! 🙌🏾 Haters can suck it.
Jamie Thomas had an absolute war at this spot, multiple trips out to it to put down an impossible to front side 50:50. Full respect to Nyjah for landing something meaningful and ultra technical and possibly breathing some new life into this spot.
Nyjah is one of the best skaters around very talented a natural he makes those tricks look so easy so way to go nyjah keep it up and keep ripping.
Congrats
Best trick I have ever seen on this spot!
He's the man. 🐐
His a legend because his always practicing and doing better.
Most talented skater of all time and it's not close. Like him or not. Nobody has ever made tricks look so effortless.
Gives me goosebumps seeing all these skaters in this contest.
Well deserved! Insane 🔥
Can't wait to see all these best tricks in a montage.
This is trick of the decade ! Insane
Nyjah is so insane, He just never stops!!!
So clean too. Greatest skater of all time.
The execution of the trick from the parallel roll up to the straight landing and roll-away was perfect!

Best in the world
Nyjah is a legend for doing that on the clipper ledge. How can you hate on his success when he’s so gnarly
That was awesome
Literally I don't know how skaters can hate on him? The fact is that he is what makes a great skater. He just puts it down!!! Hard work pays off
Key factor for Nyjah i think its his fearless. He doesnt care about the price that he has to pay. The greatest.
Consistently killing it as usual!
LEGEND🏆
Nyjah is the 🐐
Respect

This dude is something else... I can't hate on him.. the way he casually does these rails...

I feel j Thomas's tre flip 5050 done many years ago was a much much harder trick than what nyjah put down. Respect to the OGZ WHO PAVED THE WAY.
