I swear you are under rated this is by far the best how to on this controller I just bought it and have never used any other type of transmitter and was able to get everything up and going on my drone thank you sooo much
Set up NewBee Hummingbird - Dx9 - wing type use normal, 1 ail & 1 rud, otherwise Channel 6 Aux 1 becomes N/A! Then Gear use H or A. Then I used Aux 1=C, Aux 2=D etc ( not sure how that works yet)
Possibly not, due to school i havent kept up with some of the new changes, and i have switched to Frsky to most my build for long range. I would assume that pretty much everything is still relatable
Not drones but putting together a basket case Blade 400 3D and a T-REX 450SE V2. Going to try to fly these next spring (use a sim all winter) first but I’m sure a drone is next!
Raymond Gearhart great man, helis will defiantly teach You how to fly. And technically your heli is also a drone, and my drone of choose is quadcopters, multirotors, or kwads lol😂.
I currently fly a Rotorzoo Dropbear frame, but it has 2 broken arms so I'm waiting for more to be cut so I can fly again. Haven't flown for a few months except for a qx95 indoors, which is now also broken!
GA Pro An inductor on the AIO Cam/VTX blew, so I've ordered some spares in the hope I can replace it. I'm also thinking of selling most of my 5" gear and building a couple of 2" quads. Smaller and easier to fly around the house or at small Parks near home.
+pepefpv right on man, if that suits you go for it. The only reason I like a 5" is because a go pro is heavy and I also have lots of places to fly, but those 2" are just as fun
Working toward learning how to finish my DMR Shruiken 2.5in to behave as I want, something between my different motors 5000kv(2s) hellwoop and 7000kv (3S) but with weight issues I'm probably going to redo the hell whoop, get more experience with motors/frame/weight and slowly acquire dual use parts to make a proper 5in. There's the goal, but it's too fun to experiment and build. On equestion, Ive set up quads using the method you described and also with spektrums quad mode and I believe I get the same result, so i don't really see the benefit. I can use a mix on my dx6 to give me more options, but without the radio in hand, I believe I can do that either way, but still don't understand what's different.
Brendon Bonner I'm just basing this off info that I've read and used on spektrum, in many case in programing even blade products for 3d motion they suggest acro use, but my use is with a lot of older models as well. What kind of mixing are you talking about, I'm curious?
Since I also have a dx6, I use one channel to arm and another for rate profiles. The only way I've found (that I like) use other features like pids/turtle mode/etc is to mix another switch with aux2, so my 3 position switch has two mixes that make the first ange from ~1000-1500 and another from ~1500-2000... It's not exact and gets confusing, but it works for me...I don't know if there's an easier way than what I do though
Brendon Bonner there isn't, we're working with a controller that only does 6 channels, the mix will get you the most you can do with the whole controller. The only way to get more aux is to get more channels, aka get a new controller.
Yeah, I think I was making some assumption with the flap mix setting, thinking/hoping it was a different option for further adjusting the resolution on the Flap/AUX2...like an easier way to make a 3 pos switch act like it's a 6 pos switch vs using several mixes..Either way, thanks for the video, for responding and clearing up some confusion...Looking forward to your next vids!
CROSSFIRE FPV nice man, how's that flight controller treating you, I've honestly only ever run one set of racerstar motors, but I haven't heard to many good things
GA Pro na..I'm not a fan of these racerstar motors....it don't give out enough power for me..the fc is damn good..good soldering pads and nice video out..no lines or noise or anything in the video

Glad to hear
Great video and information thanks. There are controllers out there that are way less complicated
Thank you
Thank you so much for this video! It was super helpful in getting my DX6 set up for my first quad!
more vids , i am new to the hobby and you are a good teacher! thanks.
wow you helped so much and now my drone flys thank you so much
Thank you
Thank you, your are very knowledgable

do you still have to do this with the new beta flight? very informative video cheers

pepefpv that sucks man, repair time is always the worst. What kind of damages are on your qx95.

thank you. Finally a video that helped!
Thank you
I follow you on instagram and love your content I just finished a florotors swoosh swoosh build and am planning on doing another one soon.
Amiyr Ahmad thank you
This helped a LOT. Thanks!

Nice use of the mix tho, never thought of that

Finna build me a hellwhoop. Also got me a 5” Detroit multirotor x frame
Michael Norris awesome, what kind of setup is on your 5", and what is your ideal hell whoop build
I fly an armattan scx 200 and would like to build a flexrc ascent 2.5in for a micro build
Garret awesome, any ideas yet for the 2.5in. What motors did you use for the 200?
Currently building an iflight transframe, emaxx 2205 2600kv rs motors,30 amp emaxx lightning esc, lhi f4 omnibus fc.
Lloyd Campbell sounds like a nice build, why the lightning esc?
Thanks 🙏

😊😊😊😊😊😊😊great job on the video
+JustIn Hale thanks
I fly a space one 220x frame right now
Adam Laubach which version, I had the v1 as my very first 5in quad, now I'm loaning it to a friend until he can fix his.
I fly a Martian 2 with hglrc f4v5pro and racerstar motor

CROSSFIRE FPV thats good to hear I'll defiantly look in to it more. Might use it in a future build
My current build it's an armattan chameleon, you can check my build on my channel.
Salter FPV I defiantly love that frame, it was one of my first builds. I'll defiantly check it out and see what you did 👍👌
