It will be 10 or maybe 20 years before those kids realize how lucky they were to have grown up on your farm. I can only imagine how many 13 year olds will watch this and envy the youngsters operating the equipment . Great job... Cheers!
My hats off to sara she runs that machine like a pro. I don't think that I could load a truck that good under pressure. Filling a grain cart on the go from our combine is hard enough for me at times. Nice video Andy stay safe my friend!
Started watching a month ago. And I know two familie farmers and they were named games of the year l believe for Michigan. Good people. You're operation and your family should be named games of the whole USA.
what a cool video and letting your kids drive the chopper shows how good a dad you are , and if you get il one day they have a chance help you . I always let my kids drive to when they were younger , so we could have chance to go on small holydays , and they loved taking the responsibility. Have a nice day
Hey Andy, thought maybe I'd see Junior cleaning up the mess from filling the gator. Oh well there I go thinking again huh. Anyway have a great evening thanks for sharing.
Excellent footage, and your microphone *perfectly* captures that distinct Deere cutterhead whine at startup! I love it. I've often wondered about acres, tons, etc, so if I have it right you're chopping something like 30k tons of just corn silage per year? That's impressive, and your bunkers look like they should work pretty good too. I like to see so much packing capacity relative to the chopper. Good work. And anytime you have a small hauling vehicle like that Gator, you gotta fill 'er up for laughs!
Now the fun begins putting plastic and tires on it. I dont mind chopping and packing but I hate stretching plastic and putting tires on it. Bears devastated our corn last year. We chopped sorghum and sudex this year. Seems to be making pretty good silage. I'm feeding 800 cow/calf pairs. I dont have to worry about milk average just gotta put lbs on. Big dairy down the rd from me did the same thing. We are overrun with bear here in southwest va
Awesome video. I laughed pretty hard when I watched you guys fill the gator on the live stream and I laughed just as hard when I watched it again in this video. It’s important to have a little bit of fun once in a while
hey andy, very nice video .when your daughter drive the cornchopper. and the other children ride some corn with the gator to the bunk !!! by all the many work a little bit fun must be there ! nice greatings from North West Germany from Bert !
How wide is the head on the chopper. I was trying to figure out if it’s an 8 or a 12 row head? Great video loved the gator filling and the ending, watching them work from across the road that drone is pretty handy lol
just watched david wells video, shows farm in a different light (view) very, very impressive operation just fior sh#ts and giggles how many acres chopped in a day, i know field size, drive n lenght all play a part :)THANKS AGAIN
Was wondering on your addition it looks like the first 60 feet or so is lined, is the rest of the addition getting lined? Does it improve animal health, improve production? Thank you.
Do you feed every morning or do y’all have some kind of schedule that you rotate with other family members/employees? Also how many family members work on the farm?

Farming Fixing & Fabricating we can do around 40-80Acres but the fields sizes around here are around 2-20Cares it depends, lots of small fields and with a vegetation hedge around so you can’t go that fast
That’s a good size addition it’s bigger than our free stall barn was we milked 150 in Great Valley New York. Really like your channel and your not to far from where I live it’s really awesome to watch someone local
@@FarmingFixingFabricating ah okay, I'm close to the Fair oaks dairy farm in Indiana, help on silage crew here and grow corn silage for them. Just curious on ur operation thanks.

This was broadcasted before right, a couple of weeks ago I think?
Yes parts of it was in s love stream and I didn't have any other footage of it.
Farmhand Mike mentioned in his livestream a few of the channels he watches and yours was one of them.
Yes I caught that while I was watching his Livestream
Loved the video. You got alot more done with that extra truck. LOL
Can't even imagine chopping that much corn!!!
Good job Sara
Andy. New barn looks awesome. Who's pouring it.? Fox... Or kehoe? Just wondering
Fox
Grew up with kehoe and worked alot with Fox. Both awesome boys. I've been sharing this with the Vitale crew they all love the channel
You need to get some high sides made for the gator then have another go at filling it.
Well have to try that
Great video Andy.

You're spending a chunk of cash on that ranch in the last 12 months. That barn is something else!!👌👍future proof??👍

I have one more day left of chopping corn which is Thursday morning and three fields left with a fourth cutting of hay by me
Great video
loved the video andy that was fun with the gator fill, thanks for the video
Thanks for the comment
How many cows you milk? Is it a 24 hour process ? Just wondering thanks for the vids
1600
Are the hydraulics to the dump and gate plumbed together on boxes you built? What size cylinders do you use on end gates?
We run a separate valve for the gate so that it can be lifted independently. We use 2.5"x20" cylinders.
How many cylinders is the chopper? And how gallons fuel dose it take?
6 cylinder engineer holds around 350 gallons and usually we are burning around, 200 gallons a day.
Great job young lady
Nice as always Andy! Need any more corn? Lol
Thanks David..... We should be all set on corn.

The expansion is for milk cows stalls I presume. How many will that give you for a grand total
Yes milk cow stalls
He just wants to give the ones he already has more room is what he said a few videos back
How many trucks/wagons do you use total when chopping?
As many as 10

Once and awhile
How many acres can you chop per day? Do you stop 30minutes or an hour to eat and talk in the afternoon
