I had so much trouble with this, it wouldn't do it with the template model I was using, so I started from the very start, made it all within UE like you did in the video...and it worked im like great. So I made my own model, textured and imported...ran into the same issue...made a whole new one again just like before...didn't work yet the first one I did that worked..still worked...so then I attempted a bunch of things..got it semi working with the actual shape I wanted...deleted the parts id added in..and it just worked... It's lucky I still have hair lol. Big thank you!
Hey Matt, you can assign this to only work with a specific player by using the [Other Actor] pin. Drag out on that pin and then get that player name. Alternatively you can also use player tag.
That will involve a more complex array of blueprints, but the basic premise is the same. Only instead of creating an actor blueprint you create a character blueprint. Once you define the health for your character, you can make it so once the enemy's health is 0 the character is destroyed. I can make a video breakdown of the process if you'd like, just let me know.
Hey man, it's been a while. I was able to get the new video uploaded for you, see it here : ua-cam.com/video/t-o8lImvzms/v-deo.html . Video might be a little out of sync with the audio, but the information in the video is sound. Let me know if this helped at all!
Thanks man , really , you deserve more views
