Dieter Rams is a product design God - and arguably the first product designer to make household products seem desirable through their simplicity as much as their sheer innovation. But, I disagree with him when he says there's only been two companies who have made it their mission to make well designed and asethetically appealing products......what about Kenwood (1960's/70's), Sony (80's/90's).....Siemens, AEG, Miele, and more recently Dyson, Nokia, Dualit, Kitchenaid, Canon, Audi, and Philips.
You can see in his eyes how much he loves design and how proud he is of how well his work has been recieved

What a good man, he is copied extensively by apple and says its a compliment. He could have sued apple for hundred millions.
