I remember in my teens parents thought Bowie was a one strange creature when they saw album covers like Diamond Dogs, Hunky Dory and Alladinsane ! Especially when they saw him in a Christmas tv special with Bing Crosby singing Little Drummer Boy. They all thought "Why would a great singer like Bing Crosby want to have anything to do with that guy? What's his name ?We'd say "He's David Bowie mom" ! David who? The 1970s gave us so much to later remember fondly!

It’s so strange to me that the kids dancing look like they’re from some different time when you compare them with how cool the band looks. Both ends of the spectrum! I wish I was born-5 years earlier and could have been part of this time! Killer performance sounds like the album which a lot of bands can’t do. And thanks to the cameraman for finding it before he died or something because it could of been forgotten forever

Slade for me, all day long, but this guy like to be noticed, and he did a great job. But he was not the no 1. It was Nod and the boyz from Slade. Man we miss the 70's.

I remember watching the TOTP broadcast, though I think it was actually November 1972, with the album Aladdin Sane being released in early 1973.

Bowie has been my favorite singer in the 70 while I was a student in Bournemouth and later in Edinburgh .I'm 70 and I still listen to his hits .What a wonderful era !
