My husband was stationed at Fort Bragg North Carolina as equipment was coming back from Vietnam. He now has a rare form of upper extremely vascular disease. 3 different medical professionals suggested he might have been exposed to Agent orange as a possible cause after 10 years of tests and specialists finding no other cause. He has had specialist after specialist shake their heads in confusion just looking at him. So now we have an appointment with the VSO to help us file a claim. I requested him military medical records months ago but haven't received them yet. I hope someone helps us. He was declared disabled according to the SSA in 2011 and hasn't worked since. He's almost 66 now.
Hi. I waited for 10 months to receive my military medical records. (Served from 1980-1983). If you have a tracking number, check it periodically. The records center will even pick up the phone if you call them, but they can’t speed up the process for you. I hope your husband is doing well.

The VA will stall sending you the records you request then tell you they can’t find them because of the fire back in the 70’S then after a few years some records will show up on a disc that has a program that no one uses anymore you can try a politician but I had no luck with that route either. I’am sorry for the way the VA operates and hopefully you can get some sort of resolution. The consultation is you are not alone
I did Basic Training at Harmony Church FT. Benning , Georgia. Those facilities were full of asbestos tile and lead base paint. I would like to see a report about this location?
Deployed after 9/11 to K2 - Stronghold Freedom in Uzbekistan, DOD knew it was toxic but mission came first. I didn’t die at K2 but it’s been killing me slowly. I found that VA pulls our information from the DMDC, and DMDC gets our information from the DOD and our Branch of service. It’s seems information can get lost along the way. DMDC had me down as never at K2, so when VA pulled my information they keep denying my claim.

Great video! Thank you so much for putting out this information. I would be interested to know if you have ever handled a case involving toxic exposure to the military’s paint called Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC). I spray painted with this paint back in 1982 while stationed in Germany. I was not warned of its toxicity, nor provided with any protective equipment to use while painting. Because I did not use a respirator or mask, the aerosolized paint entered my nose and covered my eyelashes, eyebrows, hair, and skin. I now have respiratory problems, which I attribute to the CARC paint. (I was blowing it out of my nose into paper towels every time I painted, which lasted for several weeks.)
I will be filing my original claim this year. Based on a lot of comments I have read about the experiences other vets have had with their claims, I expect to have to fight the VA to receive compensation for my injuries.
Last year I FOIA’d the Army Research Laboratory for the contents of CARC. They provided me with the MIL-SPEC document of the version of CARC paint I used in 1982. Among a number of harmful ingredients that went into this paint, it also contained HEXAVALENT CHROMIUM.
My father Bobby J Hatcher passed Way June 8 2022 he had cancer different kinds took off him for years then he got liver and pancreas cancer they said it was connected with age and orange he was in veitnam war from 67 to 70
There was something going on at Fort Dix New Jersey coming out of the fields most of us were hospitalized for a URI infection which later developed into other health problems. Also understand agent orange was used for weed control by contractors. I reached out through a website and contacted other veterans and this has been going on for a while. In 1982 there was a URI epidemic and the basic training had to be shut down temporarily. You're a law firm do you have the stones enough to go after the government on our behalf?

Thanks for your video on Toxins and Military Bases. I'm former Navy 81-87, so I don't qualify for Pact Act due to my service dates. I was however exposed to toxins for years. NAS Pensacola was Pfas or Forever chemicals in drinking water. USS Lexington next, exposed to Asbestos working in Machinery spaces and Tric. electrical cleaner among others. AFFF exposure as well-PFAS again. We who served late 70's thru the 80's, have been conspicuously left out of Pact Act Benefits. For us, dates don't matter, but the conditions most of us suffer do matter! This is UNSAT!! Thanks for reading.

Sir is very hard to get benifit from veteran ..my husband give up ... Many many requirements ... Is old already 76 cannot remember...is stressful to ask benifit ..

You need to gather his important military information such as his DD214 and request his service records. You need VA Form 180 to make this request
Thanks for your comments. However, I do find that VSOs can be helpful in limited circumstances
If his claim has been denied, then he should hire an attorney. This is not a pleasant process and it’s easy to get discouraged. Get expert help!
