Fellow Coloradan just found your channel! I’ve got a d4 I just recently purchased as well it’s a 5T4666W. Looking forward to watching your videos on this project and getting caught up!
Watching this video 2 years after it was posted, and it's fun to see how not only how much your channel has evolved, but how much more old iron you've collected in the meantime.
Make your own i like that sometimes a need only once tool is too expensive or a cant find one anywhere to buy an the only thing to do is make one when i was about 14 my dad needed to take a door panel off his car an back then the push in pins too hold the panel on we didnt have a removal tool an back then we didnt even know about such a tool so we took a thin shank screwdriver an bent it this way an that way until we had it bent an twisted to reach in an pry the keeper off i still remember that day well it was cold an we wee on the outside im almost 70 now an i still have that bent screwdriver in my toolbox an whenever i see it the memory of that cold day bending that screwdriver in the vice with a hammer an pliers walking back an forth from the car to the vice untill we had it right comes back in my mind an i relive that precious memory your video brought back that memory once again thanks for sharing your idea of making that tool
Heck yeah, making our own tools is a thing here as well. That injector tool came out perfect. One thing I learned with my chopsaw was to scrap the fiber blade for a Diablo Metal Tooth Blade; what a difference that makes! No deflection and 100% less cleanup on the grinder, not to mention the metal stays cool, which is great and weird at the same time. Using that blade makes cutting and fitting our race car cages a breeze.
why didnt you weld the top of the socket you cut off .then you could have used a bar or rachet on it
This why I can drill it out for longer injectors.
Impact guns are great.
Good job.

My older videos are a little bit embarrassing. We've learned a lot and came a long way. 😉
