    Total number of twists: 24
    Purchased from my local BSS.
    PRODUCTS:
-Sulfur8 Medicated Anti-dandruff Hair and Scalp Conditioner
-EBIN 24hr Edge Tamer Extreme Firm Hold
-Sulfur8 Loc, Twist & Braid Gel
-Eden Bodyworks Coconut Shea Natural Hair Balm
(you can also substitute raw shea butter hair to seal your ends)
    HAIR PREP
I begin parting in the back. Since the parts for this style are bigger, I want to make sure the parts are as straight as possible. Then I apply the hair products to the section. The marley hair comes in pre-separated locs, so I take each loc and lightly separate it to fluff it, and I use 5 locs per twist.
    PARTING METHOD: Brick-layering method
    INSTALL METHOD
I'll take the section of hair for the twist and finger part it diagonally from the inner top to the outward bottom. I roll the marley hair in the middle and place it directly onto the diagonal part. Then I begin braiding my hair over the marley hair passing the sections of my hair at least 6 times. Then I combine my hair evenly with the two strands of Marley hair and rope twist to the ends of my hair.
You don't want to twist the hair too tight to where you loose the fluffiness, but you want to have enough control over the formation of the twist to keep you hair tucked and neat with the Marley hair. So I do like a medium roll while rope twisting. When I get to the ends of my hair, I add a little more edge control to keep them smooth and continue twisting. After I get past my hair, I loosen my grip and begin smoothing the marley hair with my fingers as I twist. Then I begin rope twisting again at the ends of the Marley hair to secure the twist. And that's it!!
It's giving me Marley-passion twist vibes, and it's the perfect summer or vacation style!!!
Stay tuned for part 2 where I show you how I style and accessorize these twists to give it the full boho vibe. I'll even give you a final update on the hair and let you know how these twists held up!
