- Qooqqut daytrip from Nuuk, Greenland. Qooqqut is a VERY popular cabin destination, situated 45min by motorboat away from Nuuk. Tourists as well as locals visit Qooqqut a lot during summer, as the restaurants food is amazing, scenery is breathtaking and it has an idyllic vibe and history as well.

@@AlexAmasaOlsen absolutely wonderful to get out and about on that boat! Yep just a short vacation (one week) so only really had time for Nuuk, but I had a fantastic time exploring the capital. Ever since I saw a map of the world I've always wanted to visit this special part of the world. Growing up in a country on the other side of the world (South Africa) it looked impossible to get to but I finally got there!

I dont think there would be a problem if you lived there, I mean people live in settlements of about the same people that inhabit Qooqqut during summer🙂
So I guess you can build a cabin and live there... Only prerequisite is a boat, as there is no grocery store in Qooqqut
@@AlexAmasaOlsen would you consider thinking about building one and of general stores would be better if companies invest in mini shops for locals who are in need some to invest in some?
@@mayousimon1 I will apply for a permit to build this year, so hopefully next year will be cabin construction!

Hi Alex! Do you know any cheap way to find a room to sleep in Nuuk ?
Try Facebook, the group called: Bolig søges/udlejes Nuuk/Nuussuaq/Qinngorput.
Or for short term rental Airbnb can be used.
But rooms are not cheap, just so you know😅

Det er også en luksus at have båd, men alle pengene værd når forholdene er gode og båden virker😆
