  • A tiny bang trim can make a big difference! Sometimes, a little less really is more. When you're DIY razor-cutting, remember that the key is elevation. If you end up with uneven chunks, that's your sign to lift those sections higher!
I hope this helps anyone out there planning to cut their own bangs at home. It's always best to start with small trims. I usually cut my bangs every couple of weeks-I like them long, but I still need to see!
If you're interested, I offer a DIY bang class on my website that goes into detail about different techniques, like face-framing layers and curtain bangs. It covers all sorts of hair types and situations-glasses, curly hair, baby bangs, cowlicks-you name it. You can check it out here: bit.ly/Jayne-DIYBangs
Anyway, I just wanted to connect, say hi, and let you know how much I appreciate you all. Take care, and I'll catch you in the next video!"

After having done my fringe a few times with elevation because I wanted “soft and feathery”- I held my sections lower this time and it was a game changer for my very fine, thin front hairline. I’ve been learning a lot since taking the DIY classes by experimenting and figuring out how to work specifically with my hair type and texture.
