Hi all! I'm so happy to see so many new people have found my first playthrough of Fallout 4!!!
it was my first time playing so it's been very nice to have such a helpful chat! I do ask them in a further livestream to only help or give tips when I ask for them. As long as it's not story-related spoilers I'm fine with tips and such :) it can be a bit overwhelming to play a big game for the first time but also having to tend to a live chat!!! So I'm sorry if in this and the next livestream I focus on what chat says a lot, in the third livestream it's a lot less and I try to explore and do my own thing a bit more so don't worry hehehe.

I love this approach. Reading everything is exactly how Fallout is meant to be played. That's literally all of Fallout 1 and 2.
Don't be worried about reading too much. So many people don't read and have no idea what is going on because of it. It's part of the game.
Love watching lets plays where ppl read as i often miss some texts...

@@Alexandros.Mograine The dialog of NPC's? Not really. They talk about context you are missing and could understand more fully. And some places have no NPC's to talk about and you miss it completely thinking it's just a few dead bodies with no understanding of what happened, and how it relates to the world. Unless you read their entry or papers.
It goes beyond that but I'm not going to tell her to be a detective and look at physical evidence on the ground to figure out a crime scene for her. Even though the game teaches you to do that in Diamond City.

Just FYI, whoever called agility a dump stat lied to you. But there is no level cap so you can max everything.
Hahaha yes not sure why people said that!!! Depends on the type of build you want to do in the end I guess. But all good, I've started investing my level up points in specs I like! Decided to go for a sneaky charismatic vibe!
@@BeukieGaming charisma and luck are surprisingly effective. Luck controlling crits and all. And max level ghoulish, 9 endurance perk, at max level lets you metabolize radiation. Probably the best level 50 perk choice. Your character, your call, of course.
Im glad someone caught that. She says she wants a sneak build so someone saying to not invest in agility made me think they were trying to sabotage. But fortunately this game is forgiven when it comes to leveling.

Yes I love being quite thorough and taking my time!!! it's hard sometimes with the pressure of people watching you live as obviously you need to keep it entertaining but it's important to play it the way you want to!

I think it’s silly to point that out, it’s a 2 hr video, freshly out the vault.
Don't know who said Agility is no good and sneaking doesn't happening much, but all my games run with high agility and sneaking is overpowered as an assassin type build.
Defo changed my mind after playing for a few hours, aiming to go for a stealthy / charismatic build!
@@BeukieGaming nice! Thats what I'm running right now. Also get the Blitz perk under the agility tree (gives melee in VATS extra range), allow for 🔪 people at a further distance. Can take out a whole room of enemies in one VATS sequence.
I'm so happy so many people are finding Fallout, especially first timers. Also after having seen so many streamers I really appreciate that you stopped to check your controls and read things on screen.
Absolutely nothing against first timers that are also streaming the game, there is a lot to keep track of with chat and the actual community engagement. I've just seen 8 to 10 hours of some play throughs where they are still so confused about how things work and I've also seen some people take a just a few minuets to read what's going on and have a much better time.
I just hope everyone enjoys the game, whichever entry in the series they're playing. If you've never played a Bethesda game before it can be really daunting so no worries the learning curve.

I've always gone for charisma builds, myself. It's really surprising how much easier things become when you can sweet talk your way through a problem.
But one of the first mods I added in were weapons mods. The stock weapons look absolutely horrible. But since then, I've downloaded UI overhauls, lighting overhauls, weather overhauls and more. Seriously, the modding community has shown just how much potential this game really has. But I have over 36 gigs of mods installed now.
One mod I would recommend the highest is a custom companion named Heather Casdin. Seriously, she's one of the two best companions I've ever downloaded and is insanely useful.
Some tips for hacking (see 2:05:40).
This is a big logic puzzle.
Your first try was WIRE which had zero matches so in the correct password, the first letter is not W, second is not I, third is not R and fourth is not E.
Your second try was HARD which could not work: we we know the real password does not have an R in the third position but HARD does, so HARD cannot be the correct password.
But now we know the first letter is not a W or H, the second letter is not an I or A, third letter is still not an R and fourth letter is not an E or D.
Your third try was TECH which is a good guess because none of those 4 letters are ruled out by your first two guesses.
You got two matches but you don't know which two.
So:
First might be T but is not W or H.
Second might be E but is not I or A.
Third might be C but is not R.
Fourth might be H but is not E or D.
Also, EXACTLY 2 letters must be T, E, C, or H in that order and position.
You only get 4 guesses so you have one left.
Looking at the remining words, we have:
ONCE: Nope, can't have E at fourth
KNEW: Nope, no matches to T, E, C, or H
HALF: Nope, can't have H at first
SOLD: Nope, can't have D at fourth
SOIL: Nope, no matches to T, E, C, or H
TALK: Nope, can't have A at second
BILL: Nope, can't have I at second
COME: Nope, can't have E at fourth
TELL: Bingo! We have a winner!
DOOR: Nope, no matches to T, E, C, or H
DRAW: Nope, no matches to T, E, C, or H
SAME: Nope, can't have A at second

The correct and only word visible at this point is TELL:
T and E match T, E, C, or H
No letters break the other prohibited letters.
Yes, that's a mental headache, unless you like logic puzzles.
Note: your second attempt could NOT have been correct so it was partially wasted - but it helped rule out some additional letters which helped solve the puzzle.
There are tricks to remove wrong words from the list and to refresh your "tries counter" to 0 so you can try 4 more words - but that is for another comment in a future video.
If you press Q while hovering the cursor over a weapon in the Pipboy, you can assign it to a hotkey, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.

I think of it as 3 Bethesdas.
You can carry a few hundred Bethesdas so you might be able to haul a hundred of those cans around. Or 50 rifles. Or a few hundred watermelons. Etc.

You can carry more than a horse or a camel.

So don't be afraid to grab stuff.
If you become encumbered, you can drop whatever you think you won't need.
I like how the security baton can be instantly collapsed by just pushing it in. That isn't how they work in the real world. You have to first slap it down hard once or twice, then let it fall down into the upright handle. Way more cumbersome.
There are a few game mechanics they do not tell you how you use. If you go up to a wall and strafe right or left you lean. They lets you stay in cover better. Also if you hold the activate button on something that you can not put in your inventory you might be able to pick it up... things like wooden crates and even bodies if they are not too heavy.
Fallout 4 is a crafting RPG. All that junk is used for upgrading weapons and armor or building up settlements. You can also cook food and make things in a chemistry station.
There are a few tricks for settlement building. When in the crafting mode when placing something you can not place it if it is read. Similarly if you see something that highlights yellow you can not pick it up to move it somewhere else but you can scrap it. Their are tricks like if you want to put something where it does not want you to you might place it on a small rub and then pick up both with the rug and place it anywhere the rug can fit. When placing down wires. At a conduit if you highlight the wire while the pointer is over the conduit you usually get a wire that sparks a bit and you can place it as far away as you want and even through walls. If you hit your build limit for a settlement just drop some junk armor or weapons on the ground and scrap it out. This for some reason give you more to build.
Things to know about settlements. Each settler can farm 6 food. Most plants only give you .5 food each, but the Mutfruit gives you 1 each. You need to assign a settler to the food in the build mode. You want one defense for every water and food at the settlement to lower the chance of the settlement being raided, so 10 food and 10 water will require 20 defense. A settlement beacon will attract new settlers to a settlement. Usually 2 show up right away. The max number of settlers for each settlement is your Charisma plus 10. Beds need to be under a roof to make them happy (but the roof can have holes) You can share resources between settlements if you take I think level 2 Local Leader perk and assign a settler in the build mode. Happiness is increased by have stores, decorations, or even you sleeping there. Really settlements do very little in the game.
There are mods for the game. One you should install from the main menu/mods section is the unofficial patch as it fixes a lot of bugs. I tend to stick to mods to add more options for building in settlements and for visuals only. Trees are 100x more resistant to radiation than people or animals so the place should be an overgrown jungle. I run a few green mods that adds in leaves on trees and grass and such. I also like a scrap mod so I can scrap a lot more things in settlements... even all the debris and dead leaves none of the settlers will ever clean up.
There are a lot of collectibles in the game if you like doing that stuff, from magazines and bobble heads to power armor, notes, legendary weapons, special outfits, robot models, and other unique items. There are a ton of crazy details in this game and even after 15 playthroughs I still find new stuff. It is my favorite game ever. There are many followers, something like 30 settlements, 4 main factions in the main game, dozens of smaller factions, tons of side missions, followers are romanceable and have side missions of their own. A full playthrough reading all the notes and computer terminals, building up all the settlements, and doing all the major side missions will take about 400 hours, but if you just stick to the main missions and ignore the rest you can power through in probably a few hours. Don't do that though.
Btw the bottle caps are a currency. I'm not sure how important they are, but you can buy at least some stuff with them.

Too bad people didnt mention this, but intelligence is the one you should get mot in the beginning. it helps you get more XP and thus more levels which you can use to level up the skills more and get perks.
Fallout 4 will teach you how to survive an apocalypse. Don't worry, the semi violent dark world will learn you well. Only be a bit cold and ruthless and you will survive. You will get used to the radiated crispy squirrel bits on a stick( the stick goes thru the dead squirrel 's ass and comes out thru his mouth.
You might want to have some mods in your chat. There seem to be spoilers.

DLC are Far HARBOR / NUKA WORLD /AUTOMATRON /VAULT TEC WORKSHOP
Enjoy the Lore. Read all computer terminals journal and diaries, notes. Don't be afraid to " rifle through.." a dead bodies' pockets, amen?
nice playthrough... I just bought the game and started playing it, though i am playing on survival mode where even empty bottles are values to store clean water on them for drinking and healing.. though it's frustrating to die and start all over again after hours of play 😩.

oh, looting meat from insects and mobsters is only meaningful in survival mode as you can cook them to eat them, as you get hungry and weak with debufs snd may even die of starvation .. So if not playing in survival mode save your storage space and don't pick meat and food stuff.
2:14:09 Rad-x did not remove your radiation, Rad -x does not do that, it temporarily reduces the rate at which you absorb radiation when you consume radiated food/drink or when you are in a high radiation area.

The intro of fallout 3 is more Series friendly, as you start as a vault dweller in a normal vault ( not a cryogenic one)
2:03:16 Sequin dress was not a waste, if you looked at the stats you would see it gives you a 2+ boost to charisma, very handy in some situations.

I personally would go to a vault, but would be trying to get into one of the "Control-Vaults" whom had no experiments in them (Vault 76 for Example is one!)
But how would you know if they're planning on running experiments on you? HMMM!
I thought sneaking was important. I literally got around multiple enemies without alarming them.. but that was on the hardest difficulty..
You need to pick up everything that's not nailed down. When you approach over-encumbered, you need to empty everything you collected into a workbench, then go collect the rest of the stuff that's not nailed down.

Athmospher of fallout series is extraordinarily good. With that old radio songs, you discover whole wasteland. Curiosity and many other things that waiting for you to explore is amazing. But only watching it. I couldnt umdestand many mechanics of the game and deleted it. Now ım planning to download it again. Take my advice. If you wont play for a while, you will forget everything in the game. (It happened to me in skyrim😂)

I wish I caught the original stream where you first played. You probably figured out by now that you have to collect all junk that you see to upgrade your weapons or Upgrade your armor. Do you ever plan on playing Fallout 76?

2:14:00 Don't use the Rad-X.
Here's why.
If you look at your health bar, you'll see it's almost full green, with an empty bit at the end. That's normal damage - you heal that with stimpaks or by eating and drinking (the blue water pump next to your weapons workbench is pure water, not radiated water, so it's a safe way to heal).
The red pixel at the end of your health bar is your total radiation damage.
See it?
No.
Neither do I.
That's because you took like 1 itty bitty bit of radiation damage, enough to "warn" you about it but not yet enough to even see it.
As you take more and more radiation damage, the red pixels will grow into a red line and then you'll see it.
When that red line is long, say, 1/4 of your total health bar, take a "Radaway". You don't have any yet, but you find them everywhere.
Rad-X increases your radiation RESISTANCE but it doesn't remove existing radiation damage.
"Does that mean I restored it? I'm not sure?"
Definitely not, but you increased your resistance until the drug wears off in a few minutes.
Those numbers by your feet at 2:14:14 are your resistances: Physical, Energy, Radiation.
Your Vault Suit is pretty good "underwear" that gives you a small amount of all three resistances (18, 5, 10) and your Rad-X is temporarily giving you an extra 100 Radiation resistance.
"It says radiation 110. Oh Jesus!"
Nope.
You have almost 0 radiation damage. We can't even see it.
But at least for a little while, you're very resistant to taking any more radiation damage - thanks to that Rad-X you just took.
Don't worry about wasting it, you'll find a million of them.

Ah, the good Fallout 4. Is a very pretty game, and the lore is very interesting. You can also mod it practically for everything, I have being playing it for a long time because of that😆I was very happy when I knew about the TV series
Yeah but if it's modded from Nexus mods you are giving away a lot of information. The stuff I found in packets going out from their Vortex software when watching it with wpe-pro was more than a little disturbing. Everything from twitter and facebook posts to family members to documents in my documents folder. And they ban people based on political ideas they find.
Then there are people they support like Arthmoore for the unofficial patch mods. Bethesda has banned him from their websites for good reason.
And then people wonder why they have identity theft issues after modding games with people like that behind them.
If you like Fallout 4, I recommend Fallout 3 as well.
You need to learn to use VATS if you haven't. Not sure what button on the pc. It'll be your best friend though.

@@BeukieGaming The terminal in Red Rocket is important to read. Also, the one in the Newspaper office which writes about the up coming World Series baseball game happening "this Saturday" (the day the bombs dropped). And the Terminal in the basement of Gorski's house. And its not just the Terminals that provide background info. There are also many Holotapes that supply further info such as that sad one of the pregnant runaway teenager who died alone when the bombs dropped.
Why u not using your vats? It targets them.
I use it every once in a while to check where enemies are but I don't need it to target necessarily! :)

Not sure who made the dumb advice on character creation / S.P.E.C.I.A.L. choice.. Unless she goes for a melee build, STR is a useless stat.. PER and AGI definately most important, END and INT comming next, then CHA and LCK, STR is last..

You left a lot of stuff in the vault.
You need it ALL.
Well, almost all.
Don't leave anything. Even silly coffee mugs and toasters can be used to make electronics to defend your home base and to upgrade your gear.
Stuff you cannot use you can sell to vendors to buy stuff you do want.
LOOT is KING in this game, so loot everything you can.
Make friends and bring them with you (e.g. Codsworth) and they can carry stuff too!

In addition to that great advice, all the tools that you find (wrenches, hammers and screwdrivers) should be saved for much later. Because there is one vendor who will gladly buy all your tools for 15 caps each (their normal value is 1 cap). I can't tell you where he is, or who he is. But he is not a regular vendor. There are hundreds of tools lying around the Commonwealth, so to sell them to him will make you rich in caps right away. This wealth can be used to buy better weapons and armor which can be quite expensive in some cases.
BTW the only things not worth picking up would be "burnt books" or "burnt text books". They have no value and some of them have unneeded weight. Personally I avoid picking up all sledgehammers and metal armor since they weigh too much to carry. Proper weight carrying management is one of the main challenges in this game (less so if you have a companion, or use Power Armor)

This wasn't uploaded to UA-cam. It was actually streamed on UA-cam itself :) plus I added timestamps, which allows people to click through very easily and skip parts they don't want. Don't like it don't watch it
All the important loot like typewriters and fans that are needed to upgrade weapons and armor she leaves behind. Lol

It's okay, I've gone back and looted lots of stuff after having figured out I need all this! Same with the bottlecaps. Learning process!
I have played fallout 4 since release and I'm starting again when next gen gets released. It is amazing.
I'm also looking forward to the next gen release. My only concern is if it will immediately break my current (300+) mods. Will have to wait for the reviews. And if it does, I'll just do a mod-less vanilla playthru with the next gen. Also looking forward for Fallout: London when it gets released.
