Any chance of a 1 yr update video on changing your forehand to be more like Del Potro? That was one of my favorite videos since it showed no matter what level you're at there's always improvements.
Great video. I enjoyed it. For me, I have three choices when going down the line on the running forehand: driving topspin, "Rafa", or the flat shot. I wish you could go to more detail on the technical aspects of your swings and maybe help me improve mine. That's a minor point, in general, I like these lessons on advanced tactics and technique. I think yours is the best for that. There are simply too many channels covering beginner to intermediate topics that I no longer watch anymore. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
When an opponent hits a hard DEEP ball cross court to your forehand corner, you should never go down the line FLAT on that ball. Why? Because it is difficult to change direction of such a ball. Changing direction is a low percentage play and you are compounding that risk by going FLAT. As Karue explains, this is a DEFENSIVE shot. No need to go flat on what is already a low percentage defensive shot. If you do decide to change direction, hit it with topspin.
It's good to get a glimpse of how the pros practice. The pace and power are incredible. I only play doubles and the forehand down-the-line shot is my favorite but I cannot do the high loopy shots like you consistently (mine is 50-50 at best). I do not have such a practice partner. Should I get a ball machine?
Great instruction Karue, this lesson could be game changing……turning defence to offence or at least getting neutral is something i am working on so really appreciate this
Hey Karue, great video. For me I have a problem not with the heavy ball but attacking and flattening out shorter ones, can you go into depth about this in a future video?
Have you read Sharapova's book ? It's interesting to see that she was trained to avoid top spin at all costs and to promote flat powerful shots, even if it's riskier. I also saw a pro players who never really defends, only flat shots, ball taken early, no real defense.
Thanks for making these! Feel like you could coach the next Mats Wilander to some more French Open championships with this shot. :) Not so easy to deal with. Seems like it's good for return of serve at times as well.
Is it better to take some pace of the ball the going high heavy? It looks like a slower shot. Thanks for your great videos So I'm editing my comment because a few minutes later you say pace isn't necessarily important.
I like both videos, thanks a lot! The tennis player I'm trying to beat is one hander but has a very solid slice, even with high balls, and as he gets them righ, I struggle a lot getting his slide up. (but not that up so he doesn't attack)
Hi Karue love the drills and the tactical idea behind it. I use it too a lot in my game. Same as you I'm very comfortable playing backhand rallies. Know I can beat most opponents in those rallies. But for people who prefer the forehand, would you suggest the same idea: changing direction with the backhand. So in a cross backhand rally, playing this high ball down the line with the backhand to change the pattern and get into a forehand rally? I mean of course on a higher level that's common bit from what level would you suggest it to incorporate in training students?
This is a tool in the toolbox. However, by no means should you be hitting a high bouncing(slower) ball down the line regularly. I think you can easily see even in this video how this shot puts the player in a bad position for the next ball.
Don't like that running down the line shot - trying to aim at a corner while running sideways is too low %. Sure if you can get there in time to stop and project your body/weight in the direction you want the ball to go it's fine, if not you'll spray too many out wide, high defensive even more so as the wind can catch it.
Been waiting for part 2 all week
Gustavo is a pretty good player!
Really good*

5:50 yeah Karue, the "result oriented" drills work well for me. Targets etc, and then it's my job to figure out how to do it.
Great video Karue! Just worked on my heavy neutral ball today with my coach. Love seeing some ways I can apply this new tool I'm developing.
Thanks, Ale from San Juan Argentina
I just added this last night to my practice session. It’s so useful. Ty for this.
Thanks Karue. Really a good tips for me to improve my singles game..
Thx man I needed an example of how low I should go on lower balls that are down the line
Another great video and I liked how you kept In the points you didn’t win too! Feeder was a good hitter for sure
Thank you very much for the great instruction.keep up the good work and Always looking forward for your Next Video.
thank you. im using all this education in VR tennis and beating many seasoned and younger real tennis players from around the world.

did you end up getting a ball machine?

Great video Karue, keep going with this kind of content.
Awesome Karue, !
Thanks Karue

Damn brother, your videos keep getting better all the time. Thanks man!
thank you!
I love this masterclass!💪🎾
Tomorrow I’ll try, but is this a recommended shot against left hand opponent ?
Not as much so against lefties. This is a shot where you want to find the backhand
@@KaruesellHQ that's what i thought. 💪🎾

Weird question, Karue. What are your shorts and where can I get some??
I’m really curious what racquet Karue uses!
How to decide whether to end the follow through over the right or left shoulder?
top video!
Anyone knows what grip does Karue use? Semi Western? Appreciate any help!
sumi western
do you like to defend the backhand this way too? pulled out wide and hit a high backhand down the line
I need to know that opening cinematic song name. Great video.
What strings do you use currently?
Can you explain how to control the racket face on the forehand, mine will open up at or near contact and the ball sails 2-3 ft long.

Are you using the V Core 95 in this video
yes

I use this all the time just to make people uncomfortable with high backhands too. Gets you a short ball sometimes. I dig it.

then don’t hit it
