DLC ADVICE: Which DLC Do I need? Don't buy any DLC without seeing the below. "Do I need Shadows of Change?" Absolutely not! Yes, Tzeentch is notably stronger with this DLC and you gain the Blue Scribes and Tzangors but none of this is critical for a strong campaign. You get an Exalted Hero from confederating the minor faction and this Hero is a luxury, not necessity. The Mutalith is epic but not needed. If you are a Tzeentch lover like me and interested in the Changeling, then SoC is a good purchase. If you're stopping in just for Kairos then I'd advise holding off or doing some research into the other Lords in the DLC before purchasing as it's not needed to dominate this campaign, simply enrich it. "Do I need Champions of Chaos?" Conversely, I would argue the Champions of Chaos is the big game changer. It provides the Chaos Warrior units which provide unrivaled lineholding in the early/mid-game, and are still an affordable front later on. Chosen with Halberds on the flanks will butcher any flanking. Sorcerers are an amazing minor lord who's magic can save a capital rebellion. Choose wisely and feel free to ask in our Discord for any advice!
Thanks a lot for this guide! Playing Tzeentch is so different with the new cults. Also the cults open up a lot more potential for fun campaigns. In my last campaign, I send my inital cultist straight to southern Cathay where Gelt has his spawn location. That was way more fun than fighting Lizardmen for 50 turns.
Thanks, the new cults seem super fun, I didn't realize they changed it so much. These small pacthes they do to update old factions are great. They keep the game fresh.
Amazing such an apparently minor change completely enhances the immersion. Cults should be a huge part of the daemon's reach and the rework really makes them feel as important as your holdings. Pretty cool that spreading corruption and the word of chaos is now a goal instead of a novelty.
Worked perfectly. In my experience, Sarthorael normally dies on turn 3 or 4 so I'm never able to get him. Literally playing right now and I've just confederated him at the top of turn 4 - just like in your guide. Thank you so much! Kairos is already on of my favorite factions, and this guide just made it even better.
Really lovely to have such a strategic guide for a faction with so many options. I have a started campaign still a week or two old where I kill Teclis in turn 2, his faction in turn 4 and confederate Sarthoreal in turn 4 too. It was hard, but possible. But I see you just kept Teclis alive. So entirely different in play style!
I actually made this guide because some viewers (correctly) pointed out the T4 confed stopped working due to AI changes. I went to make a new video and got carried away lol
Thx, it was difficult at first but I tried a few more times so I could play it similar to this guide! After finishing our Chameleon friend, the next was really easy and fun
hei elven im really gratefull for your content and the amount of love you put in there its beautiful. thank you alot and please more of the 10 perfect turns!!!
@@ElvenPlotArmour always for good and with love made content! If i might ask you a question how do i plan my campaing i partially get lost in them when i come to turn 20 or 30 and then i restart any tipps?
some of your 20 tips were cut out, and I'm rewatching bits now, but if you put in all you meant to for acquiring the changeling confed I'd appreciate some sort of timestamp. otherwise unfortunately I believe this may have been cut out as well. Very glad for this video, I appreciate it and the tzeentch vids in the past!
To explain this: there is no 100% guaranteed way to 'discover' the changeling. This is the hard part - revealing terrain to find the Empire faction who wiped him is the hard part. After this just join the war against him, peace out for alliance, generous gift and wait for your +Tzeentch Relations followers to get you to a confed.
@@ElvenPlotArmour That's a geat idea. I had assumed that finding a cult through settlement trading would work, but nope. The minor ogre faction was still alive and at war with them, though.
Worked great - added a few little twists of my own, and still worked fantastic. New cults change this faction so much for the better! I went down the magic line pretty hard early, I was able to easily repeat with the need for fewer troops because of that. With fewer troops upkeep wasn't an issue. In fact, after running back to finish the last Slaanash settlement then jumping right into nearby high elves, I had plenty of gold to upgrade main settlement to tier 4 and begin getting the higher tier troops right after. Having gone down the magic line, rest of campaign / lizards is much easier now and should be able to steamroll rest of campaign w/o much difficulty. Seiges are a breeze now with all the magic line complete. Overall awesome, makes it way easier and really appreciate the time you put into this :)
So glad it worked out. I typically expect people to deviate and add their own spice to it. My first run I went down the magic line too (it's a great idea). I found the Fire spells were enough to win all the early to mid battles and more wanted to ensure viewers would be able to afford the Magnus Expansions and Chaging abilities, hence the campaign line. Additionally, I did find the reduced upkeep helped in affording the upgrades needed to rush the Legendary Heroes. All the modifications you make are very sound and I think will fit a lot of player's preferences too, particularly if you want to take it to Teclis sooner which will provide the loot and XP to make up for the above expenses. Great advice - Thanks for sharing!
Hello there! Fantastic guide! Thanks a lot! Do you recommend switching sorcerer lord to demon prince? Are you considering making an army guide for Tzeentch?

Kairos is a tough one and I've been playing this a few times lately. Difficult because you want to rush oxyotl but can't ignore slaanesh plus it takes so long to get from one side of continent to the other
Straight up honest answer: once the greenskin DLC comes out I'll cover him. My style of video is among the most time consuming so I time them after content releases so they don't date quickly. Another reason I don't base my strats around exploits or things I assume will be patched. But yes - Da video will come
* Use your lord of change to dive onto the walls and jump out of combat while the shield recovers (as seen in the video) you can slowly but surely win an entire siege with this * Break through the gate and use pink fire and searing doom on the crowded entrance. * take the walls and fire in with your horrors. Easy formations: 6 Pink Horrors and 6 Chaos Warriors (Shields) is a key core I commonly use. In the mid game use Exalted horrors. Later on get 1 choosen with Halberd on each flank. On the flanks have a unit on each side. Start off with screamers if nothing else, but get Cockatrice if possible (they route instead of banish). Later on replace these with Lords of Change. Exalted Flaner, you only need 1. Keep in the back line and move forward to snipe heroes. Have 1-2 normal flamers in between warriors in the front line (as seen in the video). Happy hunting, general.
One way to deal with Slaanesh to the east is to sell them the adjacent settlement in your starting province for diplomatic deals like an alliance, then use Changing of the Ways to transfer it back to you.
I did consider and try this one, but the economy from taking the territory really helps and as an ally he really is a potato. I actually really wanted the alliance to be the key method but after testing it clearly wasn't.
The changeling will ALWAYS get "killed off" by Turn 20. Still he will remain at war with whoever defeated him, even with all cults destroyed, with no balance of power. This is why the strategy is use the Reveal Shroud ability to discover the Empire factions and find the cultprit and introduce yourself by declaring war against him, Peace out + Alliance, Generous Gift or 2 to speed things up with your Tzeentch Relation followers equipped. See the Critical Tips to see this in action.
Given that there wasn't enough time to rush the recommended cult building on turn 4 (Dark God's Choice), I'd suggest going with the cult building that gives 50% hero success chance within the province instead (Complex Stratagems). In addition, I massively disagree with the choice to get the Scrolls of Destiny on Kairos over global public order. Three Grims per turn is extremely low impact by comparison.
Some good points, always good to see alternate strategies. It is worth noting this was the only run where I didn't get to complete the cult, and I could have completed it but I chose the soul grinder for the lolz. 3 Grims per turn does sound very low, but I did 4 solid tests on this campaign and the risk of running out just leaves changing abilities on the table. I'm not disagreeing that the PO boost could be better, but when doing these walkthroughs there's nothing worse than risking someone running out of a key resource and losing the momentum of the run so I go for the guaranteed path. This is really flexible faction and I literally kept rewriting this run from new ideas coming up. There's surely many more so thanks for sharing yours!
Confederate Turn 5? It's important you avoid loses in your battles as lower army numbers will weaken your perceived might, thus lowering their willingness to join you.
Absolutely not! Yes, Tzeentch is notably stronger with this DLC and you gain the Blue Scribes and Tzangors but none of this is critical for a strong campaign.
