Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats lurking beyond the sand path.

@@danieldickson8591 and what waiting with its superior speed to throw a birthday party admit it makes as much sense as sandra bullock somehow guiding a magical canoe miles down rough water to safety like some kind of movie magic character... hollywood sucks at coming up with a new idea because theyd rather spend money of shit they thing is profitable like an ignorant child that whats more cookies but has nothing to offer for sed cookies and throughs a tantrum aka stock and peoples lives

What could she do?? If her mom and her baby sibling were attacked, they would be dead in second and she couldn't save them. At least she can save herself

@@ericx6969 if it was that they should be able to find them instantly when they start making there weird alien noises though
echolocation, the sound is how they see. just like bats. they would need a direct line of sight AND sound to find you though, which sort of "paints a picture" of the area. if you hide behind things and make no sound, it cannot find you. Their original planet was pitch black darkness.
@@flowmastaflam You are aware that bats aren't blind though right? They have eyes and they very much work. Bats use echo location in conjunction with their eyes to navigate in dark areas as like most mammals they have poor night vision. This is some stupid non scientific shit that got perpetuated and now everyone thinks bats are blind and solely navigate through echo location. There may be a species or two of bat that is blind but most of them have working eyes.
@@marikasdaughter6263 I think everyone knows bats have eyes. The point of using a well known example is to explain how these monsters see using echolocation.

Yes, but that was bc in the first the the little girl put her hearing aid next to the speaker. Since the family was traveling, they had nothing to accelerate the sound with.

I've not seen the movies, but if the creatures are blind how do they avoid obstacles just moving about?
They mostly crash around blind breaking everything along the way
talk about plot armor the main characters make so much noise running but make it the the capsule but in the first the youngests toy makes noise and is instantly gone (ya they were being hunted) but that would have ever stopped

That hiding place, why not take the glass out so you dont have to worry about oxygen? And if noise attracts them surely when that creature is smashing its way through all the metal pipes and junk, wouldnt that attract heaps more? This movie was pretty lame tbh

Sure it would attract more. But they can't teleport, they have to physically get there from wherever they were. By the time they do, if there are no sounds indicating prey around, eventually they should move on.
