I really liked this video and the new camera is a big upgrade in the video department! I don't see how Natalie hand holds it so long. And your editing skills are getting pro! Well done guys and Frohe Weihnachten!

Really enjoyed the video - but honestly so impressed with Nat's German language skills!! I don't know any German, but to me it sounded really legit. Does she have prior experience with the language???
Love this video so much. Why don’t we have Christmas markets in America like this lol. It’s so interesting to watch Nat speak German you do such a great job!!
Such a magical place!! I love how y’all always try to be so positive and make the best of things but also keep it real when it comes to recommendations. Thank you for another year of great travel videos and blogs!! Merry Christmas!!
Just watched in preparation for our 2024 Christmas Market tour. I must say your Blog is incredible. The issue is so many times it is literally lost in translation. Thank you for putting the actual German names. Great job.
as a german living in cologne it was so fun seeing the christmas markets through your eyes 😄 personally I'm not THAT much of a fan of the cologne markets because they are way too crowded but you make it seem so fun ♥ you need to visit some castle christmas markets in germany. they are always so beautiful!
My family and I enjoyed your 2023 Christmas visit to Cologne Germany. Is it very expensive for a family of 3 adults to visit during the Christmas season. It’s something we really pray to be able to visit. Thank you for your video. Grazie mille ♥️♥️♥️
Halloween just ended, was in the mood for Europe christmas markets and i found you guys!! Your both So adorable!!! Whats nice is your showing some of the booth merch. No other vloggers do that! 🎄
Thank you, great video! The people in Cologne know how to party - not only in carnival times. Good German prononciation! FYI: a Heinzel Männchen is a little gnome who helps you with your work (brownie).
Loved y’all’s video! I have been to all but two of the 6! Twice! Never taken the holiday train…always wondered about it, thanks for sharing! From a southern girl living in Germany!
Great vlog. Loved seeing all these Christmas markets. Living vicariously through you both. Can’t wait to see what’s coming up in 2024. Do you ever keep any of those mugs they are adorable.
8:12 in Germany you only say "Prost" when drinking beverages like beer or wine! Having food you just say "Guten Appetit" which literally means "good appetite" or "bon appetit" or "enjoy your meal".
The Früh Kölsch Brewery wasnt that far away from you Guys. And sadly you didn’t get Backfish it’s fried Fish looks similar to a fried Schnitzel.it’s amazing 😊
Great video! Our families will be doing Christmas markets in a few years when school and jobs allow more travel time! Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas y’all!
Hi you two! Another amazing vlog, and what better way to end the year than with The Adventures of Matt and Nat! Love you guys and hope you have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a safe and blessed New Year my friends. It has been such a blessing having you in our lives.🙏✈🤗☕🥂
My husband and I are planning our vacay to Ireland. We just learned of you yesterday and think u 2 are Precious(we obviously live in the South too🤪😉) Your increased excitement about Galway & all the “Really Nice People”- after you had some beer and your Baby Guinness… made us giggle! Thanks for a great video
Thanks for taking us along through the markets with you! Nat- thanks for sharing the truth about hat hair. Lol! 😂😂 I tell my husband all the time, “if I wear a hat, I must commit to it ALL day. Because there’s no going back once it goes on my head” 😂 It’s always flat as can be at the end of the day. #curlyhairproblems #hathair #alldaywear Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🥰
Looks soooo beautiful!! For sure a bucket list item minus the terror train. Matt trying to get the hot chocolate and Nat the hat head 😂 so good and the photo bomb creeper behind you 😅 thanks for the mini trip to Germany guys!! ❤️❤️❤️ your serenade at the end was the best!!!
The market at the Cathredal is named the "international" market, cause you can eat and find things and food from around the world. You pronounce of german is great! I think you are german or you learned it very well! The "Schokoladenbahn" drives the hole year between the Zoo and the Cathedral terasse and or the Schokoladenmuseum. The Ferris wheel stays the half of the year at the Zoo or at the Schokoladenmuseum. The angels on the market are guides to help you for anything. The sixth market is a satlitemarket of the big one. You say that the Heinzel Market was your favorit, on this market the most shops have handcrafted things. At the side of the Dom their is a fountain with this theme! The fairy tale of it: Die Heinzelmännchen von Köln/ The Heinzelmännchen/Gnoms of Cologne Many years ago, it is said, there was a small folk in Cologne, also known as „Heinzelmännchen“. This very special kind of household spirits did the leftover work of the people. Secretly at night, when everyone was asleep, they did their work because they wanted to remain anonymous. The citizens gratefully accepted this help. So their worries were forgotten and they could go to bed in the evening with peace of mind. One day, however, the tailor's wife played a devious trick on the elves in order to see the creatures, because their curiosity was great. Towards midnight, when the elves turned up to do their work, there was a loud bang and shouting in the tailor's shop. The tailor's wife had distributed peas on the stairs and now the Heinzelmännchen tumbled down the stairs one after the other and stayed at the foot of the stairs. Quite to the laughter of the woman, because she saw the little house spirits and fell into a sneering mockery. The Heinzelmännchen sadly made off into the dark night and disappeared forever. The next morning, when the citizens of Cologne woke up, the work that had been left was not done and from then on the people had to do their work alone again! At the Cathedral, downstairs at the „Früh Brauhaus“ is a big fountain with this theme! As a Cologne citizen it was fun to watch your tour about our Christmas Markets!
YOU GUYS are the best!! We loved this Christmas markets video!! Y’all are so fun!! 🤣 Hey Matt, what kind of clip do you have on your camera? I like how you have it clipped up on your bag strap/chest like that. Seems more protected than slung around your side/hip like I usually do. Do you like it clipped up like that?
Just found your channel. Thanks to you we are going to Cologne for Christmas 2024. You are both the cutest couple . We have really enjoyed your video. Could you tell us where you stayed in Cologne?
Aw… Thank you so much!😊 That’s so awesome that y’all are headed to Cologne this Christmas! We stayed at the Wyndham Koeln and it was good enough for what we needed… Clean, affordable, and close to everything! If you check out our blog, we have more recommendations there… www.adventuresofmattandnat.com/post/cologne-christmas-market-travel-guide-the-6-best-christmas-markets-in-cologne Thanks so much for watching! We hope y’all have a great time in Cologne!
Our family was stationed in Germany in the 80's and one of the most memorable things was the Christmas Market! That nosy person peeking around your shoulder in the bloopers.... omg who does that? LOL
We’ve been to Germany Christmas Markets in 2006, but we went to Munich, Karlsruhe, Wurtzberg, and Nuremberg. Looks like the ones in Cologne were better. It was so cold when we went, we hit the gluevein booth at every market we went to.
Ahhh we’ve been to the Munich & Nuremberg ones last year! Should we not check out the others?! The Cologne ones were huge!!! Way bigger than the other 2 we’ve been to!! Highly recommend checking it out! Hahaha that’s us as well! When we were at the Munich one, it was freezing rains/sleet & we couldn’t get warm no matter how many Glühweins we drank! Hahaha
As far as clothing, here's pretty much what we packed... tinyurl.com/4rr6z3u2 The only additional clothing item not on that list is black jeans. Hope that helps! And thanks for watching!😊
@@xXMrMeXx oh so fun! Oh no, y’all will be good! Just download Google Translate & the languages you'll need & you'll be all set! Hope you have the best time!
Wow, that was funny and entertaining. But let's be honest: How did you come up with the idea of presenting Cologne's Christmas markets of all places? They are rather insignificant in Germany. No question: the best known and largest is the "Nürnberg Christmas Market". Equally well-known, beautiful and traditional is the "Dresden Striezelmarkt" - which is also Germany's oldest (over 500 years old). One of the newer and most beautiful is the Hamburg Christmas market on the town hall square of the "Circus Roncalli" and all the many smaller markets directly around it. If you ever come to Germany again, visit Hamburg, which is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, the most popular tourist destination in Germany and the third largest musical city in the world. Let me know and I'll show you around "The Gateway to the World" - Hamburg's nickname. By the way: Nat, your German is great, charming and adorable at the same time! All the best to you, have a great 2024 und I can wait to visit Nashville in the next time. Thanks for all your great, awesome videos and for the great tips, information and recommendations, as well, Jens
