I really like deathbringer, it's a shame that i preferred the early rework of frost than what we ended up with though. I was not a fan of the changes that came at the end. Aside the removal of stacking strength which i was ambivalent towards. Honestly, they should have just kept icecap as it was and make a choice node for it, in fact the strength stacking could have been a good node to pit it up against. A really powerful 1 min cd, or pillar every 30 seconds or so. The change to murderous efficiency also literally solved nothing. In actuality there were two possible solutions. One was to destroy resource generation and significantly lower km procs, which honestly making the spec less fun for the sake of solving an issue isn't a good tradeoff. The second solution would have been to increase the max rp cap to around 150 and make frost strike/advance consume up to double the runic power, way stronger RP spenders, good feedback with empowerment to avoid periods where you don't have runes to spend for obliteration, less rp waste. Just reducing me did nothing. It was a worthless change they might as well have left it at 50, which they should have. It's still fun though, and definitely has a good damage profile for m+
yeah I think the reason they just decided to completely remove the CDR/Stacking strength in pillar was to get rid of the obnoxious amounts of uptime that frost needed to do to be competitive, has any sort of downtime was HORRENDOUS for the spec, and while its still can be a bit rough it was 100x worse in the DF iteration Also they had a period of the beta where Frost Strike worked like Ferocious Bite and consumed more RP to do more damage but apparently people really disliked the overall gameplay and it slowed the spec down a lot so they decided to get rid of that as well In general, my biggest issues with Frost atm are just the massive rng swings you can have sometimes (mainly a Deathbringer culprit) but Deathbringer is still a lot of fun and I definitely prefer it over Rider
@@TemprTV i tried the frost strike thing, there was no downtime, people just said it's a "bandaid solution" but it actually worked, unlike making me 25% instead of 50. I'm gonna be totally upfront also, honestly, every spec at this point requires significant uptime in order to actually do damage, gameplay shouldn't be held hostage because of this. All specs at this point have procs or CDR/cde or both, many of the specs that feel best to play have a mix of these mechanics

depends, if you're hitting a target dummy then anywhere between 25-30s inside a raid with full buffs, lust and everything you should be around 35-50s depending on rng

I wouldnt say breath is far superior compared to shattered frost until probably the 12+ key range, before that they are pretty even and the lower you go, shattered is definitely better
When would you swap to breath, what key level? Even in +6 keys it feels so awkward having a Pala or Warrior in the group that just bursts through all of it.
really depends on your groups damage, you can probably get away with it on average in 10+ though. I've only started playing it in 11s or higher now though

Razorice is only used if you spec in Shattered frost and shattering blade. otherwise its Stoneskin and fallen crusader. Ive just tried this build and it mega slaps!!!
You’re also gonna be looking at 90 second damage windows rather than every 45 seconds like the deathbringer build. In riders, your big pumper dam comes from frostwyrm’s fury because it spawns all of your riders at once, and then you send pillar as well during that. I think the riders build technically sims higher, but in my experience I just feel like deathbringer is a bit more practical in like the +5 +6 key range. You’re getting huge burst in pretty much every other pack.
riders is easier and less rng, I'm personally not really a big fan of riders. as for runeforges you use razorice main hand and fallen crusader off hand for Shattered Frost builds, for all other builds atm you use Stoneskin Gargoyle and Fallen Crusader
When you’re in the breath window you only really want to hit the rime proc on HB if you’re high on runic power. Open with remorseless winter and abomb limb if you have it, drop down dnd for the haste, reapers mark and one oblit then do a macro that uses empower rune weapon, pillar and breath. Spam oblit like a mad man.
I just have breath and pillar macrod together with separate binds for pillar and other cds. you dont want to macro ERW with it because ideally you want to hold it for a few seconds before using it during your breath
nice lets go ! just rerolled frost dk since my fury might get another nerf :) love the plater alrdy subbed and got the atrocity ui aswell , but i wonder why u have so many sound alerts like " Jump 3 times at around 2:35 i think" and the sound alerts whenever an enemy ist casting something , i have atrocity UI aswell since i subbed him but i dont have all those sound :(

Frost might get another nerf as well haha. More chances of that than fury, actually. Fury is great for bosses with adds, but tanks on st. Frost and unholy are close to the best for either fight type.
But you have to say that the boy is a brutally good team, the heal is op and the tank of course you can then drive the DMG. In my opinion it's not an art, rather the heal/tank should be praised
It’s a balance of everything, healing dps who doesn’t use their utility is the biggest pain imo. So when everyone does their job it’s mostly smooth sailing
I think horseman oblit has started creeping up. Not bursty like reapers mark, but pretty consistent from the keys I've ran with it. Feels less bad about "wasting" pillar and reaper on low/medium packs and such as well. But that's just imo and what's ive seen semi recently

fdk does not destroy other specs on dmg, plenty of classes that can do similar , possibly superior dmg, assa rogue, ele shaman to name a few. the thing that really sets dk apart as op is how god damn tanky they are, no other class comes close. i mean i can stand in a green circle on a +10 tre'dova with no def cd popped and not die. meanwhile AMS on a 40s cd pre-immunes many extremely dangerous abilities will of the necropolis on a dps spec is just unfair

Not really. U still need 4pc, and some skill 4 that. This isn't no-brain rpala / fwar gameplay. U have strong sindragosa cooldown, but in breath downtime u are not dealing that much. Fwar / rpala give u much more stable dps on shorter cooldowns. +W/out ur mar + pillar u don't have any dps. At all.

I don't hae his experience, but as you see him play he can maintain breath for more than 30 seconds, i'd say change when packs are living that long

You need high crit. As close to 30% as possible

@Onlytheclouds you want to offset rune weapon until you need it not immediately when you start breath. This prolongs breath uptime

The sound you hear is from his trinket weakaura most likely

Reaper is up every pack ? Only 45 sec cd. Just don’t use it if mobs are low then.
