- “Everything Happens To Me” written by Tom Adair and Matt Dennis in 1940
& first recorded by the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra featuring Frank Sinatra, was recorded by again by Sinatra on April 4, 1956, accompanied by the Hollywood String Quartet for his 1957 Capitol album, Close to You, arranged by Nelson Riddle. When the expanded album was released on CD, it was retitled Close to You and More.
Beautifully sung but what a sad song! 🙌
I think we always have to keep faith for the good!
Fantastic vocal performance by Sinatra! His voice sounds so gorgeous and rich! At his prime!
I miss you Frank.
Thanks for posting this superlative recording of the Matt Dennis-Tom Adair classic by Frank, including the beautiful verse! Keep up the great work, catman!
Good to know that I am not the only one….thanks Frank😂!
Have a great day!
It sounded almost tongue in cheek with an Eyeore vibe, until he sung about matters of the heart. It reminds me of its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. It also was a good reminder to be careful what you focus on. While I adore old blue eyes, I’m not a fan of this particular song. Too much despair for my liking. Thanks for your effort and sharing though! Much appreciated.
It's all funny now
Claudia de la Cruz 2024!
Since this is now a political endorsement comments section. 🤣🤣
Frank's song was too bluesy so I spiced it up a bit. I think his best blues track was Don't Go Away Mad, a tongue in cheek swinger. ♥️
Watch out! For guys that wear fedora's...🤣
Trump
Troll. Lol.
