I know this is an older video, but..... I am absolutely obsessed with your channel. I have never worked with miniatures. I had never seen a video about it either. Until, one day, one of your videos was in my suggested list. So I watched. Now, I have watched almost all your videos! You are so incredibly talented. I never knew that miniatures was such an art! And you are an amazing teacher! So, I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for sharing this beautiful art that you do!! I can't wait to see more!
Thank you so much Sara!! That means so much to me! It makes me so happy to hear that my videos are getting the wonder of miniatures out into the world ;)
11.50 - we in the UK would call thst a Welsh dresser - definitely a Kitchen item to hold plates and other crockey on shelves. I've been watching these video for a few moths now and am thinking of starting up a new hobby. I have access to a laser cutter, plotter cutter and various tech. gadgets due to my job, so could really have a go at making some items, but time... oh dear. Its so tempting.
Woo hoo!! Really looking forward to seeing more of the Addams family mansion and the coffee shop. I think they are my favourite things on you tube. Hope you and your family have a wonderful christmas. See you next year :)
wishing you and your family a safe and happy holiday season. Thank you for all the tutorials and inspiration that you have given me this past year, your enthusiasm has been a blessing. bring on 2019.
Oooo, so many possibilities in that haul. I am really looking forward to participating in both the charity projects and the prompts. Glad to have found you and the other miniaturists you have worked with. Helped me to focus on why I started with polymer clay in the first place. I just love miniatures! Enjoy the holidays with friends and family and I will 'see you next year'!🎄🎉
Thank you so much Teresa! I am looking forward to them as well and I love seeing people get involved in the channel. It makes it way more fun for me too! 💖😊
Great haul Ara, I'm sure you'll do FAB things with it. Glad the gloss is coming off, gloss on minis gives me the hee-bees. It just draws attention to all of those bits that needed extra work on a miniature in the first place (like OOS wood grain, rough balsa wood texture & OOS thickness of materials etc) - great plan. So excited for next year - Woohooooo!
The third wooden piece in that last group, the one you said would be a nice china cabinet or hutch is called an Irish dresser. I'm making a 1/6 scale one.
Thanks for sharing your haul! I like how you can look at objects and see their potential, it's inspirational and encourages me to not overlook things I originally see no value in. Happy holidays, I'm looking forward to your projects in the new year!
So glad you enjoyed the video and happy holidays to you! I love to upcycle things and give it new life💕 There is a delicate balance between keeping "everything" because it might be useful and keeping only things that will actually be helpful... I am still finding that balance!
I love random furniture lots - I found some good ones on Etsy for $20 - $40. I buy them for 1 or 2 specific pieces that I'd pay $20ish individually and get some things that work for my house as well. And anything I don't want, I offer up on the mini swap community I belong to. I'm going to have to look into MiniSAM
Merry Christmas to you and your family! Enjoyed the video as always. Cant wait until your next video in the upcoming new year. The stained rug would work for the Addams family house. If I may make a suggestion...definitely take the rugs out of their plastic bags...it can cause dry rot in some fabrics faster than you'd realize. 😊🎅💗🤶
Merry Christmas! Great suggestion... thank you! I will get them out this evening and find a flat storage place for them. I had not even thought of that. I thought the same thing... it would be a great Addams rug!
I have that jig! I never thought of a bed frame.... I can't wait to try it out! Happy New Year! You can use the jig for light fixtures & chandeliers. A rusty one in your coffee shop would look good.
I Got a peg board when i was 15, to make jewlery, looks just like yours. so fun to see that, and now i have to locate mine, that would be fun to play with again :)
Merry Christmas. I am so excited to hear about you working with charity for miniatures. I have been wanting to do this, and have asked so many people where I could do this. Love your channel, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Sherry Gardner
Further, it seems like an Irish dainty thing for the wife on washing day maybe, they were big on laundry, but then there's almost a wedgewood quality to it...i hope you find out.
That kitchen hutch is awesome! I laughed at the tape on the drawer of that other piece - I am looking for a missing window pane of my double window - where is it? In the ether?? 😁
I bought some plastic dollhouse furniture. Thinking that I could re do them so that they look like wood. Or just add other texture to them. Have you done anything like this on one of your shows, if so can you direct me to the correct one. Or if you have any ideas. Thanks Marsha
The only video I can think of that has me working with plastic furniture is this one: ua-cam.com/video/Yp9Q7kZN_eU/v-deo.html It's mostly just me repairing them but it might be helpful?
Love your enthusiasm for all of your ideas! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I love the 95 mini prompts (is it like the 95 Theses?) and I can't wait to get started on them with you 😺
Thank you so much for your kind words! I think it will be a lot of fun for everyone :) Lol the 95 came about because I ran out of pages at the 95th prompt ;)
Hi Carol and welcome to my channel! There are several websites that sell dollhouse furniture but if you plan to make your own feel free to watch a few of my videos here. On my home page I also have links to other mini youtube channels that could be helpful.
Thank you! I am sorry I do not remember but it was several different sizes of wires, The outside wires were thicker to support the frame and then the smaller details were made with a thinner wire ;)
hi there I am new to your channel I only just found your channel I have 3 dolls houses I am in the stage off doing them up in different wall paper and redoing them, its going to be a long time to finish
It may not matter now but the Angel on the cushion was a 1960-70s pincushion. Binging your older videos!

Thank you Joanne! I agree... the gloss just screams "I'm dollhouse furniture!" Creating a more dulled finish always boosts the realism of a piece ;)

Thank you for letting me know what its called!😊
What a great loot!!!! Big hug and merry Christmas!!!!
Big hug to you too Mariza! And Merry Christmas!

I haven't made anything except the bed frame but I really like the suggestion of a chandelier! That would be fun to try. Thank you!
@@BentleyHouseMinis No problem. You give me ideas all the time. Glad I could help you in return 😘

I hope you find it and can play! Its such a versatile little tool :)
New sub, saw you on pintrest and now I'm hooked! Wonderful that you're working with the dollhouse donation, I'm thrilled to follow you!

@@BentleyHouseMinis no thank you needed i really do enjoy your channel 😊😊 have a blessed Christmas
I enjoy you channel so much 😊🙏 happy holidays
Thank you Ilene! I am enjoying yours as well!
The cupid on the velvet cushion, maybe for vintage jewelry you say......a wedding ring holder for safe keeping atop the lady's vanity.
That makes sense!
Further, it seems like an Irish dainty thing for the wife on washing day maybe, they were big on laundry, but then there's almost a wedgewood quality to it...i hope you find out.
@@donitaforrest9064 It's actually for sticking jewelry pins : it's a pincushion
That kitchen hutch is awesome! I laughed at the tape on the drawer of that other piece - I am looking for a missing window pane of my double window - where is it? In the ether?? 😁
LOL!! Tape can be very important ;)
I really love your channel, it’s great. I’ve learned so much from you.
Thank you so much!!
Wow I wish I could come across some of those great deals that you found.
I felt very lucky to find these for sure!

Lovely treasures.
Now you have to make a dollhouse for the dollhouse that goes in the dollhouse. lol. Merry Christmas.
Oh man... I don't think I'd survive that lol. Merry Christmas Mike!
Bentley House Minis. Hahaha. I truly hope you and your family have an awesome holiday. Thanks for you inspiration on the world of miniatures.
Thank you so much!
Spray the shiny piece with mat spray finish .....one coat ... No need to remove previous finish
Love your stuff
