Awesome! I have great respect for anyone working in that scale. I made dollhouse's dollhouse out of cardstock, put in all the walls and got it all painted and set about making the furniture. I made a tiny sofa out of foam board using an exacto knife to trim and "plane" the bits of foam so it actually looked like a sofa. And that was the end of that. I am in total awe of anyone who can and has ,1. See what the heck they are working on and 2. the manual dexterity to actually make all those impossibly tiny pieces. That aint me hahaha
I love this Octo Containment Device, Ara! It does indeed have the rustic charm of a child's toy, with the extra twist that only an Addams can devise. Super cute.
I'm so happy that you gave Wednesday her own toy! I loved the redundancy of the metal hinges/straps...keeping an slippery octopus contained isn't easy you know. 😉 It's perfect! Keep posting the videos please!! I'm in Addams Family Heaven whenever you post an addition to your house!! 💖👌🙂👍
Once again, you nailed it! You can tell how much fun you're having with this project. Traveling to Dallas this year for the miniature show and looking forward to seeing the abandoned coffee shop in person!
That micro doll house is too cute. Oh the ideas running through my head on what I could do with it. But I love your idea of putting the octopus in it too.
Haha yes I hope he will because its glued shut ;) I made the electric chair pre-youtube. I think it might end up in Festers room but we shall see ;) Thanks you!
I feel you when it comes to taking the amount of glue you use into consideration. I always find myself wiping off access, and even when I do and leave it to dry, it still leaves these shiny spots/streaks on the finished product that drive me crazy 😅
This is the perfect toy for Wednesday, I know she'll love it. You showed a lot of restraint making it look like a toy, I would have been tempted to add realistic details too
This is awesome! You've inspired me to make my own Addams family mansion and the castle from Edward scissor hands. In the first movie when Wednesday finds out the truth about Fester, she uses the trap door in her room and right when Fester breaks in, you can see her dollhouse.
Oh how cool!! If you post your progress anywhere online be sure to let me know! I would love to see :) And thanks for the movie tip... I will go back and watch out for it!
@@BentleyHouseMinis I will be sure to do that! I happened to walk to the back of Hobby Lobby and noticed one of the dollhouses looked like the Addams family (It wasn't labeled) and then I ran into your videos and started watching the two movies religiously. I debated for about 2 months before I used my 40% off coupon to purchase it. I do have a majority of it built but I stopped so I could work on the inside. I have added a few custom changes and I will be adding more as I go from room to room. The only problem is that the right side and the front of the tower are slightly warped and I didn't notice it until I got it glued together. Thanks again for the inspiration!
Wheeeeeeeeee! So adorable! Love your minis and hooray for the singular Wednesday having a toy now. You are so talented and personable and lots of fun, Ara! Wishing you a sweet day.
I love this little dollhouse! I just recently have been reading about Charles Addams. I have been trying to decide which book I wanted to purchase. I'm going to look for your review of the book on your blog. I watch the original Addams Family from the early black & white episodes on tv. I really loved them then and I still do. The Munsters were on at the same time but I was drawn to the Addams Family along with Bewitched. You did an excellent job on this miniature house. I love how the octopus was exploring the house. Octopi are super intelligent and very curious. Even though Socrates is listed as Wednesday's pet from Charles Addams, I always remember on tv Pugsly playing with it so I thought it was his pet. Homer was her tarantula and Lucifer was her pet lizard. Thank you so much for all of your tutorial videos!!
It looks well & truly "Addams-ed." lol. I can't remember, does Wednesday have a monster/dinosaur mural above her bed & Pugsley his stolen safety signage?
She does! I took an image from one of Addams original cartoons and made the mural that wraps around the room from it. And yes I have signs ready for Pugsley... but they are not up yet ;) Thanks Joanne!
I’m sorry this is the second time watching this video and lord I love your voice, I’m not even interested in miniatures but I LOVE watching you since I have been moving into my new house since getting off the road after a year and just play your instructions in the background and it’s calming, gets me in a good head space. Ara, you’re awesome don’t stop crafting. 💕
I do love the octopus! This turned out awesome. I recently purchased a 1/144 scale house. All your talk of making tiny window and siding is making me burst with ideas! 🦄🌈🌞🦋. Not sure if mine will turn out haunted though. We will see.
I have been trying to make a quick little dollhouse for my 1:6 kid so she can have a proper present under the tree. I hope it's all finished enough to take photos at Christmas! I have been trying to make mini furniture (Very basic Lol!) From air dry clay...I think I might try again with Milliput if this doesn't dry well.

Thank you Heather! I love calling it an octo-containment-device!!! lol! I will have to write that on the bottom or something to remember it!💖💖

Thank you!! Wednesday is known for making sure she does a job properly lol!
You are nothing short of a creative genius!
In love with the octo-creature 💕 🐙
Thanks Chrissy! I seem to create them a lot lol. They are super fun!
Fabulous - I love the back story you've used to explain all the features added to the doll house - very well done indeed :-)
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!!
Once again, you nailed it! You can tell how much fun you're having with this project. Traveling to Dallas this year for the miniature show and looking forward to seeing the abandoned coffee shop in person!
Yay!! I look forward to meeting you! I will be walking around randomly on Saturday so if you see me be sure to say hi!
That micro doll house is too cute. Oh the ideas running through my head on what I could do with it. But I love your idea of putting the octopus in it too.
The little kit is fairly affordable if you do decide to try it out (not sure about shipping though). If you put one together I would love to see!
Anticipate the future, Wednesday Netflix :-)
Good music used in simulator Kerbal space program too
Greetings Spookers:-)
😀 turned out great 👍love the octopus 😁
Thank you!!
I love the result spooky but cool
Thank you so much Daniela!!
That is awesome! Aristotle will be happy to live there, I'm sure. There's always the electric chair in the playroom....maybe?
Haha yes I hope he will because its glued shut ;) I made the electric chair pre-youtube. I think it might end up in Festers room but we shall see ;) Thanks you!
I think Aristotle is actually Pugsley's according to the old tv show, so its even funnier to think she kidnapped him and trapped him in a dollhouse
That’s really scary ,but also cool
That is absolutey adorable!
Thank you so much Angela!

Brilliant. I love how this turned out.
Thank you Sarah!
Love it! Very creative. Thank you for sharing. 💗👍
Thank you so much!!
Really cute and so appropriate for Wednesday’s dollhouse! Love your take on making miniatures especially the aging process!
A few rats would be nice additions to this house!
Thank you so much Victoria!! I have a couple in Grandmama's basement already... but a few more may move in before its all done lol!
This is the perfect toy for Wednesday, I know she'll love it. You showed a lot of restraint making it look like a toy, I would have been tempted to add realistic details too
It was difficult and against my usual instincts lol. Thank you Annejuli!!💖
Your work always amazes me!! You are fantastic.
That's so cute, I love how you think things through to take it to the next level and much more interesting.👏😍
Thank you so much Karin! I appreciate that!💖
So creative
Thank you!

This is perfect I could see that she would have one just like this.
Thank you Debbie! I tried to capture some Wednesday essence! ;)

It's AMAZING!! You should be so proud! 🐙
Thank you Squeak! I appreciate it!💖
I kinda want there to be a tiny dollhouse inside THIS tiny dollhouse, to go inside your Addams Family dollhouse.
I do love the octopus! This turned out awesome. I recently purchased a 1/144 scale house. All your talk of making tiny window and siding is making me burst with ideas! 🦄🌈🌞🦋. Not sure if mine will turn out haunted though. We will see.
Thank you Heather!! I am so glad it could spark a few ideas for you!💖💖
So cute...love it 😍
Thank you Donna!

They say if you enjoy your job you never work a day. You sure proved it.
I can tell you that's very true!!😊
Awesome sauce!
😄 Thank you!
👍😊
Love it :)
Thank you Martha!!
Don’t know why I thought there would be fire damage on the dollhouse. My mind must be more twisted than Wednesday’s.
She just hadn't gotten to the blow torch phase of the houses glow-up yet! lol!!
wow
I tried this but the octopus got out
In the tv series Pugsly has the pet octopus
Good to know! Maybe Wednesday is holding him hostage for some reason ;)
Have you made an electric chair?
Yes I have but it was before I started making UA-cam videos. You can see it in the video when I do the tour of the kids room :)
First! Love u!
Aww thanks!!
🕸️🕷️🖤
Wish able to do this
The details
I think she trapped a doll inside
Way too cute! You outdid yourself!!! 💖💖
Aww thanks Jan!!
Love this!
