This setup takes 6 workers 625 minutes to do 1000 shirts. In US wages that would be over $780 in labor costs a day (includes taxes etc.) The same job on an $85,000 M&R press would be finished with one person running the machine in 256 minutes. That works out to $86 in labor costs ($20 an hour) .So with the excess labor these guys would pay workers each month (over $15,400) , I could lease 8 automatic screen-presses and pay the electricity for all of them. :-) This shows you the unfortunate difference we have in labor costs in different parts of the world. But I love this setup for say names and numbers, or one color jobs. Best of luck to you guys. . Be blessed..
Believe it or not. Some employers like to keep as many people busy/paid as possible. Its not about that dollar dude.. Its about the community, and the people in it. I work for a man that pays us just about as much as he makes. We all work hard and are almost equals.. And ITS FUCKING AWESOME.
I adopted the same system in Africa Zimbabwe and it works well for me. More accurate and less stressful than the rotary system. I imported the rotary for USD4000 [6 colour six station] but built a 6 station for only USD130...understand that unlike in the US, we do not have easy access to debt financing, we work with what we have, anytime we make a purchase for an asset its usually full payment cash so how and where are we supposed to find USD86 000 to buy an automatic press? We can't, so we innovate.
Also note that rental of space is a huge issue in the states whereas in other parts of the world, space is abundant. We're building a small factory 10m by 6m using land in our back yard...in a fair world i would prefer an automatic press but this is the best option i have...for now.
its not its cheap and it seems like its effective if labor is paid cheaply. here in the US to hire that many people is silly...which is why we use rotating presses which can make one single person do most of those jobs alone. or with two people...these presses are cheaper to produce and with enough people they can be faster working...they just take way more employees to operate.
A single person can use a table press system. I know a guy who has a 20 platen table press and he works alone. It is very fast once you get the hang of it. Plus, you can build it yourself for next to nothing. AND... you can use an unlimited number of colors. You are not limited to 4 colors or 6 colors or even 12 colors.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the latest series on Instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf during the lockdown :)
+rick carter. For starters they have way too many people working on this one job! granted those guys are probably working for next to nothing, but with an automatic press you could have 1 guy putting out so many more shirts per hour.
are you in the Philippines if so do you get your ink from J Vargo I used used to live there many years ago and I love the inks is it still going? also I love your registration method magaling
SHA STYLES I built a 4 station line table with plans from this link: drive.google.com/file/d/0B-UvPP6hFaWHNi04SW9qcnRaZmc/view?usp=sharing. Credit goes to creator, IronDragon. Hope this helps.
kayo Beetz Agreed. I'd rather be honest with my client in making a reasonable estimate of run time than lose money in retaining too many workers just to be able to say "I ran 1000 shirts in 10 hours". Besides, I know a couple of different teams of three people that could have accomplished this run in less time than it took this crew.
+franklin roncolato Digo que tem muita gente rodeando. Se todos estivessem mesmo trabalhando a produção seria muito maior; e pra esse serviço não seria necessário mais que 3 trabalhando.
Brandt DeLorenzo i was thinking the same thing. i would think using a six color press and table with a at least a flash dryer would be much faster. But hey... what do i know. lol

Tom Rumbaugh Right ! Our Javelin would eat them alive !
Tom Rumbaugh what's the automatic machine your talking about? I'm currently researching screen printing and that caught my attention
These guys might make about 150 USD /Month per person.
sorry the labor for this people is much cheaper than your machine..

Great job !! only one sugestion: you should fire four workers and keep only the ones that are working.....lol

Did you build the machine by yourself?
You very right.
Yes I did, it's a very simple build.
Hello Kay juta possible to have a preview and operating mechanism?
Ingenious!
Where there's a will . . . . .
thats gotta be the most counter-productive printing I've ever seen!
Why is it counter productive? Just curious. I am just starting of myself.

hans how doeshe print opaque? i have a hard time wrapping my head around the flashing in between as a single worker.
only reason why it's done there instead of the US is the really little wages they're earning.

Way too many ppl for this job. Are they making a profit?
kayo Beetz Agreed. I'd rather be honest with my client in making a reasonable estimate of run time than lose money in retaining too many workers just to be able to say "I ran 1000 shirts in 10 hours".

WTH -What are you doing there?
You have six people printing 1,000 shirts in 10 hours, so 17 shirts per employee per hour. That's so slow for screen printing.
Brandt DeLorenzo i was thinking the same thing. i would think using a six color press and table with a at least a flash dryer would be much faster. But hey... what do i know. lol
