Jimmy Carter was a loser and will always be a loser and terrible president, having foolishly voting for him, I speak from firsthand experience to my deep regret.
The Panama Canal Treaty specified that IF CONTROL of the Canal fell into the hands of an Enemy of the USA... then the Ownership will revert to the USA.
Panama railroad that supplied all the materials to build Panama canal was built by Irish emigrants to America. 12000 workers died during the process 80 km of Railroad that transported all the raw materials to build canal itself. It's shameful what Carter did.
That railroad was actually built by the Chinese in Panama. The irish didn't have what it takes. The irish hated the Chinese just look at the Chinese exclusion act of California.
Well on this one, you have been grossly misinformed. Their explanation was wrong, and the research they did was extremely lazy. I had a lot of respect for PBD, but knowing the history of the Panama Canal in depth and of the history of Panama in general, I am very disappointed at how lazy they were on their research.. Tom was the worst. I though I was watching CNN, far right version, listening to him.
I like the show too, but he is extremely right wing, so to get educated on any subject you want to hear several opinions, then make up your mind. I don’t take anyone’s opinion as gospel, it’s just their opinion.
I can't believe people don't just realize this is Trump's way of negotiating his deals. He requests something outrageous and unattainable, so when it's worked down to something better for both sides, it looks like he moved off his spot and given ground when he he never really believed he would attain that highest ground to begin with.
You getting President Trump right. ✅ President Trump it's trolling all this stupid who got with that. I really Tanks God for President Donald J Trump..

You never lived in Panama, you never saw how Panamenians were being treated in their own country by Americans when they occupied the Canal Zone. Many people died because of these tensions. You need to do your research and stop talking nonsense.
Flying down to Colombia and stopping in Panama as a layover, seeing soooo many ships just sitting out there is amazing, I wish I had a way to show you all photos of the ships I took that sit there, so long, waiting to get into the canal...and its a joke!
You can always post photos on your community tab on your youtube account! My family came through the panama canal to america in the 60s and my uncle said its incredible
And let me tell you, in some US Briefings with Colombia, they are (THE US with Blinkin) are actively encouraging trade with the Pacific nations OVER America! China is already moving in BIG TIME with cheap tech in South America, and into Africa, the continents and nations that JFK (RFK Jr will even tell you) sent aid to, in an attempt to shove Communism away...and instead of Russia...it is now China starting to make moves into South America... Venzeula is already fallen, Brazil has become completely corrupt to a point of shame...Argentina is too poor, and i believe in a negative trade deficit with America, however, Colombia , might actually be for South America, the greatest ally, where there is a trade surplus with! , why Biden and Blinkin would encourage trade with the pacific nations over America is amazing. It is time for the US to start to invest, and become present in a certain way, with Central and South America , as well as Africa...because if we neglect them, the Chinese will swoop in. . . Colombia has a solid Criistian system, which might be the one good reason they could become the best Ally for the US in all of South America... and there are opportunity for more trade there, with very well educated Colombians, who speak VERY good English...also could be a place to actually bring in Immigrants who actually want to assimilate to the United States, UNLIKE other places that despise the USA. So much to say on this whole thing... so much the avg americans dont know about the communist Chinese trying to infiltrate into Africa and South America BIG TIME...

For those who blame Carter for "giving the Canal away", please note that under the Nixon administration the US agreed to repeal the 1903 treaties (Tack-Kissinger agreement) and arrange a new treaty that would give the Canal zone back to Panama as well as control over the Canal. That was the basis of the 1977 treaties under Carter. Such treaties were ratified by the US Senate as well.
According to hospital records, 5,609 workers died of diseases (malaria/yellow fever) and accidents during the US construction of the canal. Of those according to available data, only a small percentage, around 5% of the workers who died building the Panama Canal were Americans, with the vast majority being laborers from the Caribbean, particularly from Barbados and Jamaica, due to the large recruitment efforts in those regions. One of your staff said around 40,000 Americans died while in fact hospital records show around 280 Americans died. Where are you coming up with these exaggerated numbers?
The US had to interview and test workers from other surrounding areas to find people to work on the canal, Panamanians had a different sense of industry and often too low an IQ to be an adequate work force. Additionally, Panama was supposed to have the food concessions for the work force, but they were gouging the well-paid workers of the canal with such high prices that the workers couldn't afford to eat and were becoming thin and weak - so the US government had to step in and set up food service so the men could afford to do the hard work daily and survive. Read THE PATH BETWEEN THE SEAS.
More Jamaican died building the Panama canal. America funds yes but many people from other countries made up the greater human tragedy. Do your research.
How many Jamaicans, Chinese, Africans, or whatever, the nationality that died during the Panama Canal is irrelevant to the point being made. Without United States funding, it wouldn't have been built. 2nd worst in our history, President Carter gave it away. Got over yourself.
Damn watching this video I remember during my Covid cruise with the Navy we had to go underneath South America to get to San Diego instead of the Panama Canal . That would’ve cut my deployment by at least 3 weeks . Bruh Time is precious on those kind of deployments
Foreal tho. Russia facilitates cheap gas to Europe and energy prices are decent…until the CIA pops the pipeline and we have the audacity to point fingers left and right 😂
Keeping the Panama Canal under the U.S. flag ensures strategic control over one of the world’s most vital trade routes, safeguarding economic and national security interests. The canal’s role in global commerce can’t be overstated-it’s a lifeline that must remain in stable and capable hands.
Please Always read the treaties that have been signed before you speak about it...then everyone will have their own interpretation according to their own benefits.... In the end, do you want to be respected and loved because you are fair to your friends or we prefer to hated it because we always find a way to take what other nations own. Yes....in God we trust.
The same hands that deal out the trade strangling sanctions that many nations are struggling under? Why should the rest of the nations of the world be content with that?
I remember when Carter did that! Most of the American people disagreed with the $1.00 give-away! But as always, government did what they wanted to day with complete disregard of American opinion!

Why would making an investment in another country and profiting from it for 100 years confer title to the property. Thats socialism You build it you own it. Thats not who we are.
If the bank built built your house, and you have it fully paid and owned, then the bank can come out of nowhere claiming they made a bad deal decades ago and demand you to give them back the house you fully paid. Because logic.
Who's side are you on? Panama doesn't have the winning hand here, they have NO skin in the game, they didn't plan it, fight for it, nor build it , they don't spend money on it to maintain it , so they don't even have sweat equity in it. They are just a passive by stander reaping the rewards and carrying none of the burdens. Panama was a nothing country until the USA wanted to build the canal. We gave and give Panama money for free. The USA will take back ownership of our canal whether you like it or not. Stupid Carter (the worse president in U.S. history) should not have sold the canal for a dollar and I say that the sale is not valid and it will be proven to be invalid. Carter was a big pretender a sell out helping to bring about the ruination of the USA. Thank God for Reagan, the American people couldn't get rid of Carter fast enough, Carter brought hell on earth to Americans while he was in office, in my opinion. The Panama Canal was only one of the many back stabbing things he did to this country. Carter was FAR worse then Biden and Obama put together. It was only by the grace of God that this country survived the Carter years. Think about why Carter hates Trump so much, Carter was doing his level best to ruin the country and Trump wants to save the country, uplift it and make it the very best it can be. I'm looking forward to the naked truth coming out about Carter, behind that good old boy veneer lives the heart of Satan, he fooled so many people, fake, fake, fake, fake, fake. The fullness of this comment is my opinion in which I'm entitled to.
The us built and paid for the Panama Canal and it was the most exoensive undertaking ever between 1904 and 1913. We also managed it until 1999. I agree with him.
rance actually started building of the Panama canal, not the US at a cost of $287,000,000 losing 22,000 workers over a period of 8 years clearing and planning most of the groundwork with the company going bankrupt due to the scale and spiralling fatalities / costs. The Us bought and finished the cannel off later, but the deal was the Canal was US owned only for a period of time as this was an obvious lack of sovereignty for Panama. The US more than made profits off of the venture. The Panama Canal ceased being a US asset in 1999 due to the agreements of it even existing in the first place. Panama is a sovereign country. That China has managed to muscle in there is a lack of care for stopping them. Treat allies with respect, stability, trust, security and do not threaten them and maybe they will stay as allies. I thought Trump was "mr peace", he's going to invade a sovereign country now to steal their assets? He's a businessman that cannot make a deal with Panama?
Greenland is important for the same reason the Panama Canal is: shipping routes. An alternate route between the East and West coasts, or between Asia and Europe, is through the Arctic.
MAGA is meant for USA itself, not as an excuse to soft invade countries with the excuse of USA's security. If so, then Russia is even more times justified.
And the majority of american workers were black people. I don’t know where these people are getting “38k americans died” from but the official number from the us govt is 5600 deaths.
Tom, you are wrong i'm panamanian and thats not true. Around 25k people died building the Panama canal from 1881 started by the French then sold to the US in 1903 and the vast majority around 90% of the workers where from Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. At the moment US Navy even has special tariff's to use the Canal. China is not controlling at all the Canal, a chinese company owns one of the biggest ports due to bad negotiations from our government and a chinese company also won the construction of the 4th bridge over the Canal because they where the cheapest in a public licitation.
In 2006 we voted to expand the Canal and construct a 2 whole new set of locks in order to allow bigger ships to go through, buit by panamanians. In 2016 the new 2 sets of locks started operating and increased path of ships through the Canal.
There is a fresh water level issue with the canal as well. The locks disperse vital fresh water into the ocean. That water could be put back into the lakes. Build it.

I think there are important points we need to keep in mind. 1) If USA officially relinquished control then it no longer owns it. Isn’t it? Words need to be kept to be respected. 2) If we want to regain control or purchase it back, what is our approach? Wisely and diplomatically? Force and Arrogance? Overall, we can’t say that when something is simply beneficial to us, then we will take it back. Just like we don’t want Mexico to take back some of the southern states that they sold in the past that seemed unfavorable to them.
Sorry for your ignorance, but you can never take back what is not yours, and that was for sure not lazy negotiating, the United States recognized that continued control of the canal would bring more diplomatic and financial burdens than benefits, so it agreed to hand over its operations to Panama, that is what the treaties were for, the neutrality, the operation, and the Panama Treaty itself, which made Panama an ally of the USA, the initial treaty signed by Philippe-Jean Bunau-Varilla, who was French and acted as Panama’s diplomatic representative, and United States Secretary of State John Hay, was widely regarded as unfair to Panama, even Hay himself admitted that Moreover, the treaty granted treaty rights over the land in exchange for paying the new country of Panama $10 million and a $250,000 payment each following year, which was even less than the original treaty lease proposed to Colombia for $10 million annually, the Colombian Senate unanimously rejected that earlier treaty because it was deemed insufficient compensation, a threat to sovereignty, and perpetual; so the USA cannot take what was never theirs, Hay-Bunau-Varilla with panama were merely concession treaty rights over the land, not sovereign rights, it is not like the USA lost Hawaii, Alaska, or Louisiana in 1999 The new treaty negotiated in 1977 limited the time the USA could occupy the land and operate the Panama Canal, setting a deadline for full transfer by 1999, Panama now has a new set of locks built and paid for entirely by Panama through toll revenue and loans, the initial Hay-Bunau-Varilla Treaty allowed the USA to build the canal in exchange for occupying the land and supporting Panama’s separation from Colombia, however, the original treaty created burdens for Panama, even before the canal, it was clear this was the most important piece of land for Panama’s economic and environmental development The canal zone had mixed impacts, it spurred economic growth in some areas but caused disproportionate urban expansion in Panama City, poor planning, and limited access to key regions, the only thing the USA can invoke is the principle of reserve in the Torrijos-Carter Treaties, this principle was added to ensure Senate approval during President Carter’s negotiations, it allows the USA to act in defense of the canal’s neutrality, but according to the International Law Commission of the United Nations, this principle is rarely invoked because it grants unilateral powers to one party in implementing a treaty Panama had unfair concession contracts with China, which brought limited economic benefits to the country, many of these agreements, including contracts for two major ports in Balboa and Cristobal and CCT in the Atlantic, were signed before the canal zone was fully transferred and under corrupt political conditions, the USA, under the principle of reserve, could theoretically activate the right to defend the neutrality of the Panama Canal as outlined in the Torrijos-Carter Treaty, Panama should review and potentially eliminate these contracts with China, replacing them with agreements with state port enterprises like DP World from Dubai or PSA Ports of Singapore; cuz the United States does not view any private company in China as truly private, seeing them as extensions of the Chinese government, especially in critical infrastructure projects
27,000 people died building the Panama canal, I wonder how many of those were Americans I'm guessing not many, the majority were probably the people who live there, this channel is making it sound like 27,000 Americans died
2. The canal was built by foreigners. Several were Jamaican and Panamanian /Colombian. 3. The USA orchestrated the separation of Panama from Columbia for the canal. 4. Maybe France 🇫🇷 wants it back too… they started it.
The laborers used in building the canal were not the people who designed and directed the work on the canal. America designed and built the canal. Panama has not maintained the canal and have a garbage government. Central America is a cesspool of corruption, violence and drugs.
No one is taking the country. Trump wants ONLY the canal. I don't know how I feel about that but neither do I know how much influence China has over Panama these days. If China is involved, yes, I think it is necessary to have it back for our own security.
Pat. That’s the shirt I bought. Love it. I’ve been bitching about the Panama Canal since Carter sold it for $1. Truman in 1946 tried to buy Greenland. Truman identified Greenland as highly important to Western Hemisphere’s security.

The number of American workers who died during the construction of the Panama Canal was relatively small compared to the total fatalities. Out of the estimated 25,000 workers who died, only about 350 were American during the American construction phase (1904-1914). Most of the fatalities were among the West Indian laborers who made up the majority of the workforce and faced the harshest conditions. The higher survival rate of American workers can be attributed to better living conditions, access to medical care, and roles that typically involved less dangerous manual labor. In contrast, West Indian laborers were often exposed to hazardous environments with limited protection or healthcare.
Panama maintains the canal not the US. Please get your facts straight. The canal is 80% of the income of Panama they will not give the canal up. Panama would collapse without it!

@@amarreder6241 Panama runs the canal no other country!! Trump is concerned because China has a port in Colon so he is afraid that China will try to take over the canal, trust me that will not happen! Panama depends on the income from the canal. It would be a financial disaster for the country if they turned the canal over. So the treaty has not been voilated so Panama has every right to maintain control over the canal.
Part of the handover to Panama was that US could go in/takeover? if it came a security risk. I think the commos running it through companies qualifies that now?
That was until 1999. I recommend you download the treaty called Torrijos-Carter and read it. The treay expired in 1999 after the handover. Panama owns it 100%. The US has not provided a dime since or protected it since.

So if that's the case then the US should give back Florida to Spain because Spain built St. Augustine and all the cities and towns that were around back then. These guys in the video I normally listen to but I know Panamanian history very well. So it's disappointing when I hear them spread lies.
Saying that the U.S. paid for everything on the Panama Canal is absurd. Since the canal was handed over to Panama in 1999, the Panamanian government, through the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), has been fully responsible for its operation, maintenance, and expansion. The biggest project, the $5.3 billion expansion completed in 2016, was entirely funded by Panama, not the U.S. I’ve been a loyal follower of all PBD platforms for years and listen regularly, but this statement is completely off-base and makes no sense. I suggest doing better research and not misinforming people about such important facts.
Sir, you may be right, but who gives a fu€k?! We should take that sumbitch back anyway! The Panamanians are great but this is no time to play nice and I’d much rather see my tax dollars going towards repairs and updates on the Panama Canal than to whiny ass Ukraine!! 🤨
PBD needs to look into WHY the Panama Canal was built. Shipping DOES NOT move in the gap between South America and Antarctica. Weather and oceanography makes sailing so difficult that 1 in 3 ships survive (in memory serves me well).
Alright, alright, so the reasoning is sh!tty at best, and the logic just isn’t there. Sooooo……….What billionaire or multinational mega corp is tired of paying canal fees, or wants to be in charge of them?

Canada has a National Healthcare system, that is why their taxes are higher. Canadians would not want to give up their healthcare and benefits to be part of the U.S. where our citizens face medical bankruptcy.

2.5 billion dollars, is the all the US pay a year. For an asset this valuable, it is Panama that's been ripped off. Why don't the US invest in Panama ports instead of leaving it for the Chinese? if its so valuable to you, why don't you invest in it instead?
President Trump should consider reestablishing U.S. military bases in Panama, similar to those from the past-Fort Clayton, Howard Air Force Base, Rodman Naval Base, Fort Davis, and others. The mission of these bases would be: 1. To prevent the passage of immigrants heading to the U.S. 2. To counteract Chinese influence and control of the Panama Canal. The Panamanian government could continue administering the Canal, while the U.S. focuses on security and support. This would be a win-win for everyone! President Trump could propose a referendum to the Panamanian people on this issue-I bet they’d be interested!

Great idea. The problem is Panama is neutral and having bases here is not necessary. The embassy pretty much is already one and they already do all of that counter intelligence from there.
Tom, in the 90s the canal was still in hands of the US (it reverted December 31 1999). Since then, Panama runs it, maintains it (pays to do so from the income of the operation) and actually expanded it (now there is a 3rd set of locks that allows for bigger ships to go by - PANAMA paid for it)

I m from Panama. 2 things: 1. The Panama Canal is perfectly working and there is no need of fundings!.2. US taking over the Canal and full control, would probably create instability in the region (basically poverty). Getting something from one country is not either moral.
I hear you. These MAGA types believe everything Trump feeds them. There is absolutely no maintenance issues - plus, Panama IMPROVED the canal through expansion. Trump sits on the toilet and types empty blowhard threats, and these podcasters eat it up and spew it back.
The British did the same in many of its colonies, they built a lot of stuff which thry really ought to take back control of as their economy is crushing.
These guys don’t know a thing about the history of the canal or the relationship between Panama and the U.S. In fact, any Panamanian knows more about it than they do, because in school, we have a subject called "Relations Between Panama and the United States." Ignorance #1: "Oh, thousands of Americans died." Please, it was a minority. The ones who died were mostly Chinese, Africans, Indians, Jamaicans-you name it. Do some actual studying. Ignorance #2: "The treaty expired, so you can’t claim anything." Sure, you can negotiate fees, but that’s about it. Ignorance #3: The U.S. paid Panama peanuts for the canal when they were running it. They raked in a ton of money, so what are they even complaining about? My opinion: The U.S., under the Democrats, became a global laughingstock with their woke leftist agenda and insane spending. Now, Trump needs to reignite the flames of nationalism, patriotism, and protectionism, which makes sense. Same thing happened with El Salvador and Bukele-Trump talked so much nonsense at first, but then he realized Venezuela was the real problem with all the criminals and everything else. And later, he came around. I wouldn’t stress over the rhetoric. Words are just words, and politics is just politics.
Technically the United States would not be buying Greenland with cash. You cannot buy it with cash because who would be getting the money? It's a country. When they say buying you need to look at as our government is trying to sell their people that becoming part of the United States would be beneficial to them.
The nation of Panama only exists because of the canal. Panama was part of Columbia previous to a US backed movement to secede in 1903. Construction of the canal began the very next year. One could argue that the USA created Panama as a buffer zone around their new canal.

That canal was supposed to be the Columbia Canal. Colombia and France started working on the channel, and later the USA joined. When the canal was completed, the USA saw how much profit could be made and decided that Panama should democratize and secede from Colombia. For this help with the democratization of Panama, the USA received the use and control of the Panama Canal until 1999. This is another example of the USA's "Democracy and Capitalism" that we have seen all over the world that the USA is implementing.
Panama got the independence from Spain in 1821 and joined the Gran Colombia which at that time was a region comprising of Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador. Venezuela and Ecuador separated in 1830 and Panama continued to be “annexed” to Colombia. In 1903 Panama separates from Colombia with the help of the USA. The Canal construction started after separation between Colombia and Panama. Contrary to what is taught in the school education in Colombia; Panama wasn’t part of Colombia; it didn’t belong to Colombia. Colombia got independence from Spain in 1819 and Panama in 1821. The French had the original intent to construct the Canal; but, the United States were the ones that had the ingenuity in constructing the water way while tackling the heat, malaria and other mosquito born diseases.

Sorry for your ignorance, but you can never take back what is not yours, and that was for sure not lazy negotiating, the United States recognized that continued control of the canal would bring more diplomatic and financial burdens than benefits, so it agreed to hand over its operations to Panama, that is what the treaties were for, the neutrality, the operation, and the Panama Treaty itself, which made Panama an ally of the USA, the initial treaty signed by Philippe-Jean Bunau-Varilla, who was French and acted as Panama’s diplomatic representative, and United States Secretary of State John Hay, was widely regarded as unfair to Panama, even Hay himself admitted that
Moreover, the treaty granted treaty rights over the land in exchange for paying the new country of Panama $10 million and a $250,000 payment each following year, which was even less than the original treaty lease proposed to Colombia for $10 million annually, the Colombian Senate unanimously rejected that earlier treaty because it was deemed insufficient compensation, a threat to sovereignty, and perpetual; so the USA cannot take what was never theirs, Hay-Bunau-Varilla with panama were merely concession treaty rights over the land, not sovereign rights, it is not like the USA lost Hawaii, Alaska, or Louisiana in 1999
The new treaty negotiated in 1977 limited the time the USA could occupy the land and operate the Panama Canal, setting a deadline for full transfer by 1999, Panama now has a new set of locks built and paid for entirely by Panama through toll revenue and loans, the initial Hay-Bunau-Varilla Treaty allowed the USA to build the canal in exchange for occupying the land and supporting Panama’s separation from Colombia, however, the original treaty created burdens for Panama, even before the canal, it was clear this was the most important piece of land for Panama’s economic and environmental development
The canal zone had mixed impacts, it spurred economic growth in some areas but caused disproportionate urban expansion in Panama City, poor planning, and limited access to key regions, the only thing the USA can invoke is the principle of reserve in the Torrijos-Carter Treaties, this principle was added to ensure Senate approval during President Carter’s negotiations, it allows the USA to act in defense of the canal’s neutrality, but according to the International Law Commission of the United Nations, this principle is rarely invoked because it grants unilateral powers to one party in implementing a treaty
Panama had unfair concession contracts with China, which brought limited economic benefits to the country, many of these agreements, including contracts for two major ports in Balboa and Cristobal and CCT in the Atlantic, were signed before the canal zone was fully transferred and under corrupt political conditions, the USA, under the principle of reserve, could theoretically activate the right to defend the neutrality of the Panama Canal as outlined in the Torrijos-Carter Treaty, Panama should review and potentially eliminate these contracts with China, replacing them with agreements with state port enterprises like DP World from Dubai or PSA Ports of Singapore; cuz the United States does not view any private company in China as truly private, seeing them as extensions of the Chinese government, especially in critical infrastructure projects

France failed. They didn't start anything. America built it.

The laborers used in building the canal were not the people who designed and directed the work on the canal. America designed and built the canal. Panama has not maintained the canal and have a garbage government. Central America is a cesspool of corruption, violence and drugs.

President Trump should consider reestablishing U.S. military bases in Panama, similar to those from the past-Fort Clayton, Howard Air Force Base, Rodman Naval Base, Fort Davis, and others. The mission of these bases would be:

An estimated 22,000 French workers died during the initial attempt to build the canal in the 1880s. Many died from malaria and yellow fever, tropical diseases that were not yet understood. The French only recorded deaths that occurred in hospitals, so the true number of deaths is likely higher.
American construction
An estimated 5,609 American workers died during the construction of the canal between 1904 and 1913. The death toll was lower than the French effort due to better safety controls and medical care.
Total deaths
The total number of deaths is estimated to be between 25,000 and 27,609. However, the true number will never be known.
Permanently injured
Hundreds, if not thousands, more workers were permanently injured.

The Panama Canal was a monumental infrastructure project that employed more than 40,000 workers from many nationalities, including Italians, Spaniards, and West Indians.
It’s not 40 years in repairs they literally spent 2 billion building a new expansion on the canal in 2016. PBD you said this has to do anything with china this has to do with the Trump hotel that they kicked him out of in 2018 for not paying taxes please stop being a clown and learn something if you don’t believe me search Trump hotel in Panama 😂😂😂😂
I’m sure you got this off of MSNBC. BS.
What's with all the zoom videos instead of the usual studio?
How much fentanyl comes through Panama canal? That's the big question nobody seems to be talking about.
Yes I remember learning about the Panama canal in school and actually taught history.
Carter was a sellout for that stupid move.
That move will always keep his name in contention for Worst US President.
The moment we left Panama the Chinese started buying everything!
China buys things, the US destroys things.
Who would you do business with?
China has money and US has debts

THE US DID NOT BUILT IT AND THE FACT YOU LET HIM CONTINUE TALKING NONSENSE is sad.
Our money certainly did.
Don't know how you filmed this, but it took 10 years off you Patrick
I agree totally!! They all look 10 years younger! Why aren't they in the studio?
We want back the Panama Canal. America build the canal.
You aint getting squat!
@ by brute force do your history. 1. Dollar is a given away. Is yr house a dollar 💵 it giving it away. That don’t work
Panamanians and Caribbeans built the canal for 10¢/day. Not Americans.
@@CountofSerennoWe lost 30,000 American lives building that canal and you just write them off like they never existed. This is why we will be taking it back either by force or by diplomacy
@@dingus6317 They actually never existed. It's made up. Only about 5000 Americans were there and they weren't laborors, only supervisors. Approximately 150,000 Caribbeans and Panamanians built the canal.
The anti-war candidate is an imperialist... What happened to isolationism?
Trump has never been an isolationist, but he doesn't believe in UNNECESSARY wars.
I think Trump is starting to realise China Russia and other bricks membered nations are all expansionary and this new world order they are trying to create can actually be challenged by simply doing as they do 🤷🏻♂️ tough $hit
The anti war candidate has COMMON SENSE. Spare us the manipulative labels.
Never heard a beep about this during Trump's presidential campaigning...

Oh, my friends who came ftom Panama said a dental filling there costs $24 and there is zero waiting time for hospital procedures. Maybe the whole country should become a US Territory...
We do all three at the same time: Panama, Canada, Greenland, yep make America Great Again.

@@ShamooStu far behind of what? Trump is accusing China of “controlling the canal” which there is also no proof for it.
A wonderful book is The Path Between The Seas. I read it 18 years ago when I retired here. To say the least, building the canal was not a straightforward effort. Money, politics, international intrigue, engineering hurdles, weather and disease, this story has it all.
Thank you, gentlemen, for this vital education! 👏
They actually misinformed you on 99.9% of their talking points. I guarantee that you would do a better job researching than they did. I know the history of the Panama Canal and the Republic of Panama because I was born and raised there and went to Panamanian and American schools. I grew up in the Panama Canal Zone (graduated from High School there as well), and my father worked in the Panama Canal for 42 years. These guys are clueless. It really surprised me, because I used to hold PBD in high regards when it came to his research. Now I am questioning everything else they have said about other topics. Very disappointing!
“If the US owns Panama” is a wild statement. Imagine if some other country wanted take over portion of US land just because they helped built it. I am all for America first but this crazyy work 😂
China has purchased large swaths of American farmland.
China has purchased large swaths of American farmland.
Exactly! Then should the Dutch claim Manhattan and Brooklyn? And the Brits take back Boston, Philadelphia, etc? I am sure they'd do a better job at maintaining the bridges and roads, as the streets of London are not full of potholes (been to all these cities, so I know what I am talking about). Maybe the French feel like taking all the towns and cities in the former Missouri Territory, and Mexico wants the Wester states back. How about Spain asking for Puerto Rico and Florida? And the best Alaska back to Russia, since that was a bad deal for Russia in the end. Hypocrisy at its finest. And this coming from a USAF and Iraq War veteran.
So now the talking point is to invade another country like a neocon? 😂😂😂 you're a bunch of clowns
