  • Silk Doll, also known as Sichun Juan, is a common traditional snack in Guizhou Province, greatly beloved by locals.

The shape of Silk Doll resembles a newborn baby wrapped in a "swaddle" in the delivery room, hence its name. This "swaddle" is actually a thin pancake made from rice flour, while the "baby" refers to the various ingredients wrapped inside.

As for the ingredients inside, they are diverse, including Houttuynia cordata, shredded kelp, fried soybeans, crispy pickles, cold noodles, and more. The essence of Silk Doll lies in the hot and sour dipping sauce, which enriches the overall flavor and appetizing qualities of this snack.

When consuming it, we personally roll various vegetable shreds and ingredients into the thin pancake, then dip it into the specially made dipping sauce. The taste is sour, spicy, refreshing, and the vegetables are crisp and tender. This snack is not only colorful but also nutritious, deeply loved by locals.

Silk Doll has a long history and is the inheritance and development of the ancient "spring pancakes." By the mid-20th century, it had become a well-known traditional flavor snack in Guizhou.
