@13:00 I'm so sick of them splitting hairs around 'State of Play' vs 'Playstation Showcase'. Sony literally tells you what to expect. Stop hyping up non-existing games. An average gamer might hear there's a PlayStation show and that's it - it makes no difference what it's called.
Not really. All their big studios dropped a new game at the end of the PS4 or early PS5. Ghost 1 (2020), LOU2 (2020), Returnal (2021), GOWR (2022), Horizon 2 (2022). Games take 3-5 years to make depending on scale. Only studio that should be almost ready to show a new game based on that timeframe is sucker punch with Ghost 2. Naughty Dog we know had dev trouble so they ain't showing anything any time soon.
@@iortizjuniorbut don't they have more than 5 studios? I know you said major studios, but I thought they had close to 21 studios. There has to be more major studios than that. And if it's a 3-5 year cycle. Shouldn't we get a look at games from studios that released games in 2020/2021. As 2024 is at least 3 years removed from 2020. So I was hoping for more. Even if the big studios don't show up. I hoped we could at least hear what the other 15 studios are up to.

I want to see a VR turn based JRPG where you walk around a beautiful fantasy world and talk to npcs but they really talk to you in first person… then when you go into the battle system you are essentially doing different motion controls that correspond with your different move sets. But you see this life-size monster in front of you and then fire billows out of your hands and there’s a dope damage animation. The battle stages could be really immersive and cool also. My thing with VR is people just haven’t branched out into different types of experiences. Imagine you beat a boss and get kitted out in dope armor - you look down at your hands and chest and you’re wearing the sickest gear, then you swing a sword into a goblins chest and it actually slices through its shoulder blade. How dope would you feel. Plus there’s no motion sickness cause it’s just walking and basic turn based fighting 😊
I say it every time yall talk about the psvr2. All it needs is to be fully steam vr compatible. If for $600 I can get a wide fov, oled, eye tracking headset that can be paired with lighthouses, body, and mouth trackers. The VRChat weebs and Furrys are going to make sony green light a psvr3. Yall console players are like "600 is expensive". The index is still around 1000. Other headsets with wide fov oled screens or eye tracking close in around 2000. $600 is cheap as balls to pc vr players, and we will buy IF ITS STEAM VR COMPATIBLE.

Spider-Man 2 came out last October. Rise of the Ronin & Stellar Blade, which both have Sony funding, released in March and April. They have announced Concord (already confirmed for 2024), Marathon, Fairgames, and Wolverine. Sony already said tomorrow's State of Play will have first party stuff. "Didn't release a game for almost two years" lol what? 2022 had GoW Ragnarok, GT 7, Horizon Forbidden West. 2023 had FF 16 and Spiderman 2. This year we had FF 7 Rebirth. Whereas xbox has had two generation of consoles with a handful of games mostly starting with Forza in the title.
Greg was definitely feeling a sorta way today. He was blunt today and I Like it!
I’ve heard the word “scuttlebutt” more times in the past month than I have ever heard it in my life.
Whose butt?
14 games
1. Astro Bot
2. Until Dawn
3. Concord
4. LEGO Horizon
5. Spider-Man 2 (DLC)
6. God of War Ragnarok (PC)
7. Silent Hill 2
8. Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta
9. Kingdom Hearts 4
10. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
11. Monster Hunter Wilds
12. Indie
13. Indie
14. VR
The fact that Concord could be the only "new" thing that isn't a remake, sequel, or DLC to existing game is so disappointing.
