Bhai I think there is only one problem: Yea koi problem hi nhi hai . Everyone has shops at walking distance and people in India have a lot of free time .
We will just loot these companies because of discounts and as soon as they increase the prices, we will walk and shop from local stores
Yeah 😂
True
Thats what u call a modern startup era
@@anilmandloi2045 yup ye Indian hai yaha free mai Zeher bhi milta hai to 10 mai se 5 log lete hai 🤭
Kitna ache se explain kr rha h khud ko... Chindi chor
It is a complete case study of grocery market where we understand the things of online penetrations of online buying the grocery items and this video is very useful for me to knowing the retail business in verious parameters of cast, economic of scale, consumer equation cost and lots of things.
Going to the Kirana store it's not a pain it's a pleasure for many people. That's why Online Grocery is not scaling up.
at least they are making money more sincerely than greedy startups running for valuations
❤️❤️yesss
@@kiran75424 Yes, exactly, they don't bother whether their business are running in loss or profit, they just wanted to go for funding rounds majorly.
online groceries stores minimum purchases 199 =00 & they give free delivery
some handling charges
every time customer can't buy 199 =00 worth items
buying from local kirana store will save money & purchase what we want
online grocerie stores charge for bag also
were has local kirana stores give free bag & credit for a month ( monthly katha )
& we create a rapo with kirana store kaka
😊😊😊
We go to the Shopes not just for shopping 🙄 but for the experience ❤️many people just go D-mart for walks 🤣& buy anything small to big that they don't need but it's any emotion
They are taking much fake prices as well gst is also applicable so hate dmart
I have noticed that prices of basic everyday items like rice, oil, eggs, veggies on an average are more in these online apps than local grocery store. But ready to eat items, cosmetics and personal hygeine items are a little bit cheaper. Also there is an advantage that we get many varieties of items in these online stores. However since the prices of most basic groceries are more than offline stores, I only shop once in a while when I feel like trying out some new items.
+1. agree totally. the price and quality of daily essentials in local kiranas are way better than these weird apps
What problem will you face during your daily routine share with me kya pata muze aase kuch new idea mill jaye... Thankyou.. As your wish

Humari grocery shop hai last 60 years se or humare aise bahut sare customers hai jinka bura time aane pe humne unhe 5-6 month Tak udhar pe grocery di hai or jab unke pass paise hue to unhone return bhi kia hai. Or humare bahut sare customers ne bhi hume Kai baar help ki hai.
I will never order grocery online
1. You never know when you will be needing anything.
2. The relationship we form between the grocery shop worker and you is unique.
3. Many like conventional method of getting things done.
What an articulate guy Aakash Agarwal is ! I can listen to him talk for an entire day.
One important aspect of kinara shops is that after you have developed a relationship with them, they offer to let you buy their items on credit and pay them later. Of course, you have the BNPL option in online apps, but they might penalize you if you are late in making the payment but kinara shops usually won't penalize you.
Moreover, there are multiple grocery shops in your area but you only go to those shops where they have good customer service and knows your requirements inside out.
No one cares
@@sourabhjain2947 about your opinion
The major issue is that all the grocery products listed on these online platforms or malls are taxable….but a normal grocery shop owner don’t even talk about tax (basically most of them unknowingly and unwillingly sell their products in black)…for the time being if our government don’t strictly regulate laws to macro and micro levels especially in this industry …I don’t think these online platforms will ever able to match the price the customer will get from normal shop or vegetable cart at road side.
Absolutely
They sell cheaper because they don't know pay taxes
@@surajkumargulabchandani do you wanna buy expensive?
Bahut accha aur valuable video he
Aise hi aur videos banaye👏👏👍👍
One more negative point with milk basket if we order 4 items, they deliver all items in different polythene bags
good learning, aakash, really appreciate your efforts in explaining the concepts
Bhai zepto chal raha hai
Great work sir needs more video like this loots of learnings ♥️
Why can't grocery model function like ola uber
Means why to make dark store why not just give order to local shop and charge commission from them
Can anyone explain me this
Thats my also question
E-commerce along with Grocery industry is totally dependent on how other core industries perform .. because people earn their income from core industries.. based on that income, they spend on grocery which is FMCG industry.. if people spendable income reduces in their core work, directly it will effect FMCG an E-commerce industry.. so, it is just clear case of income, demand an supply .. nothing else.. I call it " Trinity Effect ".. coined by me.😁😁😁
Good academic interview. Appreciate if you do more like this.
So informative and well presented video. Keep making more
One way to increase profit is by manufacturing their top line products and make customers switch to their brand.
Amazon does this a lot. Whenever a product is a top selling item, Amazon will produce a similar version from Solimo, AmazonBasics, etc. which are basically Amazon companies only and eat up the competition.
Same is the ultimate goal of all these grocery companies. They want to own the distribution and start selling their own products. BigBasket already does this with Tata products.
Thank you bhaiya . Very important video for business students like us . Plz do podcasts with business people 🙏🙏🙏

Jio ne to hr jgh india k sari choti City bi khol diya within 2 km
Yes & jio ne kirana stores ko hi apne saath leke chalna start kiya so they are getting much attention from people.
I work in Blinkit customer support and Blinkit has introduced 3 layers of customers. Gold, silver and Bronze. Gold customer are prime and we give them ultimate support, if they say some item is missing, we wil straight away proceed with a redelivery or refund as per customer's preference. And average order value is quite higher as well. So it's a good strategy at the moment, but silver and bronze customers are a matter of concern. They just make false complaints and take refund only.
Just curious in blinkit, how many calls you have to handle per day?
Curious since company's running on losses, I hope it's not pressurizing it's employees
@@ankushmukherjee3219 40-45 a day. But yes so much pressure is there
@@kapiljain5191 Presure in what sense?
And thanks for letting know. I've been of the mindset that conventional jobs in grocery stores should not be replaced by corporate interests and BPOs which are just not employee friendly at all
@@ankushmukherjee3219 pressure to satisfy Gold customers and get good rating. Target is 90%.
Hey bro thanks for this info. Can you pls shall start an blinkit like company(profitable) will that be good idea according to your experience of getting feedback in calls? And do they really care to get products that fast like 10 to 15 min within?
Amazing Video & Audio ❤️ Sahil Bhai.. Content as usual is great 👍
Local market :
Fortune 1 L oil pack printed MRP 180
The local shopkeeper charges anything between 160 to 165.
Online and stores like reliance etc.:
Same 1L pack Printed MRP 200 discount 5% so final price 190 even if they give 10% discount final price is 180
Why would anyone buy from them?
All these big stores and online apps get their own MRP printed from the company itself
Yes
NOTE:
Online big basket se asirvaad aaata mangvaaya tha, 3 mahine purana aata tha, when i went offline i got same product 1 month old.
CONCLUSION : QUALITY COMPROMISED
3 months old is not an issue...main reason is online grocery stores are expensive
@@playgarcon2010no same price or expensive by 5-10 rupees which is reasonable even online prices are varies time to time. Grocery products or agro products have very less margin since they are fast moving and the farmers are highly dependent on the revenue/profits

Aaj Bahut Kuch Sikhne Ko Mila..!!
What I am able to see is that all big companies like jiomart or you can say big basket are constantly buying small or big companies like ITC is goldmines for big basket because they can save tonnes of money in the manufacturing and they have already achieved economy of scale in that particular area they have the brand recognition also. Where blinkit and zepto don't have the product recognition yet. Blinkit(grofers) getting some brand recognition in the starting people started buying his aata dal at that time. But now all the things get washed away. Amazon or Flipkart are going great right now because they have very good logistics and these types of logistics which they are following are more economical also.
The main thing is profit margins. Zepto and blinkit will never make a lot of profits. Just like zomato and swigy the profits are low and the maintenance is very high. This mostly results in losses.
Amazon is successful abroad because because most people order in bulk their entire month or months ration.
Very well explained, Aakash and Sahil thanks a lot, great learning
Thanks and welcome
Thanks sir for these kind of informational videos
Crazy next level content!!!!
This will be successful if per-cqpita reaches 10k$ and have no time to go out to purchase grocery ( as it is not so important) this will be successful in cities like Mumbai, bnglr etc. For sure. Very very tough to crack in tier2 and 3 cities. This model seems to be successful in fast-forward 10 years. But now, it seems impossible.
It is very important fool.

Big companies having advantage of getting more discounts and logistics cost and discounts recovered from hidden business technology.
But local kirana is always having advantages of customers acquisition with credit facility and direct relationships with customers (Not depend on the temporary employees)

Wow, Pragmatic and STANDS OUT
Before the delivery is picked up by the delivery boy from the pick up point, the products have to picked up and packed, does DELIVERY Cost include this labour cost?
Herd Mentality is killing our startup ecosystem. Indian's love to buy groceries off-line from local markets because for us it's a family event and we like to carefully choose our products by feeling it before buying. Market data is often manipulated and lacks actual customer sentiments.
Are u from Udupi /manglore?? 😁
One more thing to add outside india people free hoke parks jaate hai, holidays pe jaate hai.. India me log time pass karne grocery stores pe jaate hai... Many people are like chal iss bahane walk bhi ho jayegi..
I am loving this 😊

Agar koi apna grocery ki shop ya Mart open kar raha hai to wo aPna margin kaise increase kar sakta ??
Nowadays Genz was becoming lazier, which is why consumer online apps are becoming more and more and prices also converting more than normal groceries store if there can buy near the store they think no discount but if we get an online same item it will be some margin discounts so there think oh I can get discount in their mind and setting on the bed it is delivering and becoming more lazies!😔
Hi Bhai
I want to ask that why india doesn't has product based it companies only product base it company that compete with big players is Zoho in a nation of 1.38 billion people.
I will always buy groceries from my sabjiwala. Support local vendors than these big people. They are working for their daily bread.
True. It is one way of supporting our own community and local economy
Generally I use big baskets for pet food and they deliver me after 2 day but for these they don't charge any delivery fee.
And I notice that they are promoting product under their own FMCG brand like BB wellness,BB good diet for increase their margin.
What an amazing explanation
Very informative video..

Damn waited for this concept,
Excellent lecture
In India these big grocery shops won’t work,The street corner grocery shops are also doing door delivery .And accepting on line payments .Customers WhatsApp, the grocery list ,bang comes the grocery .at a much cheaper rate than charged by big stores
Grt learning 👍🏻👍🏻
This series going to lit 🔥
great informative video bro
Thanks for information sir
The online deliveryof groceries is a wonderful concept and will stay despite competition & risks....as there's a huge market potential. Not everyone goes to a kirana shop or has a neighborhood shop....! No one really wants to travel a few miles to do grocery shopping...spend time & fuel in today's maddening traffic.
With rising incomes and with both the husband & wife earning, there's little time for going to a offline shop...and one important point is that not all communities have a neighbourhood shop...as cities have expanded a lot ...
Honest Review from my side for this type of videos. Kindly take it positively! Live your videos.
Review: It looks like this channel belongs to the founder who is explaining in most of the part. But we subscribed to Sahil Khanna for his way of communication and teaching.
Solution: What can be done is you can have a separate podcast channel where you can get completely as usual founder unfiltered and based on learning from that podcast create your learning on the main channel.
Like this same video but you explaining everything and not more than 10-30 second clips of the founder. And credit the founder in beginning and end. Also you could refer to your podcast channel here and get the interested audience to enjoy that content.
This would avoid repetition of content which is sometimes annoying. Also it will help in growth of both the channel!
Open for any further discussion. Thank You.
My idea is to make authentic content that’s why always ask other to give pov
@@IntellectualIndies Would like to hear your POV in next video on Papa News or somewhere! Thank You.
